I wish someone would come out with a door that has rollers coming out from the sides instead of the bottom. I have this exact same problem with my sliding door from Lowe’s.
@vegasfordguy the top strip doesn't unscrew, I didn't notice at first and was about to remove the stationary panel to be able to remove the slider to the outside when I noticed the tiny screws on the upper channel
you could use a heat gun to soften the vinyl lip on top or bottom it will be very soft and when you get door back in heat up again and vinyl will go back in shape there my be a little wave when done
@@davekellar7339 No, I guess I'll wait until it's totally unusable. I already know what I'll be doing with it. I'll just set up a straight edge along the bottom and use an occolating tool to cut however much off of the frame is needed to remove the door.
This might be too late, but, could you cut the facia at the top of the door, similar to what you proposed at the bottom, and lean the door out from the top. Then add a trim piece along the ceiling that came down over the top of the door.
@@ruiner29 It sure was. It's definitely getting pretty hard to open and close. Once the weather warms up I'm going to cut the bottom vinyl lip so that I'll be able to lift the door out and replace the rollers.

From the words of Jane, “I could just throw a rock through the window and the insurance company will cover the damage” 😂
Many of rocks went through her windows over the years! 🤣
On mine i lowered the wheels on the door all the way, then my top trime actually unscrews then lean the top out and pick the door up
@@paparenegade7322 The wheels are maxed out, that's not the issue with this particular door unfortunately.

Did you got the door out? I had the same problems, i tried to removed to be able to move my new refrigerator. I end by a new door

Yah I am working on this now. I have removed it once before about 10 years ago so I know it comes out. Or did.
If it's not coming out now then the top of the frame could have settled over the years?
Same door same problem. Did you get it out yet?
