    100% for using things for outside their intended purpose. Prop making for mascots always leads to creative ways of doing things.

    Great video. For cleaning my grip tape on-the-go I'm using an Umpires bristle brush, fits in the pocket easily and great for cleaning debris on a damp ride. At the bearings I had some door bristle brush door sweep laying around and cut a couple of pieces 1/2" long hot glued one to each side of the underside of the rails with the bristle end touching the bearing races. It does a great job of continually wiping debris from the race/seal interface.

    Tip1; drill holes on the top and bottom rail guard strips, so you can undo the screws without needing to peel those strips off.
    Tip2; don't blast your wheel bearings with the compressed air. It can blow grit into the rubber seals and that's bad.
    Tip3; continue being "scintillating" its nice to watch genuine youtubers, much better than those irritating hype guys. 👍

      If my compressor can blow grit passed the seals, then the bearings suck and deserve the grit! My Metabo can do no wrong.
      Also, thank you!

    Take your tire to a quality tire shop and have them fill it with Nitrogen. You will never have pressure issues again. PRO TIP. When regripping your boards or anything for that matter. Use the paper backing as a way to smooth out the bubbles. Simply rip it into equal pieces and after you put the grip on. Put one piece on the grip waxy side up. Then use the second piece wax side down on top and rub on the first piece. It makes it so you can really rub that tape down. Kind of like rubbing your hand on ice if that makes sense. Try it. It works real well. If you can't afford rail guards just use grip tape. This is a cheap way to protect your investment and is easy to find. I used some striped caution tape from the Home Center. It comes in rolls just wide enough to fit with some minor trimming.

    they didnt make the bang bumpers just for their balance board they made them for both but mainly the shape of it for the onewheel itself so you can do more tricks with them due to less contact area when sliding

    If you can’t own a compressor for whatever reason, a high speed battery powered blower is also a nice option compared to canned air.

    Just ordered the GT kinda wish they could have figured out to stick with a smaller hub similar to the XR for a more of a meatier tire. Which all around I think is better. I know the bigger hub design has to do with a more powerful motor

    I don't get the sandpaper cleaner fad, but thought since i use them on my belt sander i'd try it. Nada. I do have a tire cleaning scrub brush, and as you show, works great. I don't know how anyone lives with out compressed air. Also, and i'm not sure if this is still sold, but there use to be a product known as PVC tape. It's thick and clear, doesn't leave bad residue, and protects well. Keep the vids coming, more aoxo. . .

    I use a brush a bit larger than a toothbrush to clean the grip tape. I dunk the brush in water, then scrub a small area. I follow that with blotting with a paper towel. Rinse brush, repeat. Kind of like a wet vac, with a scrubber, but a paper towel in place of a vacuum. It goes really quick.
    I tried a sanding belt cleaner - too much effort rubbing. Also all that rubbing on top of the sensor pad can not be a good thing.

    • @TheBoardGarage
      @TheBoardGarage  3 года назад +1

      That's fantastic! I'd love to try one when you're getting PCBs put together. I'm a decent beta tester. 👍 The IC shortage hit this hobby hard, and a few community folks have had their BMS designs and VESC production slowed or halted by lack of availability. Separately, battery cells are getting scarce and making projects both more difficult and more expensive. I wish I stocked up on more cells earlier this year when I had the chance.
      Anyway, thank you again! 🙏
