  • To Really Motivate Employees - STOP Demotivating Employees! It's not so much what leaders so that drives motivation at work, the research into employee motivation suggests it's more what leaders are doing that demotivate employees! It's the things at work that get in the way of employees being motivated and doing their jobs effectively!     One of the most petty ways employers demotivate their employees is to used any failures or setbacks they have against them and try to put them down as much as possible. I can see this happens at any workplace environment that have a lot of workplace politics. They reinforce this mindset that your not good enough to get ahead and we're just sticking you at where you at since your pretty good at that job.

      Thanks for the comment Kevin. I agree! That's a major source of demotivation in the workplace, and a major red flag of very ineffective leadership.
