The dagger through the teacup actually really bothers me. It's going into the teacup at the top, but appears to be coming out behind it, because it's coming out the side instead of out the bottom. The teacup should be cracked where the dagger is coming out, I don't mean aesthetically. I mean logically.
That panther tattoo is really impressive! In concept, the piece incorporates a lot of different ideas, yet it does it without looking busy or confusing. It's a really clean composition and execution.
Love the bird and the panther tattoos this week, the tattoo artist of the week shout out is Amazing and I wish I lived closer to get their art! Love this series
Educational as always. I do enjoy it when you take the time to show how part of a tattoo could be improved. It's one thing to say different line weights and totally different when we see them.
If anyone has seen the Ink Master series called Grudge Match, Katie from Ink Master did a tattoo almost identical to the one with the rose and the hand only minus the rose. The hand had the same ring and everything
That little Jordan clip on the tommy Shelby tattoo is absolutely perfect. I grew up watching come fly with me and I totally remember that commercial. McDonald’s wants you to give yourself a chance, a chance to be all the wonderful things that you really can be, and so do I! Haha amazing
Thank god for this channel bcuz I’ve learned so much jus listening to ur advice. As a customer who lacks creative vision but loves the idea of being blasted I am blown away with how much I still didn’t know after reading forums or talking to artist. I wasn’t a fan of realism or traditional until discovering this channel bcuz I never believed a tattoo artist could pull something decent enough for me to feel comfortable getting! I’ve gotten bad tats from artist with 10+ years of experience n that’s bcuz I ask for something out of their expertise or they’re jus not learning after asking questions from experts like u! A huge thing I learned from one of ur vids was when u mentioned that arms were a “high value” canvas which u didn’t go into detail explaining bcuz it’s one of those things u knew but didn’t truly understand. Now I’m more open to getting tats on my torso bcuz b4 I couldn’t think of a reason to since no one would ever see it but it’s the best place to see what colors work or even if the apprentice can pull off something I would think is a more advanced piece. A bit of a tangent but fr man I’m lovin this channel!
Hi there 👋😎 I used to think that way because I have a pathological fear of needles 😳 but I finally got my first tattoo back in October of last year 🤭 I told myself that if it went well then I would get another one 🤔🤭 so effectively even before I'd had my first tattoo, I was planning my second tattoo 🤭🤣 so all I can say is just go for it, get something small see how you get on & go from there 😎👍🏴
On the first tat i was with you for every point except the strawberry although it looked better, they started to look too real for that style to me The samuraimask was my fav 85 was dope and damn solid amazing colors but the very bold lines almost gave me a stickerfeeling but i guess thats just a bit the point of his style good critiques
Is anyone else annoyed by the spatial illogic in the first tattoo? How is that dagger going through that teacup?! It goes into the teacup, but it emerges behind the entire cup with the cup bottom it should have pierced through entirely now in front of it. There's no shattered porcelain to show what the knife did. Maybe this would make more sense if the angle of the cup or dagger was clearly leaning toward or away from us, but both are seen dead on.
Most of the tattoos in these videos aren’t bad. These are just critiques. Ways to make sure they improve in the future. Having room to improve and grow doesn’t mean where you were at was bad.
4:00 All of the fingers have the same starting points. the thumb should start way lower and the starting point from index to pinky should slightly get lower. its freaking me out.
Oh no no no that jaguar is messed up big time look at the claws the flowers the shading the faces and the teeth. It's a solid 2 out of 10 no Bueno for me...
That portrait looked to be pretty overworked from the reflection in the right side that I could see. Also study your reference and always follow it. Never guess or think you remember. Ya don’t. I’ve went through the whole process in the past 15 years. Stick with fundamentals, tattoo what you see.

I submitted a couple pieces a while back. I'm sure you get a lot maybe ill see mine up.

I saw this too and felt really uncomfortable seeing it that way..
Same!
Ditto.

I am very happy with it.🙏
Daniel Nedelcu is a great artist, check him out guys!

Damn that bird with the branch is CLEAN
Thank you so much for posting and reviewing my tattoo Pony, I’ll continue to learn and grow 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I've had a migraine today. 🤕 It was nice to wake up to a new video. 🥰

I love the honesty and that even when you’re tearing something apart you do it in such a constructive way that it’d be hard to be mad.

Not a lot of "birders" these days.
I believe that is a Black-capped Chickadee 🤔🤣
@@alexvadeboncoeur7841 You speak the words of an ornithologist! 🐦👏
Few, but we’re here. Spring has finally sprung here, along with the spring migration!
Pony, you need to open a school - take it from me, a retired university professor. I love good tattoos, and only wish I could sit through the pain. ❤

Numbing cream is an option. You just have to talk to your artist about it beforehand.
The teacup and dagger gold was a saving touch!
The first tattoo, the dagger goes through/into the cup at top, but the blade is behind the cup at the bottom.
Love you pony thanks for sharing you knowledge ❤
I can't even with that dagger's blade, god damn that thing is misaligned.
Im curious, do you get any submissions from clients with darker skin tones... and how do you feel about using white on melanated skin?
Great video Pony. And 85tattooer is great!
Pony, you rock dude. Just wanted to say that
Birder here. It's a chickadee. I believe it's a black capped.
My favourite today was the chickadee. ❤
The first. The knife go through AND behind the cup?
On the first tat i was with you for every point except the strawberry although it looked better, they started to look too real for that style to me
The samuraimask was my fav
85 was dope and damn solid amazing colors but the very bold lines almost gave me a stickerfeeling but i guess thats just a bit the point of his style
good critiques
That Thomas Shelby tattoo, if you look at the hat, the hat looks amazing
I literally used your code the other day to buy numbing cream to test it out
1:34 my biggest issue with the tea dagger is that the dagger doesn’t seem to meet up.
6:54 hahaha
The sparrow itself looks more realism where the branch it's standing on looks just illustrative or traditional comic book like.
4:08 thats a 6 finger hand
Lov3 this channel
I think it's a Black-capped Chickadee
I think that bird tattoo is a nuthatch or a chickadee 😊❤
@PonyLawson What software are you using in the video to make suggested changes?
Would like to see a episode that includes people with darker skin
Imo the mask photo became more realistic when healed, because of lesser sharpness :)
That peaky blinders tattoe looks nothing like the "reference" tottally different person
Do you have a waiting list I need a good tattoo or 15 fixed 😮
i love your videos!!!

Where does Pony work? What town\state? Anyone
The more I learn, the less I want a tattoo. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't know a bad tattoo, if I had one.

Are you sure she used stipple or are those freckles?
7:21 WTF is that? It looks like an incomplete, bottom half, of a hannya mask?!?
4:00 All of the fingers have the same starting points. the thumb should start way lower and the starting point from index to pinky should slightly get lower. its freaking me out.
Wasn’t this dude on ink master
Even that its not a part of the videos anymore, we all know that Tommy Shelby would be the toilet tattoo of the week.
Am i the only one that thinks that hand is trying to grow a 6th finger?
Oh no no no that jaguar is messed up big time look at the claws the flowers the shading the faces and the teeth. It's a solid 2 out of 10 no Bueno for me...
Looks like a bluetit to me not a sparrow, don't know if you get bluetits in America or not
4:02 that there is a six fingered hand
It only has 5 fingers but the knuckles are done in kind of an odd way. They almost look like scales.
@@taviaparker7959 it took me a bit to see it but once you described i looked closer and you are right!

I liked that bird on a branch. Simple but well done!
Hi Pony, I do believe that black & white bird was a Blue tit 🤔😎👍🏴
The eyes in that micro portrait are terrifying. Not in a good way.
Is it just me or does his voice sound just like Penn Badgley
Never sending my work into pony. Not ever
That's okay
