nice.video.congratulations and nice channel. I am writing from Italy and I fish for stock trout thoroughly. I don't use the swivel. I insert the lead, lengthened and not egg-shaped, of 3 - 4 g, to avoid snags and be lighter and more imperceptible when the trout bites, especially the large ones that I am looking for. then I insert 2 sliding silicone stoppers and finally a circle hook, usually number 6. all directly on the main line of the reel. obviously Powerbait bait. I fish immediately below the shore, and the lakes I frequent the water is very transparent in the autumn and winter periods, so I always cast immediately below the shore and fish as soon as the powerbait disappears from my sight. fun guaranteed!
Yea give it a try! A O.G trout fishermen showed me at one of the lakes and ever since then my hookup ratio is way better just lift and reel into it! Thanks for commenting bro! Fish on!
Yes with ultra lights it’s best to stick to there raitings you can get away using heavier gear but just be carful as the are super fragil and a wrong cast with extra weight can snap a rod real quick
Yes make sure you using a small enough hook so that the small glob of bait or power egg will keep you leader afloat off the bottom…I usually test it in the water before casting

should 1/2oz - 3/4oz weights be used on ultralight rods with a lure rating up to 1/4oz or should i use a 1/4oz weight?

so the power bait floats up with the hook?
