I'm under the impression that Vanny's hack took all the animatronics strongest traits and cranked them up to 11. Sorta like in DdLc where sure they might have some flaws, but were never fully intended to eat trash, destroy stuff, or become so insecure that you reflect their own thoughts of self-hatred onto a child. I think they're probably fine outside of the Security Breach.
I think maybe it made them worse, but that their issues are a result of 'flanderization' in a way from Fazbear Entertainment creating intelligent AI and then forcing it to mimic one-note cartoon characters.
Here's my theory, the one I run with as most likely in my mind. Fazbear needed a shortcut, their animatronics based on the mimic weren't working out. Solution: the crap they tried to bury about Afton, remnant. We have one smoking gun, Glamrock Chica acts a lot like FNAF 1 Chica. We know that FNAF 1 Chica and Michel Afton burned in the same building, so if Fazbear were trying to scrounge up remnant from existing sources then Chica lets the fan favorite "Michel is Glamrock Freddy" theory have legs. I think what we're seeing, is well-controlled remnant management, the remnant is forced to do it's thing through the computer as a surrogate for a brain than directly. This means that programming can be used to modify their thoughts and behaviors to a degree. If Monty really did harm Bonnie, then this isn't much different that when Vanessa used the staff bots to disassemble Freddy (which we know can also host remnant thanks to help wanted 2). So, imagine if you were made to kill someone you loved dearly, but also your brain was modified to get angry instead of sad any time you thought about it. You're still going to grieve incompletely. Putting wet floor signs around his body so he's not alone, hiding from people in the catwalks, missing shows... Heck, I could definitely see his initial freakout where he destroys his room being because "If Bonnie were here he'd know what to do, I'm such a failure!" Being stuck in that state, in the dark and broken... Fuck, going feral makes sense. With the virus in place, yeah he's going to be cold. He will believe that he doesn't deserve this attention and kindness, but even thinking about it too loudly will put you at risk. Low self-esteem, but inwardly thoughtful. A cured Monty though, probably a goofy himbo like Freddy.
He's a tsundere, he needs time to be open to the ranking. XD ...Okay, more specifically I just feel like Sun and Moon are such a duel package that it felt weird separating them this time.
I ike to think that dating Chica would end up fixing her food addiction, because having you around would fill that void inside of her better than any pizza. imagine: As you continue to go on dates with Chica, you start to notice a gradual change. you both spend less and less time preparing food, and Chica begins to eat less. eventually, she stops bringing you into food prep altogether. You ask why, because you know how much food makes her happy. Chica looks at you apologetically. she realizes that she hasn't been a great girlfriend to you, essentially using you to satisfy her cravings. more than that, however, she realizes that she feels happier around you than she did with endless food. she tells you that even though she thought the food was making her feel good, it was being close to you that made her smile in the end. Chica doesn't need food. she just needs you. Chica pulls you into a close hug, still smelling a bit like old pizza, and calls you by a pet name; Cupcake.
I dunno, its a 2 way street, either this sweet ending for her.. or she gets over obsessed with the food due to being brought out and choosing restaurants.. to the point she genuinely can't go without it. She doesn't want to be like this but with her addictive personality, can't really get enough or let go without extreme effort that she might not have.

I'm living for all of the videos on getting close to the animatronics. You cover the important topics that all the fans are craving. You tell a story so well, I can picture these being the date scenes in a dating sim visual novel.
And between this and the two current kissing guides (possibly a third in the future for book anims, which sounds exciting!), I just appreciate that she doesn't drastically change important elements of the characters themselves just to make them fit better for the topic, feels more authentic that way! Like, I don't think there's a single more correct answer for MXES than them just straight up saying no and leaving, that's the stuff I love about these videos!
Personal grading of the 'tronics because I'm bored and it's late. -Freddy: He's a delight generally across the board and not a snooty intellectual, but he seems like someone who would try to hard and not really get romance. Obviously there's nothing wrong with that, but it theoretically means really getting close to him in a relationship kind of way would take a heap of work. Still a 9/10, I would prefer him as a friend and pal. -Chica: I can't figure out if her flaws could be fixed, or at least worked around. Okay probably not, not without some work. I can't help but wonder what she'd be like after some rehab... or at least reprogramming to get that whole foodie quirk out of her system. Would she be more energetic and interested in other things aside from food and electric guitar playing? Who knows. There is likely no love there and it's as you say, you're pretty much bribing her to go out with you. 3/10. -Monty: I think he could be less dangerous if you take up some hobbies and pasttimes he'd want to probably engage in more. Like say, anything revolving around breaking stuff so head to a junkyard and bring a couple sledgehammers. Possibly having an outlet for his rage might help make things less dangerous and maybe having some more common ground with Monty might make him slightly more receptive for dating? 5/10? -Roxy: Unlike Monty and Chica there's less need for a what-if-they-were-reasonable scenario. Yes Roxy is egotistical, yes she's got that "boss-bitch" personality, but vs Chica and Monty she has the strongest likelihood of being reached, or hell even reaching out to someone if they showed interest in her as a person and not just a face or an animatronic. I think it would take a long time and a lot of work to get past her surface, but it's worth it since Roxy is more emotionally stable than the other two and definitely values relationships. A generous 8/10. -Daycare attendant: I can't help but think he has this depressed clown vibe off-stage, I don't think he'd be as hyperactive and maybe a little more manageable so you can get a word in on conversations. Also I just think Moon is a goober more than someone that would murder you. Either way, Moon seems like a more manageable problem. I mean, maybe you could just speak to Moon like he's another person and work out a relationship with the both of them? Eh, maybe. 6/10, 7/10 if you can score both or at least permanently pacify Moon to some capacity. -DJ Music Man: Honestly this guy feels too huge, he could crush you with his hand. The size difference is too scary but I love the idea of him always having music specially for you. I'm not for the idea... but I think in theory he's at least a 6/10. -Mimic: No. The scenario included makes me no even harder. No/10. -Map Bot: I'm not sure how I feel about dating a possible ghost. Honestly, just a bit too safe for my liking, what's the point of dating a robot if it's not a challenge. 5/10. -MXes: He is a virtual being and you're required to keep the Vanny on at all times just to see him. Do you want to wear that thing given the Mimic and probably other things can just... implant stuff into your head? I don't. 2/10, will just say no and will not (cannot) kill you.

The Date with Mimic idea would have made for an awesome Fazbear Fright/Tale from the Pizzaplex. Mimic trying to impress you with a meshed suit is so goofy, and I love the scarier twist at the end. If it were in the books though replace date with learning they existed and wanted to see if they were real or just a myth.
My headcannon for them excluding their looks: Monty: Rage issues, immediate red flag. Will DEFINITELY be an abuser (considering the Bonny theory). Roxy: Very VERY demanding and she does give Karen vibes... I can't imagine her getting on time too considering her inability to make up her mind. Chica: The addiction is a turn off, and I can almost always see her emptying someone's fridge if they do take it seriously. And we all know what she does when she can't satisfy her hunger... Freddy: Multiple divorcee DILF that has a son and is always too good or naive and has bad taste in relationships. Will most definitely be given the "I want someone BOLDER" note and get divorced via letters. And is the type to FORGIVE the one who left him instead of getting angry. NGL all of them except Freddy are red flags.

This video was an absolute delight. The mimic section was both hilarious and horrifying, that one's gonna haunt me for uhhh forever probably. Honestly, I see Map Bot’s atypical communication as a plus. I really struggle socially, so without the pressure of trying to have a traditional date with lots of traditional talking, I feel like we could have a unique connection just being in each other’s space and finding out how to communicate with each other. That is, of course, assuming Map Bot is sentient.
Right?? I always find that the most interesting part of imagining what hanging out with MapBot would be like. Trying to figure out a way to communicate despite MapBot not being able to speak outside of pre-programmed lines and not having enough fingers to sign very well. They'd likely rely partially on gestures/charades when possible, with MapBot using a notebook (likely supplied by the other person, I doubt FazCo gave the guy anything to write on/with) for anything that can't be acted out.

I'm under the impression that Vanny's hack took all the animatronics strongest traits and cranked them up to 11. Sorta like in DdLc where sure they might have some flaws, but were never fully intended to eat trash, destroy stuff, or become so insecure that you reflect their own thoughts of self-hatred onto a child. I think they're probably fine outside of the Security Breach.
I think maybe it made them worse, but that their issues are a result of 'flanderization' in a way from Fazbear Entertainment creating intelligent AI and then forcing it to mimic one-note cartoon characters.

Here's my theory, the one I run with as most likely in my mind. Fazbear needed a shortcut, their animatronics based on the mimic weren't working out. Solution: the crap they tried to bury about Afton, remnant. We have one smoking gun, Glamrock Chica acts a lot like FNAF 1 Chica. We know that FNAF 1 Chica and Michel Afton burned in the same building, so if Fazbear were trying to scrounge up remnant from existing sources then Chica lets the fan favorite "Michel is Glamrock Freddy" theory have legs.
I think what we're seeing, is well-controlled remnant management, the remnant is forced to do it's thing through the computer as a surrogate for a brain than directly. This means that programming can be used to modify their thoughts and behaviors to a degree.
If Monty really did harm Bonnie, then this isn't much different that when Vanessa used the staff bots to disassemble Freddy (which we know can also host remnant thanks to help wanted 2).
So, imagine if you were made to kill someone you loved dearly, but also your brain was modified to get angry instead of sad any time you thought about it.
You're still going to grieve incompletely. Putting wet floor signs around his body so he's not alone, hiding from people in the catwalks, missing shows... Heck, I could definitely see his initial freakout where he destroys his room being because "If Bonnie were here he'd know what to do, I'm such a failure!" Being stuck in that state, in the dark and broken... Fuck, going feral makes sense.
With the virus in place, yeah he's going to be cold. He will believe that he doesn't deserve this attention and kindness, but even thinking about it too loudly will put you at risk. Low self-esteem, but inwardly thoughtful.

Personal grading of the 'tronics because I'm bored and it's late.
-Freddy: He's a delight generally across the board and not a snooty intellectual, but he seems like someone who would try to hard and not really get romance. Obviously there's nothing wrong with that, but it theoretically means really getting close to him in a relationship kind of way would take a heap of work. Still a 9/10, I would prefer him as a friend and pal.
-Chica: I can't figure out if her flaws could be fixed, or at least worked around. Okay probably not, not without some work. I can't help but wonder what she'd be like after some rehab... or at least reprogramming to get that whole foodie quirk out of her system. Would she be more energetic and interested in other things aside from food and electric guitar playing? Who knows. There is likely no love there and it's as you say, you're pretty much bribing her to go out with you. 3/10.
-Monty: I think he could be less dangerous if you take up some hobbies and pasttimes he'd want to probably engage in more. Like say, anything revolving around breaking stuff so head to a junkyard and bring a couple sledgehammers. Possibly having an outlet for his rage might help make things less dangerous and maybe having some more common ground with Monty might make him slightly more receptive for dating? 5/10?
-Roxy: Unlike Monty and Chica there's less need for a what-if-they-were-reasonable scenario. Yes Roxy is egotistical, yes she's got that "boss-bitch" personality, but vs Chica and Monty she has the strongest likelihood of being reached, or hell even reaching out to someone if they showed interest in her as a person and not just a face or an animatronic. I think it would take a long time and a lot of work to get past her surface, but it's worth it since Roxy is more emotionally stable than the other two and definitely values relationships. A generous 8/10.
-Daycare attendant: I can't help but think he has this depressed clown vibe off-stage, I don't think he'd be as hyperactive and maybe a little more manageable so you can get a word in on conversations. Also I just think Moon is a goober more than someone that would murder you. Either way, Moon seems like a more manageable problem. I mean, maybe you could just speak to Moon like he's another person and work out a relationship with the both of them? Eh, maybe. 6/10, 7/10 if you can score both or at least permanently pacify Moon to some capacity.
-DJ Music Man: Honestly this guy feels too huge, he could crush you with his hand. The size difference is too scary but I love the idea of him always having music specially for you. I'm not for the idea... but I think in theory he's at least a 6/10.
-Mimic: No. The scenario included makes me no even harder. No/10.
-Map Bot: I'm not sure how I feel about dating a possible ghost. Honestly, just a bit too safe for my liking, what's the point of dating a robot if it's not a challenge. 5/10.
-MXes: He is a virtual being and you're required to keep the Vanny on at all times just to see him. Do you want to wear that thing given the Mimic and probably other things can just... implant stuff into your head? I don't. 2/10, will just say no and will not (cannot) kill you.

The Date with Mimic idea would have made for an awesome Fazbear Fright/Tale from the Pizzaplex. Mimic trying to impress you with a meshed suit is so goofy, and I love the scarier twist at the end.

Honestly, I see Map Bot’s atypical communication as a plus. I really struggle socially, so without the pressure of trying to have a traditional date with lots of traditional talking, I feel like we could have a unique connection just being in each other’s space and finding out how to communicate with each other. That is, of course, assuming Map Bot is sentient.
Right?? I always find that the most interesting part of imagining what hanging out with MapBot would be like. Trying to figure out a way to communicate despite MapBot not being able to speak outside of pre-programmed lines and not having enough fingers to sign very well. They'd likely rely partially on gestures/charades when possible, with MapBot using a notebook (likely supplied by the other person, I doubt FazCo gave the guy anything to write on/with) for anything that can't be acted out.

The real moments i've been waiting for: Giga Monty (separate from Monty cuz Giga Monty exists in the world no matter what state Monty is in), Wet Floor bots (cuz funny), and the Daycare Attendant (hoping they're split into 2 sections but makes more sense to be a single section.
