Looking good, that lynx pelt is so nice, all the trap sets look real good, thank you for sharing, it’s showing me how to do it and get success, thank you, Bob
Happy New Year Andrew, hope you have a great trapping season ahead in 2024. Really enjoy your content, I’m sure it’s a lot of work to put together, but it is appreciated by your viewers.
Andrew you should build a couple more cabins and AirBnb them out. I'm from Ireland and I'd love to spend a week or two in that beautiful environment just chillin, walking and scadooing all around the place. 'Trapping Tours'
Hawbaker is also my favorite. I used to like O.L. Butcher and Lipperts too. You’ll get that twenty years. I have been on the line over sixty years and still doing it. Not for a living, but it’s in my blood. Nice cubby sets you made Andrew. Happy New Year!
Hey Andrew, looks like things are going well. I don’t set for otter to often on account of the fact that I like watching them. Having said that I don’t get bummed if I catch one accidentally. Their fur is so soft. I hope the groot is doing well, good luck and stay safe out there friend 👍👍
Love your cubbies. Been watching since you first started. Try skunking up your sets heavy, you’re gonna like it. We don’t have skunk in the high ranges of lower 48 Rocky mtns either.
You should try lure with skunk essence in it because a Skunks are not common in your area , it may trigger other critters curiosity to come check it out, maybe just as an experiment!
I have used it many times and was never too pleased wen i ee tracks up to the set and they look but don't take the bait. That is why I am not a fan of it. If it was a good bait the animal wouldent reject it!
I wouldn’t worry about the skunk smell. I don’t have skunks when I live either but whenever I start a bait station I put a skunky lure like gusto above the bait and find it gets checked out first night.
Where do morels grow in Canada? The dried morels Forbes stocks come from the Canadian far North, in BC, Yukon and the Northwest territories, where they flourish following forest fires and can carpet the ground with abundant growth.
I have a couple different pairs of baffin winter boots. Wen -20 or under i wear the Feltless baffin industrial. Any colder I will wear the baffin polar proven. Both good boots! They are the better boots I have used and like!
@@TheWildNorth thanks for getting back to me . I watch a lot of your videos and enjoy them. I’ve seen the boots you wear and couldn’t figure out what they were. Thanks for the good information. I’m sure it will help a lot of people living in the north. Have a good night.
Some people don't know how remote my camp is. I have never in my life seen another person or person tracks on my trapline. No one comes out here the few trappers in the north have there own traplines. It's cold and and people are scared of venturing off the beaten path. Thanks for commenting stay tuned
@@TheWildNorth yea I know that your Métis cause you be rocking that Métis clothing & symbols, my people are Métis & dene. Nice to know though thank you

Thanks Andrew, let us know how the Forsyth lure works for you.
Will do buddy
I approve this message…
You need to get some Hell Fire or Trapper J “Oh F@$k” for trapping!!
I wonder did the fires force a lot of game into your area?
Hi Andrew, Happy New Year. Wondering what type of boots you find best for the winter trap line.
I have a couple different pairs of baffin winter boots. Wen -20 or under i wear the Feltless baffin industrial. Any colder I will wear the baffin polar proven. Both good boots! They are the better boots I have used and like!

How do you keep track of your traplines? Do you have a map that shows what is yours? Coud someone else start running your trap line?

No, just get trail cam footage of the critter
What kind of Hawbakers lure do you use?
Wildcat lure #2
Happy New Year and hope 2024 trapping is successful. Hope the sled holds up well also 🦡
Happy New Year from Alberta! Question: why dont you set for otter?
There kinda in my back yard and i like seeing them. I just want a couple pelts for fur mitts and hats
Ok. They are the most entertaining critters lol.
