That lodge was a beaver trappers paradise!! Awesome job my friend and to catch one while you were walking up that thing was huge!! Thank you for sharing!
When the critters see 330 coming, they know it's ''GAME-OVER''!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! OKAY, so now, for the elephant in the room. What does each beaver pay?
haven't seen a lodge like that since i was in Alaska back in the early 80s ,,great job cleaning up so many large beavers two of which were giants ..congrat 330
You're hilarious. If you had told me a year ago I'd be addicted to beaver trapping and beaver trapping videos I would have laughed at you. Beavers flooded the best deer hunting on my property. The punishment for that is obviously death. So I had to learn the ways, the magic, of the 330, at first out of necessity. But now it's like crack. I must have watched you pull 100 beavers out of the ice. How is it possible that it never gets old? I watch your videos the way normal people watch Game Of Thrones. This is so fucked up. I think I need a shrink.
Crazy weather we're having this winter. Wild to see usable ice. I'm in se Wisconsin and guys are getting their boats back out to fish. Thank you for sharing. Your videos are so informative and have been really helpful to me
First, Happy belated birthday!! Last, EPIC first check!! I'm loving these beaver trapping video's! I'd love to know how much these suckers weigh. Thanks so much & I'll see you on the next one! ❤❤
Friday the 5 th I’m trapping a lodge larger than this one with 10 active bank dens. Been waiting to get in there. Finally been given the go ahead. I know the excited feeling
Happy Birthday and congrats on a great couple days of amazing catches!!! Thank You, Thank You and Thank You for changing your vid intro and ending... was so fed up with FF past the intro and having my ear drums blasted by that irritating song at the end. Did I say Thank You? 😎🤣 I will definately start watching more of your vids again... and actually subscribe 😊 Take Care! Al. SHARON, Ontario Canada eh
Scottie what do you do with the tails? Do you eat the meat? Those two big beavers 🦫 were huge nice job. Now work begins you have to skin them all I wonder how long that is going to take? Happy birthday to you 👑 of beaver trapping.
Do you by chance have a video of how you brace up and anchor the 330 into the mud. I trap a lot of creeks and usually have a lot of sticks around. I see in your videos you set the trap sideways and put a single stick through the spring holes. Where do you place other sticks to keep trap from spinning?
All my other videos I show how to use a swivel stick. It keeps the trap from swinging. I drive a stick into the bottom and cable my trap to it for an anchor
We have a 5 foot set back law , from lodges and dens , stinks, I’ve got some hot spots but you gotta fence them . Walking in over a mile , my first year gonna try trapping ice . I got a few blankets in the fall but this spot has 3 giant lodges 7 dams they was checking and repairing, we have 3 inches of ice but should get another few inches next week , can’t wait 👍🏻
My cousin & I trapped on the Susquehanna River up near its source (little more than a creek at that point) rats, mink, otters & beaver were all there. In order to catch beaver & not the otters we used baited underwater conibears near feed beds. Otters were not inclined to go for vegetable type baits. Carrots, potatoes,Aspen, ear corn & apples all worked. We added wire to the triggers with furrels & just let them hang there. Any where will work but feed beds are best, they wouldnt be there if eating wasnt on their mind. Worked well in any water depth. Activity was almost always a good head catch that might include 1 or both front feet. Run,bank dens, lodge sets were where you would hit the otters who had low numbers. When otter numbers are up, fish works well for bait on all of them, just put the wires through the small fish ,above, below water or ice or on the bank with 220. Takes everything on the bank.mink, rats, otter, beaver, coon, fox, coyotes sometimes just cover it from bird sight.
You probably pushed that beaver into the trap with the sound of your walking on the ice. They are not really that afraid of you when they are under the ice, they know they are safe from you & other predators top side. They just move away & look for a place to hole up & get some air. I've followed them on rare clear ice for a damn long way.
It is pretty crazy that a giant dude can literally step on top of the beaver’s runs and place the traps and they still swim on through anyway. Guess it is a rodent. Lol
Awesome Beavers, that was probably one of your easiest place to trap. Congratulations
Awesome cleanup and that one was TOAD!!! Not only that but was beautifully colored, you deserved that find for all the hard one's you do.
Thanks George!! And thank you for your support!
What a great location for you Maniac! Hope you're feeling better soon.

So just how heavy was that fresh caught beaver? Quite a haul from one short stretch of bank line.

Happy Birthday, Scott. Awesome Vid! I can't believe how fat that one was. You'll have to update us on how much she weighed....Plz.
Other than duke what brand traps do you use?
33:00 Please keep the ''70 pounder'''!!! Make me a hat!!
Do you have a video of the 86 pound one
Looks like coyote are checking those runs out to
Wow 60 pounds !
The only time a beaver trapper will say that trapping them is easy. How rare is that?
My biggest was 72. An it was BIG. Had like to have see that 86?you caught lol
You called it when you said : Beaver utopia!:
Do you trap long hair fur. What do you do with all your carcasses…..just curious that’s a lot of bait for long hair.
are beavers aggressive? Have you ever had one charge you?
Man this was unreal. Those things had to be doing so much damage to that place. That was a bunch of land sharks in one spot.
You could tell you just caught that big one he was so limp
👍🏻😎🇺🇸

My biggest is 72 lbs, massive animal, less than 2 weeks and it's hammer time
