- This is a quick book summary of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. This channel discusses and reviews books, novels, and short stories through drawing...poorly.
Transcript: This is a story about a girl named Scout Finch who lives in Maycomb, Alabama. She lives with her father, Atticus, older brother, Jem, and cook, Calpurnia.
Scout plays in the neighborhood with Jem and their friend Dill, who lives in another town.
Scout is smart for her age, as she can read pretty well. However, her teacher scolds her for having learned to read from her father.
Scout lives near the Radley house, which is infamous in the community. Supposedly, a man named Boo Radley still lives there, but no one has seen him come out.
The kids play near the house and try to get Boo to come out, but Atticus tells them to leave Boo alone.
One morning it begins to snow in Maycomb, which is extremely rare. Jem and Scout build a snowman with the light snow in their yard. However, their neighbor’s house catches on fire and the entire town is out to help.
During the commotion, Boo Radley puts a blanket around Scout’s shoulders, though she doesn’t realizes it until later.
Because Atticus is a lawyer, he is assigned to represent Tom Robinson, a Black man, in a rape case. Word travels quickly and soon a boy at school teases Scout about it. Atticus warns Scout that she must not fight or get upset when people speak badly of him and that people will be speaking badly about him in the upcoming months because of the case.

You didn't mention the fact that Tom Robinson had a deformed left arm so therefore could not have hurt Mayella + Jem had a broken arm so he couldn't have killed Mr Ewell and it was actually Boo who killed Bob Ewell but they said that he fell on his own knife to protect Boo from the lime light because he was someone who preferred to be isolated.

When he was nearly 13 jem got his arm badly broken at the elbow when it healed and his fears of never being able to play football again were assuaged he became seldom self-conscience of his injury

"Go Set A Watchmen", was a follow-up on Atticus and Scout years later. I've mixed feelings about this posthumous novel, but would still like a review of it. It's hard to wrap my head around such a twist. I wouldn't be surprised if the South handled situations that way in the past.
+wysiwyg43 I recently made a video about Go Set a Watchman. Compared to To Kill A Mockingbird, it was subpar, but then again, I believe it was written before To Kill a Mockingbird and only released all these years later. Lee's writing improved between novels and the story arc was much better.

Saved my life literally
You know, I never understood the way they handled the climax. Atticus failed in his goal to save an innocent man, the guy was killed anyway, and later on Ewell starts antagonizing Atticus until Boo puts a stop to it, and even though the case failed, there's a happy ending as if the trial never happened. I mean, it's like I'm not even reading the same story.

This channel doesn't 'discuss' anything; it just recaps the events. A wikipedia synopsis can do that. Perhaps if you discussed the themes of the book too this video would be a bit more relevant? The events are meaningless otherwise anyway.
