    Personally, I would've cut out the photos using Photoshop and saved them as separate layers.
    But this method is pretty good.

      Although that method would look slightly better - the extra work/steps involved wouldnt be worth it for this type of effect unless you were looking for extreme precision - I also find people enjoy performing an effect strictly within Premiere Pro without having to use another program to complete an effect :)

      @@adobemadesimple 100%, we have 2 editors, one is a whizz in AE so does it in there, the other is more PP so being able to achieve similar results without having to invest time into learning the more complex and polished option is really useful! loaded up a few of your tutorials to look through, great stuff from what I have seen so far!

      @@adobemadesimpleit would definitely be worth it to cut it out precisely in photoshop. it's pretty bad when you can see the outer parts moving that are supposed to be cut out. it makes sense to just do it quickly for the tutorial but not an actual final product in my opinion
