As golfer's we are quick enough to complain about the course. But with the British weather and knobs who can't repair pitch Mark's. Green keepers do a grand job for little praise from us golfers. Great video James

The greens crew are the most valuable people at every golf course. All members/players should thank them for al, they do to make our game great! John has the perfect plan for a club championship….same quality just a tad bit quicker. Perfect! Cheers to the crew at Woolley Park!

I worked grounds crew for many years at the White Bear Yacht Club in Minnesota, USA. A Donald Ross designed course. It was an incredible feeling being able to say I was a part of making that course look the way it did. It was an honor in my opinion.

Absolutely find it interesting. The unsung and oft-unfairly-maligned guys and gals toiling early in the morning and late in the evening to keep the course in shape, and especially for our club comps. What I find about my course is that the pins are far too often set WAAAY too close to the fringe - should be no less than 10' but often are less than 5'.

Depends on the slopes in the greens. If the slopes are extreme, then you don't want much more than 9 or 10. If the greens are a bit flatter, then I love 11 or 12 (my course here in Georgia USA is about 9 to 10 but there are huge slopes in some of the greens but my old course in Rhode Island, a Donald Ross course, was anywhere from 11 to 13 because there were less extreme slopes).
