On my 026, I just put a thick OD piece of tygon in and pushed on an Echo style tank vent. I have the tower vent cover style handle. Uses an umbrella valve in the tank. I also widened the muffler holes to 9/16" from the 1/4” it had. I have the original basic can muffler with nothing in it.
Great job on this video brother. I know you touched on the calculations needed to check the tolerances of a chainsaw cylinder. Maybe for a future video, you could get a couple different sized cylinders from a couple different brands of chainsaws to visibly walk your audience through the process step by step. I’m more of a hands on learner same as many other people are so seeing it broken down into steps where we could create our own sorta checklist to follow would be greatly appreciated.
If you need a 026 oem cylinder in excellent shape let me know i will donate it to you. I paid 100 bucks for it but the cylinder on mine was still in excellent shape!
