Can i use 40cm size bar for this chainsaw ?
@@ivanristic1353 According to husqvarnas bar and chain guide, yes you can use 16"/40cc bar type # is HL180-56 chain is H36-56. You need a 56DL 3/8" pitch .050 gauge chain for proper 16" bar. These are numbers and stats you can use as reference of you're looking to save and buy aftermarket bar a d chain. Hope this helps! If you would like a copy of this chart gimme an email. Thanks broo

Hey Matthew , great to see you doing a live, I really enjoyed it.. Hopefully you will be able to produce some new content over the next few months.. Cheers, Simon..
That is part of the plan, new content. However, I do intend to continue trying to bring the content that I recorded to cover the last 3 months as priority. Sadly tech issues, bad health and overall discouragment prevented hundreds of hours of footage from being edited. So I've been working on editing the content And processing to a version that will upload to RUclips. We're gonna try using a streaming service I heard is a way to get videos to RUclips. So my hope is that's gonna make things run a whole lot smoother so that I can do a better job for all you've awesome viewers.
That’s my saw, glad the cylinder & piston weren’t hurt! And for the bar nuts, I just used the scrench you include with your saws to tighten them, probably a bit too tight but not impact wrench tight! Lol. Did your uncle pull the bar and reassemble at some point?

glad to see you doing better after surgery and back in your shop missed your video bro
@@SandDsmallenginerepair This is an old video. I haven't been in the shop Except for a live video I did a few weeks back. I still have some more time of healing I'll find out on the 10th if I get the increase from a 5 pound restriction though. I stockpiled videos for you guys that I could work on and keep content coming while I was in recovery but I have been having lots of issues getting an upload fully Complete. Fortunately, I've recently been told of streaming apps that I can actually use to get the videos to the internet other than straight uploads. So I'm going to try see if that will work because we've got like 60 videos you guys haven't gotten yet and I'm way behind now bc I don't want to trash them. That means I gotta get some done in order to clear up space to shoot new vidd.
Hey man, I’m sorry to hear about this, I’ve been in your boat too with issues and projects. Did the cylinder coating delaminate and cause the piston failure or do you have any root cause on what was defective? Thanks for sharing your experience 🍻
@@HawtSawz86 I looked at every single thing I could think of and I had to accept it was just most likely a defective kit. Ended up putting a meteor kit bc I wasn't about to try another hyway kit. I'll hopefully be able to spend some time to try a hyway kit again. Right now just waiting for the doc to clear me to work again. The 10th I see him and finger crossed, everything looks good and I can work again. Sadly, the surgery did not seem to help and my pain has not improved. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Thanks for showing us ,my 230 fires and runs for a while then i cant get the dam thing to run again so ive put carb kits on it ,replaced the carb i put it all together again runs then dies and cant get it going again ,im suspecting HT lead so gonna put complete coil on tmoro see how that goes .now ive seen it done .Greetings from Wales UK ,sounds kinda cold there with you sniffing ,its cold wet and damp here . Take care thanks again .
I would pull your muffler just to be sure your piston isn't scored. You can also look through the spark plug port and see most of the area where transfer might start. I do diagnostics a little bit different than most guys . I like to eliminate the major problems before I diagnose smaller problems, because if I have a saw and I find small stuff and then I go and fix it all but then I find it didn't resolve the problem, then I got to do all kinds of going backwards stuff. If you still have issues neighbor feel free to reach out: my cell is 346-263-1077 and my email is Small engine redemption@gmail.com. I know you are in the UK but some people have free international calling so if you wanted to have diagnostics discussion via phone that's cool. Email if you can't call because RUclips changed the way I find my viewers comments. I've missed two months of comments since they changed it. Basically they've designed it so that we creators have to spend a lot of time to find new comments made on older videos. Right now I've got videos from 2 years ago getting all kinds of comments, the old way I got to filter by comments I haven't responded to yet, even if they are made on a video 5 years ago. I really miss having my comments tab because I can filter it and I can ensure I never miss replying to comments. I have promised from the start of this channel, I will reply to every comment even if it takes awhile . You guys deserve that you are supporting the channel by viewing and commenting. Plus my channel is about community it's about building friendships and spreading kindness in love to all our neighbors. If a new viewer comes along on an older video and comments and I don't reply to their comment ever they might be like well this guy's a dick and never subscribe or come back to the channel because I may not see that comment. It will all work out I will find a way to make sure I can keep doing what I do on the comments I appreciate your neighbor thank you. EDIT: I have the sniffles quite often, partly due to deviated septum, that with constant changes in the weather and allergies, i get very frustrated with the constant runny nose. It's like, blow my nose just yo blow my nose again in 30 sec

Very cool video. Im thinking of putting some time and work into my 15 year old MS361 up here in Alaska this winter. New crank seals, rebuild the carb, fuel line, deep clean it, etc. I wanted to see how to put new rings in it just in case. Keep up the good work! Ill look out for any 026's up here for you!
The MS361 is a really good saw! They are hard to find parts for sometimes and even finding a whole saw can be hard. Definitely worth rebuilding!!!! To put rings on it's pretty simple. I have videos if you're saying you've never done rings befour there's 4 bolts to take your cylinder off With a long reach T 27 then you remove The old rings by just opening them up at the gap with your thumbs and when you put the new ones on there's a locator pin in each of your 2 grooves and you need to make sure your ring is facing with the curve up so that it matches the locator pin and then you just very carefully use your thumbs to spread that ring open just enough to get on the piston. Next you want to make sure you get the bottom ring on first Being very careful not to let it slip into the top ring groove bc you risk breaking it trying to get it out and moving it to the bottom. Finally, you just put your top ring on, again curve facing up so it matches the locator pin when it's closed tight and that's it! My wasn't clear on what you were saying so anyways I hope I didn't write all this for nothing and I hope I didn't misunderstand what you were saying and offend you by Assuming you don't know what you're doing because that's not what I mean at all
Thanks - very helpful
You are most welcome neighbor!
Man i hate working on that series of saw
Ikr 😠😡🤬🤬🤬🤬
Shane on that nurse for doing this and being so rude and hateful to this man who was calm and respectful the entire time. This is NOT ok for a hospital to treat disabled people who have service and support animals. This is outrageous. This man needs to sue that hospital into oblivion. That hospital is outrageous and breaking the law. Who Is Protected Under the ADA? The ADA protects qualified individuals with disabilities. An individual with a disability is a person who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits major life activities; has a record of such an impairment; or is regarded as having such an impairment. Major life activities means functions such as caring for one's self, performing manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning and working. Under the ADA, a qualified individual with a disability is an individual with a disability who meets the essential eligibility requirements for receipt of services or participation in programs or activities. Whether a particular condition constitutes a disability within the meaning of the ADA requires a case-by-case determination. Physical or mental impairments include, but are not limited to: visual, speech, and hearing impairments; mental retardation, emotional illness, and specific learning disabilities; cerebral palsy; epilepsy; muscular dystrophy; multiple sclerosis; orthopedic conditions; cancer; heart disease; diabetes; and contagious and noncontagious diseases such as tuberculosis and HIV disease (whether symptomatic or asymptomatic). What Is Title II of the ADA? Title II of the ADA prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in all programs, activities, and services of public entities. Public entities include state and local governments and their departments and agencies. Title II applies to all activities, services and programs of a public entity. The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has been designated enforcement responsibility under Title II of the ADA for state and local health care and human service agencies.
This man started a GoFundMe on the suggestion of over 100 ppl in the comments who ALL said they would donate. Well I did as the viewers suggested and spent a full day going thru comments and giving those ppl the link. I got TWO donations and they came from my long time members. So it's been hard to hire legal representation as none of the lawyers who would actually consider the case so pro bono or whatever it's called where they only get paid if I get paid. Thanks for your comment neighbor!!!!
I assembled in the correct order but I don’t believe the notch on the clutch can get quite to the worm gear. It’s not able to engage it. Any ideas?
It could be that your worm gear arm has worn down. The ends of those with the constant ticking around in the groove of the sprocket they get worn out and become too short. That's what I would think i see it very often on stihl worm gears. Or your center of your worm gear has worn out and it's loose on the crankshaft; but you would probably be able to tell that pretty easy So I think that 1 could be eliminated you would have probably noticed that while you're working on the soil pretty easily but if it's not the arm that would be my next guess
Oh and I'm so sorry for the late reply RUclips changed how I can see my comments so it's hard to see them all now
I appreciate your character and integrity. I do have to say that the anger and reacting is not helpful. There is a technique of being the witness where one doesn't react, but witnesses what is so. then looking at possibilities and finally choosing a path based on your core values and principles. This method keeps one from reacting, getting angry, and possibly getting locked into binary choices. This way one is open to possibilities that may have been missed, tapping into a natural knowing. After all, the getting angry doesn't accomplish anything other than ruining one's health and well being. Anyway, I just rebuilt a MS250, but it only runs briefly and is very hard to start. I could use help in narrowing down the issue, maybe a flow chart approach to diagnostics. To boil it down, where to start? Leak test? Some kind of coil test? When does one assume carb? Note: I do have the shop manual and will check that for flowchart and procedures. I'll also watch more of your videos. Main Seals and Air Leaks: 1) I was broke and didn't have gasket sealer, so I used Aviation Form-a-gasket, a liquid that dries to a paste. I am wondering if I should just tear it back down and use the gray Permatex? 2) I re-used the main bearings as they seemed in good shape and I didn't have clam shell style bearing splitter. No question here. I did use new main seals. 3) I could look at a vacuum test, or a cylinder leak down test. Is this a good first step? Questions regarding piston, pins, and rings: 4) The piston did have some scoring. How does one determine the severity and whether a new piston is needed? How about wrist pin bearings? How to verify? Coil and Carb 5) Any easy way to determine coil health? Also, flywheel to coil clearance was different on each flywheel side, off by 0.004" maybe. Could this be the issue? Clearance is 0.011 to 0.015". 6) I rebuilt the stock carb. I also have a new Chinese carb as part of a parts kit. I could thro that on as a trouble shooting tool. I have a tachometer on the way for tuning. I put on new gaskets, fuel line and filter, impulse line, reused intake manifold (one on parts kit didn't have flat on one side nor the internal bumps). New clutch, main seals, gaskets, vent hose, intake boot and air filter. Thank you and do take care of your health. Anger is a racket (a persistent way of being with a complaint, a benefit, and a cost). You could look at Ken Wilbur "The Witness" or non-duality (good intro here batgap.com/ken-wilber/), or at some of the Zen Buddhism teachings for inner peace. Regards!
Well neighbor there is quite a bit there and I'd love to help you out!! This is one of those situations that it's almost like it would be better to contact me by phone or email because once you reply to my reply I may not know or be able to find it. RUclips has changed the way I'm able to see my comments. I can no longer see my comments based on I haven't responded yet as a filter, or replies without a reply is a filter so I could easily in the past Find my comments and replies. Now it is very difficult, but Here is my info I share it in many of my videos. 346-263-1077 email is smallengineredemption@gmail.com I live in Central standard time zone and anytime after 10 AM most days would be okay up until like 10 o'clock at night. But if you have the ability to do a vac/pressure test, yes do that. I have videos on how to do that on this model. Air leak is the first place I would go on what you're explainning simply bc if you eliminate that possibility then you know you likely have duel delivery issues. A SCORED PISTON TO ME IS JUNK!!! Some minir scratching or very minor scoring could be cleaned up a bit but new rings would be necessary. Also is there transfer on cylinder? The stuff you used in place of permatex or yamabond i know nothing about ao i cant speak on that i use honda bond bc its the cheaper yamabond IMO i started having lots of issues with the grey permatex so i have 7 tubes just hangibg there since i switched. I like the honda bond. Even if you rebuilt the carb there still could be some issues inner when you have a dirty carb all it takes is a speck That moves into one of your jets and clogs it up- I've ultrasonic cleaned carbs and all that debris in it sometimes as I said gets caught in bad places. THE REPAIR SPECIALIST on here does AMAZING videos on 2 stroke carbs just incredible the extent he goea to teaching the flow in differwnt styles, what you look for based on how your saws running, how to tune, and SO SO MUCH MORE! I encourage you to check him out! I'm not sure where you have your high and low settings at either. A big mistake I make on the 1127 models, which are a similar setup to these 1123 models, is I forget to attach my impulse hose and then I have the same issue you're explaining. If you don't hav vac pressure kit there's cheap ones for like $30-40 on ebay and Amazon. A place on these air likes to g3t out is intake boot. The white plastic shroud gets worn down so it doesn't hold the boot tight enough to the cylinder, also happens when rubber on boot is worn. I have vids showing how I put some gasket maker just around the inside of boot where it meets jug. Sorry my reply is not organized like yours but hope this helps use my pkaylist called 025/ms250 series I think it's called. I have a playlist designates solely to the 1123 series it's mostly 025/Ms250. I HAVE LOTS OF PARTS IF YOU NEED ANYTHING LEMME KNOW GIVE YOU A GOOD DEAL. I have meteor pistons and may have their cylinder kits too i gotta look I may have run out. Either way I have good oem used top ends also. And re using bearings I say if they were good ya leave em. You should DEFF REPLACE oil seals again if you take er apart (I'll donate some to you if you're in USA lower 48). Ok wow I could say much more but gotta hunt down rest of comments I haven't seen. THANK YOU FOR VIEWING and chit the other 5hing is ya anger is a really horrible demon to have. I have gotten way better. Sometimes I exaggerate a bit bc ppl find it funny when I get pissed lol. Thanks for your very detailed comment it was well organized so again sorry my reply is not!!
I cannot understand why none of these dumb bastards will not just pull out their freaking phone and look it up!!!!
I believe in using OEM replacement parts when repairing equipment when parts are available. Yes replace sparks plug with factory recommended spark plug.
If I used all OEM I'd lose money. Over the years I've learned, for the most part, which AM parts are good and which are not. Plus stihl has discontinued so many parts for older models so if fleabay doesn't have it it's AM or no fixed saw. I wish I could do oem on everything but there ARE some AM parts I will NEVER USE intake boots being one of them. Thanks for your comment neighbor!!!

What you think off the top end kits off Amazon the reviews were good ? Thanks.
You have to check how many reviews there are because people need to understand; a lot of people that sell online get fake reviews. You can actually buy them online so I only use meteor and in a pinch highway top ends or pistons. I sell meteor products, been using them 20 years will never change!!! hyway is not bad, but I have not used them enough to be able to back them like I can meteor.
If you’ve ever replaced a smartphone screen, you might have some great plastic poke/pry tools in a drawer somewhere.
That I have never done. I'm not even sure how. I have attempted in the past way long and failed and never try again. I have more tools now, including little pryers, picks etc. as I had started from zero 2 yrs ago. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment; subscribe and turn on notifications so you Don't miss any videos for Chainsaw and prize giveaways! Plus, it's not just chainsaws we fix on this channel, we do all kinds of stuff here.
Incredibly helpful. Thanks for the real world advice!
You are very welcome neighbor! Thanks For your awesome encouraging comment sorry it's taken so long to reply. RUclips changed how easy it was to pull up my comments and filter them By categories like new comments I haven't replied to or new replies to my replies I could filter it to see only that there's no longer a comments tab on my RUclips studio where I just get to handle comments. But now I can't, it's hard to find comments now. I have to check each individual video and I don't get notifications like I am supposed to. So the new RUclips studio setup is making it really hard for me to ensure I fulfill my promise that I make that I will respond to every comment on this channel unless I'm getting hundreds every day.
