hi, i am having the issue of not seeing my drive, and when i press control s, the only thing that pops up is VMD Controller. i cant seem to get anything to work, despite watching many videos, do you think you know what i can do? Thanks!
Thanks a bunch! Post installation, do i need to reset it back to third option?
I tried the control s and that worked but now I got to the part with the windows start up saying I have no drive to install windows. Does this mean that my internal drive is the issue?
Thanks. I was frustrated I couldn't boot off a fix-it drive stick.

I got the solution when you said boot with FAT32. Thanks maan!
I think, if you can't find solution in bios, try fat32 with gpt partition
What software did you use?
@@MgaBatangQuiapo rufus.
there is another solution. boot your pendrive match with your partition format. (NTFS and what is your format "
Should make sure that it is formatted in what format?

Thanks for the video! I've bought Acer Nitro 5 AN 515-57 laptop without OS, and no matter what I do bios doesn't detect bootable flash drive - there is only "Uefi Shell" option both in bios "boot" tab and boot menu. I have tried to disable Secure Boot, set Supervisor Password, enable Boot menu. I created a bootable flash drive using Media Creation Tool (Fat32 and NTFS) and using Windows ISO + Rufus. Nothing worked. Maybe it's because "Secure boot mode" in Bios in "Security" tab is set to "standart" mode (not "custom"), and I can't change it (it is gray). The option "erase all security boot settings" is also not available (gray). In some laptops you can activate SATA mode if you press Ctrl+S in the Main tab of Bios, but in my case it appears another option - "VMD Controller", which doesn't help. Please help me what should I do to make the flash drive visible in bios?
Please help how did you fix yours i have desame unit and problem
@@dagoyjp9722 Also the disk must have GPT format and FAT32 file system.

@@Ahtisham Try different drives to make a bootable drive. In my case it helped to make a bootable drive on ssd. Also make sure that your drive has GPT & fat32 format.

I have tried all ways through RUclips and acer discussions but nothing is helpful my laptop shows this everytime I on it but after many attempts like 20-30 bios settings changes like enabling disabling couple of things couple of time the laptop starts sometimes but after I shut it down after work this happens again when I open it again and it's been many months this is happening please sometime help me it would be real help.
Also I have tried lots of bios settings, I don't have legacy option, i have changed sata many time and I don't see hdd anytime in the UEFI mode, tried disabling the UEFI also by changing passwords, also. Tried F10 before acer logo and reset of the PC as well but nothing is working. I have tried opening laptop and checking the hdd proper connection and battery unplug and replug.

Bro I have Pressed Ctrl +S and hold but nothing showed Please help me brother 😢
I don't see SATA mode in the menu. What can I do?
Did you figure it out?
@@joshuawilson2386 I had to put the drive in another PC and make a new partition table. Open disk management and delete all partitions, then reformat as NTFS. That was literally the only way I could get it to boot. Kind of stupid and roundabout on Acer's part.
@@astraldelirium4122 Could you explain to me how I can do this?
@@guilhermebragatoalbanaz3in718 Open disk management and delete all partitions, then reformat as NTFS.
