My question is, if you have their Roboto font installed on your system, why can't you select Roboto for your default font? The skimpy choices they give you is a complete joke, frankly. Plus, the size difference between regular and large is kind of ridiculous. Why not let you select a specific font size LIKE ALL OTHER EMAIL CLIENTS DO? Good grief, why have Verdana and Tahoma (the kerned version of Verdana). It amazes me how Google doesn't give two flips about certain things, then spends all this time on other features that no one cares about.
These steps are not working for me. I followed the steps and hit save and then I write an email and the font I want is not selected?
eh steve nah sure if yuh noticed but yuh put "di" instead a "do" i believe its a title error brudda . great content as always ! blessins, rasta 😎
Thank you for this info. My question however, which I've posted in a large variety of wordings one Google, always leads to your video and similar. But unfortunately Google seems to totally ignore my question and lead me to the wrong solution. I very much want to change the default text style for INCOMING emails so i can read them. Often I get emails with microscopic text. The only way for me to be able to read them is copy and paste into a word processor where I can scale the text. A pain. If you have any tips on how to change the default text style for incoming Gmail messages I'd be most grateful. Thank you.
This is the default message creation font size. It doesn't apply to GMail overall, like in the Inbox when looking at all the messages.
Actually this doesn't solve my real problem that as soon as you cut and paste anything else into your mail, the default setting we have created disappears again and the pasted stuff takes over in both font and justification etc.
If I simply click on the font name again and what I have pasted is small, large, italic etc then this still overrides what I have made my default font.
This is SO irritating and Gmail really should stick to the font we have chosen as indeed any word processor and any other program I have used will do.
If you do any way to prevent this from happening I would love to know.
This DOES NOT do what I need or what it appears to offer. I wanted to make the text I see from others larger. I'm unable to see well and need to see the font larger.
Hi Steve, I like such short videos.
I am a subscriber of your channel and I like what you publish. But sometimes I wish your videos were a little shorter, although I know they are often long, because you want us to have all the necessary details.
About Gmail, there's one thing I wish I could do, but I don't think it's possible.
Do you have an idea to circumvent the impossibility? It’s about filters:
I can set filters to act on any incoming mail. But not on the messages I send.
Is there a way to run a filter on sent emails?
Can you give me an example of what you want to do with the sent email?
Thanks for the feedback, these short t videos are to complement our featured videos (longer ones) I am glad you like them.
How about the font size on the screen? I can hardly read the text. It just decreased to the smallest font like a -20 font
With only my iPad I don’t have the option of seeing the gear. :(
Hi Steve, Please can you help with this one - My default text style is set to San Serif - Normal size. When I send an email to a person with a microsoft exchange Outlook account, the received font is 12-point, which looks too large. If I change the gmail text style to Small, the recipient in Outlook receives a 9-point font. How do I get this to be 10-point received in Outlook ?
How to add Arial font to Gmail
Thank you for this video. I'm wondering, is it at all possible to change the actual font size by px or em? The large is too large and the small is too small!
I was looking for the option to add new fonts to Gmail. Thanks. Also, can you address the issue I have had for years. "Normal" size can seem a bit too small, often. However, ti gets worse when I try to use the Gmail app on my phone and create and/or respond to an email on my phone. I have NOT started or replied to emails on my phone because the font I end up getting on my phone, when I do this always seems to be tiny and the wrong font! Even when I update my default email font on my phone, it always seems to send using the wrong font! Please review and explain.
I wish we had more control over font size in gmail. I would rather chose the size by number and not just small, normal, large and huge. Maybe i am fussy but i find small and normal too small and large is too big.
I am there with you
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 Love the way you put the whole video. So funny and the way you speak is so amazing ... man... I am definitely following you
How do I change how the inbox font style looks? I get how to do it for composing an email that goes out but I'm sick and tired of seeing the same old stupid font on incoming mail.
Can you add google Web fonts to Gmail? The list of fonts is frustratingly small and why would they include comic sans and not other professional fonts?
The options are so limited. Yet on my iPad, I can choose from loads...
Super helpful...you have saved me from a lot of swearing 😂😂😂
Thanks a lot. From time to time I received feedback that my mails look super tiny even though I set the font size to "normal". A click on remove formatting in the settings solved the issue!
Hey Steve I couldn't find the format button on toolbar ??
Steve does this font setting affect the way I view emails from others, or the way others view my emails, or both?
I'm not Steve, but no, it doesn't.
