Tbh i really like the fight, especially with hammer. He can be really annoying tho like he was here. 15 minutes of the fight was him flying around.

I solo'd AT Kushala with both Gunlance and Hammer, what's the problem?
He's really not that bad, on release it was awful because the framerate tanked. Rise also has probably the most fun kushala to fight and probably the most unfun teostra fight.
World monsters are somewhat more agreeable and more enjoyable in terms of fights
Lunastra in world is a pain though I had to cheese her with my Safi LBG sticky build
It is a travesty that the Bullfango Hammer tree ends so early in FU
Rusted Kushala was the most enjoyable old-gen Kushala Daora, cuz he had additional terrestrial attacks which is a good thing
Then there is Rise Kusha who was a perfect mix between being terrestrial and having new cool aerial attacks without being frustrating
And Risen Kushala Daora just took this fight and made it even more satisfying. With so many new badass attacks. Personally, this is my favorite Kusha
Rise kushala is by far the best hes ever been but i still have PTSD of fighting world kushala with dualblades
@@maxwellxdhaha I was a LS main in MHW (now I’m more a CB main) but I would always use Hammer against Kushala Daora… or just avoid him outright
In Rise however; he’s good with every weapon I main (even the Risen version)
World really turns everything to shit, toestra world theme wasn't that good, and kushala's fight was aids.
@@nono-hy7gb Ah man, I hated Teo’s theme. Way too bombastic, lost that cool middle eastern flair, like Teo is the proud sultan of the desert you’re not allowed to stand in the presence of. Very happy with Rise’s version of the theme.
That said, world did have the best Rajang theme

That was me with Black Gravious and Basarios from Unite it seems like white bounced off them so I made a dedicated gun build for literally just those 2 monsters
Rise really made me think Kushala is loads easier. I played 4U and everything I knew about Kushala is gone. I literally had to make a charge blade just for dealing with Kushala lmao
4U Kushala was probably the beta test of something even worse -> World Kushala

I think of him as less easy but more just overall way more fun

@@Lator_Gator fax. people made this same argument about World Teostra too, but it’s like… the game isn’t all about masochism, sometimes it’s ok for a monster to be fun, even if they’re toned down a bit. plus, Risen Kush is way harder, while retaining what made Rise Kush fun.

Man, I just got to HR30 in Rise last night and I have to fight this jerk. Time to make sure I've got Windproof. I've gone back and played the first gen, second gen, and fourth gen games but haven't hunted Kushala in gen 2 or gen 4 yet. I've only hunted him in World and remember the hunt being very unfun.

I thought it was just world that made him unlikeable but when playing GU, not only was his stupid tornado spam everywhere, but they had gotten rid of the mechanic where breaking horns permanently got rid of auras. Like wtf why would they do that. And why did they change Teostra to blast??
I remember I was so obsessed with him cause of the armor to the point where I don't need a potion to kill him and remember 95% of his pattern (I'm LS User)
Those time was gone now but still good to remember those days

Tbh as a monster hunter vet who killed white fatalisit and black on Freedom 2 and unite on psp. World and Freedom 2 Kushla are the worst. Especially as a hammer main, but also who doesn't love this series. I want all the games again

Honestly, Kushala was my favorite elder dragon to go against, I was able to dodge pretty much everything from him most of the time
FU Kushala was really fun with a GS
I remember Rise Kushala to be quite enjoyable. Altough i stopped playing the game before Risen Kushala came out, so cant comment on that.
But what i remember is how horrible World Kushala was.
And AT Kushala is basicly just a crime against humanity.
I wouldn't even say normal World Kushala was really difficult or something. I would say Lunastra was more difficult.
But it was just sooooo annoying and also boring.
I grew to kinda like hardcore kushala daora, but I haven't seen it in G rank yet

Is plesioth dying when it's smoking his mouth I had so many retries with him he just won't die
No the smoke is just him being in rage. Just hit his legs and belly and play carefully, dont get too greedy. Using a thunder weapon should make him very easy.
Plesioth dorsal back fin and facial fin will lower when it is dying/captureable (hp below 25%)

Are these recorded from emulators? I have it on PSP but I've been struggling with the classic claw grip, and I kind of wanna try multiplayer tunneling...
Its on Emulator but I think the claw grip is unavoidable, its more Comfortable with a modern controller tho
Dude I'm so used to PSP claw grip i literally gave up on MHGU cause i find the switch controls unplayable

I put 1100 hours into unite and you guys are tripping the wind bs was extremely ridiculous in unite you needed dragon wind resist if you didn't want to he knocked down 13 thousand times in that fight

Love it or hate it; the reality is that before Rise, the hunts against Kushala represented just how annoying fighting a wind dragon would really be IRL
I don't get the Kushala hate, I like him over Teostra
If you fought him in the older games pre MHW....
There was no easy way to get windproof on any armor set from what I saw in Freedom Unite when I last played it. And if you don't have poison you will have to try and break his head. And the wind pressure denies that sometimes lol
@@dragumkirisute1998 That's why I always used poison weapon against him, or a long long weapon like GS to hit the eat with the tip of the sword without having to deal with the wind
