Great rundown, thanks guys. Really enjoy your chilled back and forth and honest take. Key takeaway from vids so far - spam Ridgehaulers = lose friends. Heavy flamers = don't do it... Cawdor next?
Passed this to my new Orlock player in our campaign. Mine are more seasoned, but good listening nonetheless. FYI a correction. 19:00 the Wrecker, their stats seem correct at a glance, but you have them titled 'Cyber Mastiff' at 100 credits and missed the + off their BS.
You can place the Promethium Barrels right in front of your opponents deployment zone and they're amazing, if you take several you're going to make people just ragequit.
Although 'Leadership' is useless on a ganger most of the time, it does help control a sentry rather than giving control over to your opponent. Having a 6+, on 2 dice, on a gunner is useful as a sentry.
I was hoping you'd touch on the Harpoon Launcher, since I think that's mostly Orlock exclusive and it seems like it has potential for shenanigans. Enjoyed the episode though! Looking forward to your Delaque one, although at this point it seems traditional that they come in last.
Cool overview as always :) Have you considered/heard of the combo of 'Lucky' (Big name) on a champ with Treadneedle-worm Grenade to threaten everyone on the table (preferably in a big Multi-player battle)? You could consider it 'another Money-making mechanic/trick' they have access to (considering all the bribes from other gangs 'not to nuke the table' with needle worms). Keep up the good work and cheers! :)
Great video! Waiting for Cawdor :) By the way where does it say for Wreckers to add unstable to template and grenade weapons? Coudn't find it anywhere (including description of jump booster)
Love this series. Orlocks are the second love after Nomads.. (guess which box I started with!) Think sawn off gets a bad rep.. It's a good way of having a high threat on a cheap guy, especially in ZM.
I also used to think that the edged rifle was weak because of its range. Almost no one uses it. I wondered if this weapon should get a Sidearm trait to encourage people to buy it a bit. After a few games with the Outcast gang where I had two of these weapons in scum for close range combat I changed my mind a bit about this weapon. Remember that this weapon has a power of 3 and scatter, that is, and 1S better than in a regular shotgun. With one such shot I was knocking down even the opponent's champs because they were getting 3-5 shots with S3. Hardly anyone survives something like that. In an area where you can easily approach at close range this weapon is really scary. I'm still wondering if it should have a melee trait but I don't know if that would be too much because it's an extra few hits from the S3 in close combat.
Wreckers are even more busted once they promote and keep their equipment. They can (and have for me personally) outshine a late game Road Captain easily.
It's never been confirmed whether it's a mistake or not. We play it as a mistake, because it'd be odd for those Juves to not be able to get skills in our opinion.
Sorry for coming in over a month late, but this deep dive isn’t in the Necromunda playlists. Might not be worth fixing, but still thought I’d point that out.
I'd steer new players away from Orlock. The lack of overwatch leaves them vulnerable to alpha strike, which is demoralising. (Bottom + top triple activation bolter Goliath; Spring up grenade launcher/plasma matriarch; infiltrate/hip shooter webgun; grenade bouquet flash etc) Still, it's hard to go wrong with a faction that can take boltguns on its basic gangers.
My least favorite faction. I think they're aesthetic is kinda uninspired and bland. Having said that, you've made me at least appreciate what they are capable of
since stumbling upon you guys ive shelved my 40k and gone full necromunda been loving these vids keep it up guys

Cawdor next?
Cawdor is actually next, yes! Hopefully next week!

"Its thematic for Orlock," the rest of that sentences may as well not have existed, i tend to play super fluffy even if it means losing every game.

I love you guys, been waiting for this one, Orlocks for life, shotguns and bikes and booze is the motif
Thanks for covering these guys. Me and a buddy are starting soon with a Goliath vs. Orlocks gang campaign. But could you please do Cawdor next 🙏😃

They did mention it with the Lugger. In short it's not great.

That's the auto win button that'll make everyone quit playing ;)
O Yeah! Miniatures Rundown! Can't wait for cawdor to be in action.
Great video! Waiting for Cawdor :)

Best necromunda faction focus videos in youtube! I really wish you could do Enforcers next!
Delaque will be next to finish out the main six houses, but Enforcers will be next after that!
For the sevitor I used these servitor from the ad mech combat patrol box. This is where I get the rougue doc and heritek. Plus robot arms!!!

Iron stare is chef's kiss on the leader with a servo claw. Imagine looking so tough and mean that people just rather don't shoot you at all 😎
Keep up the great work! Question: where has it been FAQ that Orlock prospects keep their jet pack when promoting
So the FAQ wasn't specific to Orlocks but all prospects - this also applies to Van Saar and their hoverboards, etc.
Hail all
Hail!

Am I going to get an ash wasters breakdown for ashmass?
FYI: only the leader has acces to Savant skill as a primary; champions and wreckers only have it as a secondary :(
I'd like to see Outcasts as I am about to use them in the next campaign (after Delaque and Cawdor).
Cawdor next please gentlemen, the chosen warriors of the Emperor demand it!
House of Shadow!
Please do Cawdor I want to see how all thier crazy stuff matches up
You'll be happy here shortly...
Wreckers are even more busted once they promote and keep their equipment. They can (and have for me personally) outshine a late game Road Captain easily.
House of Iron says that Greenhorns can’t get skills, despite having primary and secondary skill options. Is this a mistake?
It's never been confirmed whether it's a mistake or not. We play it as a mistake, because it'd be odd for those Juves to not be able to get skills in our opinion.
Addition: It has been FAQ'd, they do get skills!
Solid slug weapons rather than laser weapons.

Thanks for the heads up! We've added it.
They are the Bruce Springsteen gang. 😂
I think the word you are looking for is resilience, not toughness.
Can you please leave the table and graphics up for as long as you are talking about the model. It really helps those who need visual assistance.
I'll try to be better with that. I hadn't really considered that! - Editor Coty
