Summer's End (John Prine cover)

Here is my cover of the John Prine classic. Like Sierra Hull, I wanted to try some different instrumentation. For this one I used my bouzouki and my upright bass. Vocals and bouzouki were recorded simaltaneously in one take and the bass was added after (one take).
This song was on Prine's The Tree of Forgiveness, the eighteenth and final studio album by the American country folk singer. The album was released on April 13, 2018. It is the last album released by Prine before his death on April 7, 2020.
