The Orville is far more Star Trek than Discovery could ever be.
I love Discovery and the revival shows like Picard, but Orville really really really hits the Star Trek beats better than the new shows are. Not to say that the new shows are unenjoyable as sci-fi, they just lack that intrinsic trek spirit
And Discard, Lower Drecks, Prodigy and now the awful Strange New Wokes.

It's entire overarching raison d'etre is "woke". You completely miss the point of it. I guess it's a good thing you don't like these series, that means they're actually good and in the spirit of Trek.
This battle was awesome.
I wanna imagine since Primary is not capable of processing the emotions of Rage and Disgust in his own binary way likely went all the way back to Kaylon and said "Eatth can wait. Im gonna turn Krill into a parking lot."
My only vomplaint is I'm genuinely surprised the Krill didn't just nuke Earth while they were at it.
Because 😢, the poor stupid brainless director feel that it is wrong to finish off mother Earth!! After all, where will this stupid brainless person live if Earth is destroyed!! Hahaha, hohoho 😅😂
Probably too weak after the battle to do any meaningful damage, at least until the rest of the Union or Moclan fleet arrives.
Probably because the krill thought being united with earth against kaylon was the work of their god
Also might br honour of war kind of thing they worked together for one battle not really worthy to knock down someone while weak

You know, if all these projectiles are lasers, you'd think a ship made of a surrounding hull of one way mirrors reinforced with energy fields specifically for defending against any attacks with physical mass and letting energy/light thru would probably make any ship 99% invulnerable to any non-super-specific attacks
Why are Earth ships in any Sifi move or show have the weakest spaceships
We're a weak species and we're barely able to go to the moon now so we'd likely be behind technologically. It's a theory.
Well in Star Trek we are one of three main superpowers in this part of the galaxy. So it is not always true. In Babylon 5 Earth was in the middle of nowhere so we weren’t visited by other powers and didn’t get the leg up that the Centari had.

Narratively there is no sense of excitement in being all-powerful. How do you build drama and suspense if your fleet is considered a titan in the universe? Anybody who looks at you funny or doesn't adhere to a human based code of ethics would get nuked. The inevitable conclusion is humanity would eventually colonize all of space and, well, that's boring.

Imperial Class Star Destroyers would have an easier time with shields and turbo lasers including their fighter compliments plus they are massive ships and with a Starfleet far larger over 25 thousand Star destroyers plus hundreds of thousands or millions of support ships

Having watched a load of these clips, I’m confused as to who is the enemy: the Krill or the Kaylon? Some videos have the former as the Union’s enemy, others the latter.
Both were but then later the Kaylon allied with the Union against the Krill and Mocclans

You might be watching clips from different seasons.
Krill had always been an enemy with the Union but assisted them in this occasion.
The Kaylon was also an enemy to the Union until the Union developed the Kaylon destroying weapon.
The Kaylon then assisted the Union to retrieve the weapon when the Union lost it to the Moclans and Krill.
@@Saicofake after Krill assisted the Union, they kinda started to connect at first which helped to kickstart positive relationship with Kaylon. Krill is like your temporal lover needed only to connect back with your original one. Kicked after the goal is reached.

That PU fleet formation is ATROCIOUS. It's less "fleet engagement" and more "we're like space gunships, dogfighting in space!", not to mention really considering a self-destruct so close to a planetary body. That they lost a ship because it crashed on another speaks for itself; who wrote this screenplay??
Self distruction near Earth might destroys a little bit of the planet. But if you don't self distruct there, then they won't be any planet left.

That was actually their plan, the Kaylon are completely logic oriented. The hold efficiency above all… therefore it’s more logical to fire on a sloppily positioned ship rather than a planet as firing in the ship removes a variable that could be problematic. They’re bait
I , THE STUPID BRAINLESS DRUGGIE DIRECTOR OF THIS SERIES, WHO WAS SO SOOOOOO HIGH ON DRUGS AND THEREFORE FLYING LIKE A KITE, THAT I 😂😅 MADE THIS POOR STUPID BRAINLESS HERO CRASH HIS OWN SPACESHIP TO AN ONCOMING SPACESHIP, EVEN THOUGH HE HAD ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE AN * O* MOUTH EXPRESSION AND HIS OWN STUPID BRAINLESS DRUGGIE IDIOT HELSMAN SAY THAT " OOOO, LOOK,A DAMAGED FRIENDLY SPACESHIP IS COMING TO CRASH INTO US" , and his own reaction is to speed up his own spaceship, so that the damage is the maximum possible!! Seeing as we don't know what space battles will be like we have no idea how far off the mark this is and no whatever sci fi show you are thinking of probably isn't correct either more so if it's working on the assumption of super long range combat that is probably the least likely occurrence

They cannot even avoid a collision with another spaceship, when they could easily see it coming, and yet they are the best!???? My GOD,WTF happened!??
You try avoiding an incoming ship while others are at your flank and your evasion could endanger them as well.
Scene 0.14, they can easily dodge the laser beams or missile or ray or WTF it is, of the enemies, and yet a few minutes later,they can't dodge a friendly spaceship hit by the enemy fire!! WTF is happening????!

It's already been explained. Evading weapons fire when you are not flanked by friendly vessels is rather easy. But when you are in formation? Dodging something becomes a lot more dangerous not just for you but for every single other ship in that formation.
Evading just enough to take a slight collision was most likely the best they could do to avoid endangering their formation.
