    Not a mention of Zaire Franklin and EJ speed, tackling machines and playmakers for Indy’s Defense, I seriously think after one more year you could put Indy’s front seven in the top 3 if not best in the league

      #5 in sacks, #10 in rush average last year. The whole industry just glosses over the Colts. Houston/Indy/Jags/Titans

  • @YepNah
    @YepNah 2 месяца назад +8

    I'm a Texans fan who would give Indy the #1 spot in the AFC South. That said they're a really tough group of teams to try to rank.

    • @smoothkid765
      @smoothkid765 2 месяца назад +1

      Don' be surprised that the Jags rank high in all of the AFCS conversations here but perform quite poorly in real life. Colts fan here thinking that the Texans are going to be great up front. They were good already last year and you added a premiere rusher. your sack totals will go up and your run average will stay similar. Same should happen for the Colts, theoretically, and if they double Buck, now they have to deal with Latu. Either way there's little chance the Jags are the class of the AFC S in 2024.

    • @BrennonOne
      @BrennonOne 2 месяца назад +1

      Colts may have the potential, but no way is their front 7 better or more proven currently than Jax or Houston

    • @YepNah
      @YepNah 2 месяца назад +2

      @@BrennonOne The only one who is unproven is Latu. We already know how good Buckner is and Paye, Grover, and Ebukam are really good as well. Latu was my favourite edge in the class and I think he's going to be excellent.

      @@smoothkid765 My underrated additions for the Texans are Autry and Edwards jr. They could potentially help wreak havoc with what Demeco likes to do on defense with all the stunts and twists.

      Colts-Texans-Jag-Titans
      I gave the Colts the edge because of their depth at D line. The Texans added two players that Bucky likes from the Titans but still put them ahead of the Colts? Nope. Jags have good rushers and Armstead is a solid DT but a bit over rated IMO. Not to mention neither talked about Franklin & Speed being one of the best LB tandems in the league and we added DT Davis from Miami. The Colts are going to rotate 8-9 guys on the D line and wear some teams out this year.

    colts were 5th in league in sacks last year followed by HOU 14th TEN 17th JAX 25th then we went and got who most said the best defensive player in the draft…they put colts basically last in both of their rankings 🤣😂 wtf are they talking about

  • @smoothkid765
    @smoothkid765 2 месяца назад +1

    Sadly the league is not sleeping on the Colts front 7 like y'all are, but either way the C's front 7 is gonna eat. I get we're not #1 in the division but the Buckner/Stewart combination might be the best 3tech/nose combo in the league. We got the best, most polished pass rusher in the draft. Everybody's coming back and we were already #5 in sacks last year with 51. The only other AFCS team to end up in the top 15 was Houston, and they were #14. The Jags had a meager 40 sacks last year. You think they're going to improve so much more than these other teams' '23 stats to make them tops in the Div? The Colts and Texans would have to seriously regress and both units got better since last year, too. Not to mention rush avg (#10) or our stud LBs. Who's better than Franklin and Speed in the South? This division is going to finish the same as last year. But no one every gives the Colts their flowers, so why am I surprised. Especially with a Jags employee on the mic. Never get a fair shake.

      Bucky isn't a bad analyst, just badly biased against AFC S. Really dislikes the Colts. And since I'm a fan of the team he truly and obviously has bias against, it makes it hard to feel like I'm getting good and complete analysis. Makes me bias against him .

    It is disrespectful to put the Ravens 3rd after finishing first in points, sacks, and takeaways. It's not all smoke mirrors and scheme. Oweh, Van Noy, Jones, Peirce and Urban are all winning thier 1 on 1 matches at high rates. Madubuike led the league in sacks from his position and Ro is 1st team all pro. They're simply better at doing the jobs of stopping the run and winning the reps than anyone else in the league. There is no magical scheme for playing run defense successfully with a light box. They defeat the combination blocks and make the plays consistently. That has to be understood by you guys.

      Ravens lost too much and the other units are too good not to put them third.

    • @jeremiahw1369
      @jeremiahw1369 2 месяца назад

      @BoomorBust I really feel like what they lost is being overly emphasized. PQ was good, but they decided not to pick up his 5th year option and drafted his replacement last year. Clowney got the minimum salary. He had his best season since whenever, but he was a late camp addition, not a key starter initially. Stone was a 7th-round pick and backup. The DC was just the DC at Michigan 3 years ago. It's not like he was lights out all 2 years either. Imo Snead, as an all pro corner, is a bigger loss than all of the Ravens free agents combined based on supply and demand dynamics.

    • @BoomorBust
      @BoomorBust 2 месяца назад +1

      @jeremiahw1369 But they are talking about front 7, the corner doesn't come into play. Changing the defensive staff is massive, there is no other way to cut it. Great units, especially defensive, is largely how well organized they are. Especially blitzing schemes.

    • @jeremiahw1369
      @jeremiahw1369 2 месяца назад

      @BoomorBust Fair point. I thought this was about the final ranking episode.
      Just front 7, they lost Clowney and PQ, so that is a lot, but like I said, they were not the top guys on the unit or making much money.

    • @samsonlite3334
      @samsonlite3334 2 месяца назад

      @@BoomorBustcoaching didn’t factor into this. It’s the front 7. Ravens are 1st followed by Cleveland and then the Steelers. Cam is 36 and in a contract dispute. Watt is Watt but PQ is not the upgrade they think.
