The 65. A route I travelled on a lot as a kid in 1993/1994. I remember Armchairs orange Leyland Olympians, they even had the odd Leyland Atlantean on - quite rare for a London bus route. Went back on the 65 in 2014 as an adult the childhood nostalgia hit me again.

It can’t be a metroline plaxton president vp, tp, tpl, or vpl from 2011 but it could be that one, or it could be anything like an arriva gemini 1 or even a first london gemini 1 to plaxton president, maybe even anything. Let’s find out/
A special running day (free service with heritage buses) was run in April 2021 on the 65 and another one will run on the 65 and 71 in June this year, so this is interesting to see the difference in landscape!
