Brings back memories of a ride I had on the 65 around this time when there were many types of buses to be seen on that route alone 🙂

I was thinking what it would be like from the top deck of a metro in the last few days, realising I rode on the lower decks 22 years ago to hear the motor and gearbox in them in my May 99 visit.
    RUclips reads my mind again.
I enjoyed the street scenes and hearing the drone of the bus in the background. Sad I can never experience this for real again.

Didn't realize how many London United Metrobuses were still in pre- privatization livery in 1998 I know they took delivery of at least 2 ex Capital City Metrobuses around 1999, they were painted into the old livery for some reason. Some of the Hounslow based vehicles retained the old livery beyond the turn of the millennium is this one of them?

When did the R68 stop being double decker?

They only ran them as DD only on Summer Sundays till October 1999.
