100% exactly true. This guy is an enigma wrapped in a hypothesis of straining exegesis. With regard to what he said … almost too ludicrous to address but let’s just say… “how” any single of us “relates” to another will dictate THAT persons personal experience and overall relationship.

If 4 friends independently wrote biographies of you when all of them were with you at your most important life moments, you shouldn't expect to see that 3 of these biographies to share the exact same word for word parables about you, while the remaining one just tells a completely different story about what you did and said during your lifetime

The four canonical Gospels that are in the Bible as we have it in the 21st century did NOT exist in the 1st or 2nd century. The Gospels were written decades after the supposed events that happened before, during, and after the life of the historical figure of Jesus, not Jesus “The Christ” as he is portrayed by the Synoptic Gospels. The names “Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John” were given as titles years later after the individual Gospels had been in circulation amongst the earliest churches. The Gospels are anonymous, and are written in the third person, without ever identifying any specific authors. Go study the serious scholarship on this, and stop listening to Christian apologists. 👍🏼

I like this guy however, his presupposition here is incorrect. There is one Jesus presented throughout the Gospel accounts in different ways. Each has a different goal in showing a different aspect of the man. It is still the same man they are speaking of. If it isn't, there is no Gospel and no New Testament, no Christianity. I have no problem with this because Christianity shouldn't exist. The fact it exists is mainly due to government power plays, misunderstandings of the Old Testament over time and Paul breeding an alternate faith suggested by Jesus but not entirely fleshed out. Whether we can know if Paul would be accepted by Jesus is an unknowable quantity.

I'm not going to mock and belittle you like many have done here. I have never met you and don't know you personally. I have no idea what you were brought up to believe. However, a lie the enemy passes off as truth that then gets repeated for generations is still a lie.
Going to share some passages here that show there is only one Messiah-Jesus:
Matthew 26:17-20 Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
Matthew is describing his memory of the last Passover/feast of unleavened bread that He will eat with His disciples before he gets betrayed by Judas and denied by Peter three times before the cock crows as described later in the chapter.
Mark 14:12-17 And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
Now Mark is describing his memory of the same last Passover/Feast of unleavened bread that He will eat with His same twelve disciples before he gets betrayed by Judas and denied by Peter three times before the cock crows as described later in the chapter.
Luke 22:7-14 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
Now Luke is describing his memory of the same event: the last Passover/Feast of unleavened bread that He will eat with His same twelve disciples before He gets betrayed by Judas and denied by Peter three times before the cock crows as described later in the chapter.
John 13:1-4 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
    And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
    Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
This is John's memory of the same event: the last Passover/Feast of unleavened bread that He will eat with His same twelve disciples before He gets betrayed by Judas and denied by Peter three times before the cock crows as described later in the chapter.
Do you ever reminisce with friends/family about a specific event? Don't you each remember something about the event that the rest may have not brought up before?

Major problem with your claim: Luke was a follower of Paul (allegedly) and was not at the Last Supper…
Mark was not there either, so any memory either one would write about would be the second hand (at best) of someone else.
Dr McClellan is a biblical scholar who has studied the Bible and the historical context that it was written in.
Each gospel has a different agenda, and at times they contradict each other in effort to prove their point as the one to follow.
They were not written with the intention of being collected into a single book, they were each written to stand alone.

Isaiah 53:2-12 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

He's not saying the gospels literally thought there were three different people called Jesus.
Consider it from a historical stance, before the Bible, when the gospels were being written each one was written in a different period. (They weren't all written in the same generation). For each generation the focus point of Jesus in each gospel was different. Jesus and what he highlights is a little different in each gospel, yes there's some overlap, but not as much as you'd think.
The best way to explain this is follows:
If you separated to each gospel and gave one each to an isolate inhabited island that never heard of the Bible or Christianity and gave Mark, Matthew, Luke, John each to a different isolated human population, they cannot contact eachother.
After coming back 200 years later you're gonna have 4 very different version of Christianity with 4 different versions of Jesus. Matthew and Luke might have the most in common. But isolated Mark and John would be wildly different.
The island given Mark (the earliest written) would likely just think Jesus was a holy person, Matthew would probably think he's a prophet, the one given John would think Jesus is the son of God and has God powers.
One island wouldn't even know Jesus was born of a virgin. One would think he was born in a stable and another would think he was born in a house.
One would think his last words on the cross were one thing and two anothers would think it's something else.
Jesus's last words are 3 different things depending what gospel you read.
And this is just narrative stuff, we haven't gotten to the diverging (not saying contradictory) messages of each gospel and what each population would learn and apply out of it.
This is what he means by different Jesuses.
When isolated, at least 2 of the gospels would become different religions.

He is risking getting kicked out, which would be really bad considering he’s discussed how important it is to him.
He takes an academic approach, which strives to be unbiased and is more informed about the consensus of scholarship than most Christians. A scholarship, by the way largely populated by christians. So he’s hardly going against the grain in describing what the consensus of Christian scholars is. He takes people to task for their incorrect readings of the text, but he doesn’t use pop psychology terms like “projecting.” Assuming you know where others are coming from is not acceptable behavior. He is constantly talking about how the best way to understand the text is to figure out what the writer was trying to say within their time and place, which you would likely agree with about most other books.
