Cartier watches need more love. Very unrated. Classic and iconic design that never age. His piece is very nice. Great buy. Btw, I enjoy watching your videos. One reason is because you pronounce the watch brands properly.
I’m a huge fan of the Reverso AND the Cartier tank...although the JLC certainly has a better movement, the Cartier is still the better choice, I think. More gold, i.e., heavier case and bracelet (on 18K bracelet models) and absolutely more beautiful design. The tank and its Roman dial are essentially as timeless and classic as it gets!
Great review! I picked up a Tank Americaine myself today. Not this awesome piece specifically but nevertheless a model in stainless steel and medium size. Its design is just so sleek and elegant, really timeless and something that won't go out of fashion any time soon. Much smaller than I am used to but when I took a first look at it a few weeks ago I completely fell in love with it.
I’ve been considering a JOC Reverso triple calendar tribute but….it seems to have a very delicate movement which needs servicing every two years. I think this Americaine in rose gold with the chronograph complication is a better choice!
Please make more of these videos. The Tank Americaine is a work of art. It likely has a Piaget movement (430 MC or maybe 9P2) rather than a Frederic Piguet.
I’m deeply ashamed. It is indeed manual wind. Up to this day I hadn’t really worn it more than a day and would only wind it about 10-15 turns. it a bit more, it did stop after about 25-30 turns so likely around 36-40 hours of power reserve I guess. I got the automatic from Amsterdam Vintage which is the only place on the web where I found this model advertised.
@@UptickWatchReviews Merci beaucoup mon ami, I had the right idea after all. By the way, I really liked your recent videos about the Zenith Chronomasters.
great dress watch! be careful to not follow the path of Archie and buy too many dress watches, even though you are not in danger of running into that situation any time soon
I prefer this to the reverso. Classy and elegant.
I just picked up a steel model, love it. The white gold you have is awesome.

These are great alternatives to reverso if you like the case shape. Americaine line needs more love
Nice addition. Always one of my favorites.
Ça fait plaisir de découvrir une vrai chaîne de connaisseurs et en plus je comprends facilement l anglais avec l accent français 😉
Merci Nico!
Gorgeous watch!

Such a beautiful Reference. Enjoy!
I love this watch. Is it no longer made in steel for 2022?
Sweet looking watch.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing it.
🎉Wickedly awesome!!! ❤😊🤩 👏 😎
Congrats great style
Very nice
Is that a 36mm explorer that you are showing to compare the size?

Thanks for watching. Those two calibers are manual wind so wouldn’t fit this model.
@@ernievid it’s manual wind, if it were automatic it would say ‘automatique’ on the caseback instead of ‘mechanique’.

You were correct on the 9P2, or however Cartier referenced it, Phillips just auctioned one and mentioned this caliber
How can you set the time precisely without a seconds hand?
Do you live your life to the second?
great dress watch! be careful to not follow the path of Archie and buy too many dress watches, even though you are not in danger of running into that situation any time soon
How are you supposed to change the strap on this one ? using the screws on the side ? Can you do it yourself ?
You need a tiny screwdriver and nerves of steel. You can do it yourself but if you’re as clumsy as I am, think twice.
@@UptickWatchReviews sounds quite wise indeed to ask your watchmaker to do so, especially for gold. Thanks !
Just curious, what size is your watch?
I wanted to ask, what is the strap width on these?
It’s 18mm. Pretty straight all over. The strap I have here is 17mm at the pointy end.
I think the 1735 and the 1736 have Piaget movements
You're correct. One just auctioned recently and they reference a manual wind Piaget 9P2 if I'm not mistaken
@@UptickWatchReviews yep i got that watch
Anyone have the reference number on this beautiful model?
1736
It's a good addition. A bit girly but you may be able to get away with it ;-)
I only wear it when I have a dress on of course ;-)
UptickWatchReviews lol nah it's a cool piece man
Ain’t nothing girly about that tank!
:)
