I got my Cartier tank for my 21st birthday from my parents. I get tired of most design and am very susceptible to wanting something new, but 5 years later I still wear the watch every day and am still in awe of the simplicity and elegance of the design. It’s solid, it’s sexy and it communicates to the world that you appreciate good design. It also strikes a delicate balance of being a status symbol without being ostentatious or showy
I could watch these types of videos-the history of style and fashion design, presented by you-for hours! I think a streaming platform should jump on this idea and produce an awesome, in-depth show with you as the host. ❤
I have watched hours of videos re the Cartier Tank-some of them are Ok, some really good, one or two excellent; but yours just made first chair. The way you effortlessly shared Tank information along with stories of people, places and things related to the Tank, helped me better understand "the why" regarding this special piece.
I recently got mine instead of an engagement ring! Had been lusting over it for a decade! Love the history lesson! Would love a video on engagement rings as well. It seems like I’m North America the blingier the better, but in Europe normally they’re very subtle. My moms was a band with a stone smaller than the band width.
I like how Kate articulates fashion. She makes fashion serious and seem more like an intellectual endeavour especially to those who regard it as "frivolous"
I did not want this video to end! Somethings so visually interesting About tear sheets on the wall I love how a diverse group of people loved this! I love how this watch looks like an heirloom and I hope to buy it for myself one day. Nothing like the precious gift of time ❤️
So glad the show is back! I missed it and love how knowledgeable you are about all things fashion. Thank you for the Cartier history lesson, can’t wait to have my own my Cartier watch one day ❤️
I haven't a clue who Kate Young is but stumbled upon this and loved it.. I have no doubt that she is a very experienced stylist judging by the video because her knowledge shines so bright.
So glad you're back! I wear one of my two Cartier watches every single day; one from my 16th birthday and one from...um...a later birthday. For future episodes, *please* include clothing credits!
I missed you Kate!! I always look forward to learning something new from your videos, you put so much effort into them and you are such a professional.
You bring the substance and personal passion that I crave from fashion-related videos, yet rarely (if ever) encounter...your perspective is respectfully informed by history--yet refreshingly of-the-moment. It'd be so wonderful if you made a longer/more in-depth film on whatever most inspires you...for me, as a viewer (and fellow fashion head), the subject of any given video is secondary to your palpable enthusiasm for beautiful design in general. Read us the phone book, as they say (and given that I recently saw a 1970s-era New York phone book with a cover designed by Peter Max, you can't tell me that ain't fashion 🙃). Either way, welcome back, and please do keep makin' these! 🖤🕊💫
Thanks Kate, great to have you back. It’s so hard not to be infected by your enthusiasm for beautiful creations and your impeccable taste. And you are just so lovely. Not at all intimidating despite your incredible knowledge
Thank you for this, it felt like a documentary on Cartier; informative and inspiring. I especially love how understated cool you look, and to admit you bought the watch on the real real, I mean.. I fell in love you again.
I also love how they don't attract scary ppl coz its not flashy, I basically fight for my life everytime I go out with something blingy. But don't get it twisted boo!!! its mf Cartier
Great video. Like what you said about what importance objects have, as sometimes people assume it is superficial to like beautiful things, but this video for me encapsulates why that is not the case.
Ever since my first copy of Vogue and seeing a Cartier Tank in the pages - I have been in love with them. Always on the lookout for a vintage one to add to my collection. Really enjoyed this Kate 💚
So happy you are back. I bought my first cartier earrings and bracelet last month, so happy with my purchases. Simply beautiful. I don't wearxatches, but I do appreciate the beauty of cartier watches.
I really love your videos🥰 ,short and efficient. I think it is so intresting to know the history behind the luxuary items that I have or that I'm willing to buy !! People don't understand that when you buy a luxuary item like cartier , you are buying history, a story , a peace of art , a perfection! Cartier is more than a watch!!
Your this video popped up on our YT app feed, I waited it. I like the knowledge u told abt the brand/ history. Your voice is soothing, the pace is delightful, and I started to watch all of your videos one by one. I just subscribed to your channel. Thank u for all the contents. Have a wonderful Monday. ❤❤❤
Love the video as always! Kinda makes sense that pearls were wroth more than diamonds back in the day, before De Beers artificially gouged diamond supplies and created the most successful marketing campaign for diamonds of all time!
I Called to Moran to sell my diamond engagement ring, as well as keeping that stated, he was a honest and also simple professional! He was informative and client with me and also has a wide range of expertise, that offered me comfort without any kind of pushy sales tactics. Generally, I had an outstanding experience from the minute he got the phone to schedule me a same-day appt., to arriving in his neat, clean, and also safe office, to sell my diamond ring. Quick, easy, and also efficient! Hands down a positive experience as well as smooth procedure with a really realistic individual!
It is soo soo good to have you back. Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge about Cartier, it is my favorite brand. My dad used to wear it when I was a little girl and it is very sentimental to me. I am looking forward to learn more from you. xo
Thank you for these amazing videos. I was intrigued by your watch, because it is even more gorgeous than the rest and because it is different from all other tanks I encountered: the hands have a more “Art Deco” shape and the Cartier inscriptions are more minimal. It appears that Bueche Girod designed similar watches with similar hands, but I cannot discover what the relation to Cartier was (collaboration, merger or copying). Anyhow, it’s a “timeless” piece! I would love an episode on Chanel jackets and on where to find the perfect suit (I want a three piece, slightly seventies inspired, high waisted and wide legged, with a waistcoat, version, but am still searching). I am looking forward to the next episode!
Happy to see new episode! I love your passion when you talk about fashion and particular pieces! I can’t afford Cartier but it was interesting to learn about it’s history and some interesting facts. Waiting for more episodes!
You’re back! Yaaay! Great video as always, I had no idea about this Cartier watch haha. I hope you do a video on the latest awards/ premieres you styled clients for. I’m curious for the details and back stories on them :)
Great to have you back, Kate 😍 Loved this insight into Cartier! I’ve always wanted a watch - hopefully one day! 🤞🏻 I do love the Juste en Clou pieces too ❤️
I am not into watches, but this video is so interesting! Made my day! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much for sharing! 🥰🥰🥰 Could you please share in one of your videos what do you think of floral print in clothes? Where it can be acceptable, are there any rules on how floral print can be combined with other colors and patterns? Thank you!
Welcome back!!!

We missed you!

One of the best videos I've seen about Cartier on this channel.

Now I want a Cartier!! such a great video. Thanks
I was just looking up vintage Tank Francaise watches this morning. I’m going to take this as a sign to invest in one haha.

Very happy to see one of your videos again, I loved all the watches, my favorite was Louis Cartier's because of its resemblance to the tank🤩❤️
