About to undertake a headgasket replacement on my 528i (m52) so these videos are a great help.
I don't see one on your channel, any suggestions for draining the engine block? last time I did it, coolant went everywhere because it drains right onto the exhaust.
Does that victor head gasket have any kind of teflon coating on it. If not do you use some kind of gasket sealer on it
Is it really expensive to change a head gasket on a e39 540i?
Is VR OEM or does BMW produce it self ? thanks
Did the victor reinz have to bulges from the middle towards the righter side ?
hi nathan, i had combustion gases enter coolant system. i put in a victor reinz head gasket and after a short time i'm getting combustion gases in coolant again.
i'm pretty sure i did everything right, have you had any similar problems with victor reinz head gasket?
did you find solution for that?

I'm using a German Elring head gasket on my 2002 BMW 520i.
Did you know that the Chinese are also producing fake gaskets under the Victor Reinz and Elring brand ? Tell me, do you know much about the Bimmer auto transmissions ?
There's 2 different ones +.5 mm thickness And original thickness

Why don't auto mfgs.used fixed head engines? No gasket, no problems.

Instead of repairing head or gasket...the repair would be to replace entire engine...if you are thinking no need evdr fir head gasket repair...if you needed to replace piston rings...what PIA that would be
