In this video, I show you how to connect a guitar to tablet or phone (iOS and Android). Connecting your guitar for recording or just jamming is easier than you might think, but does require at least some additional gear to get started. I strongly recommend NOT TO USE the audio 3.5mm connector that some devices and entry-level audio interfaces might still have. Go instead for a digital connection, either lightning, usb-C, micro-USB or any other digital option your devices can offer. This ensures a better and more consistent quality to your audio, because this what we are looking for, am i right? ;)

My problem is: how to livestream my bass or my guitar to skype or meet or similar platforms... using a Focusrite or similar and my iPadpro 2021... to get online lessons 🙄🙄 Thanks Emiliano!

Hey there! Well i guess the thing is you need to make sure the audio interface you choose, focusrite or anything else, is compatible not just with macOs, but also with iOS. It should be stated on any specs webpage when you check a brand. If the audio interface is a bit older it might not be the case i’m afraid. Once that is verified, you still need to find a “software” way to channel your voice AND instrument line onto zoom or skype. There should be some mobile apps that do the job i do with Ladiocast, but I don’t have further details right now as i do not use a tablet for my lessons. Hope that helps a little. Best of luck! ;)

Great info. I would like to see a guitar app run it’s signal R to L , like we do in real life. It’s a visual thing.

Hi Michael, that would make completely sense and adding to the “real” experience factor a lot i guess! Totally agree :)
