How to Connect Guitar to Android - Plus GIVEAWAY
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 1 июл 2024
- Let's look at how to connect your guitars to your Android Smartphone or tablet. You can use these steps with an Electric, bass or acoustic (with a pickup) to turn your Android device into a mobile guitar rig easily. You may notice whats called "Latency" on Android devices especially, and thankfully we look at how to overcome that by using "Deplike" app. Deplike has the ability to overcome the Latency problem with its USB driver when using USB audio interfaces. Cool right!
Using these features will come in handy when you're playing busking shows, jamming at home (or with friends when we can) or even recording some demo material for your social media and personal music.

This is the year to start using my smartphone with guitar for some live stuff.
Was just wondering about how to use an android phone in conjunction with a guitar. Much to my surprise , low and behold I stumble upon your most awesome video regarding this matter. Too cool. Rock On 🎸
I ❤😊 Luv the Distracting Background Music... 🎉 🎉 🎉 😂 🎉🎉🎉
Mine would be for Android. I would be using it for recording, practice, and jamming at home possibly some live. Having the full version would be awesome. I am a full time student and single dad so my money is usually used for necessity not for luxury. Really liked the video very informative. Thanks
Thank you so much, I landed here after watching other reviews from you.... I really appreciate the clear and concise info. It helped me to decide about some gear needed in this lockdown. Will use this for motivating my highschool students to create and experiment with music, freestyle, even podcasting... the things they enjoy. Sorry for the choppy english 😅. Saludos from México City. 😎
Thanks for watching! Good for you helping out the kids man, music is an art that needs to be kept alive! Kids have so many inexpensive options these days
Thank you this was great I learned a lot I didn't know this was possible. I appreciate that you measured the delay I hate latency. Good to know that the latency is not so bad. I might actually buy something
Very helpful info. Would be great to hear a few other effects but thats no big deal. Thanks
Wow great video 🤘🏼
Andriod. Galaxy tab S8. With deplike. Works just as you said! Thanks for tips, bro!!
New to your channel.,but I appreciate your videos. I have hardly any guitarist or musicians close to my home. So it is hard for me to find hands on advice with guitar or connection problems I'm having. Really like how you remain calm while you are in demo or explanations. Has been such a struggle to keep dedicated when there are so many ups and downs that sometimes after practice I feel defeated. But I love music and that in itself refills my motivation. I have been playing steady for 3 years now and I'm no where close to where I thought I would be by now. But when I look back I shave come along ways just tracking my self through videos. I'm a drummer and I love to play bass as well. I have been focused on my studio for about 4 to 5months now. And it has kept my accounts pretty much empty trying to fill all the gaps. I am a Army Veteran and only receiving partial benefits and I'm in recovery of addictions and fight with anxiety every day. I'm working part time but the pay is not much. But the point I'm getting at is the money saved for good tone is huge with digital. I have been 2 months now trying to get connected. What a struggle but I'm not giving up. Your video was a huge help. So thank your. I look forward to more of your videos. You have a great day man. Rock on....
hey @timothyrohde4739, thanks for your kind words! Take er EZ!!
Love this video, learned alot but I need you help please. I need a usb for my ultra 23 2 go to my irig 1. What chord do you recommend? I bought 2 & in the recording, it was a loud buzzing sound but in my ears, I, didn't hear it.
Great job
Thanks so much, informative and straightforward. Android
Android just starting new at using a electric 5string bass :)
Nice use of the "Wilhelm scream". I have the same phone in the video, and a galaxy tab A. I'm teaching my daughter guitar, with Deplike she could find "her" sound.
Thanks for watching! Kudos to getting the kids into music too
Hello! I wanted to give you a code to unlock the *full Deplike app* , you're the *first winner in the giveaway* ! I'll contact you directly to get the code to you from Deplike. 😀👏👏
@@DarkRoastRecording Thank you
Very informatie, did even learn a little. But my android doesnt have a 3,5mm jack input only usb-c
No worries, you just need to use your usb-c to headphone jack dongle. Works fine in any usb-c android ive tried.
Amazing
I have a phonic 865plus how do I hook up effects on it
Since I was Diagnosed bone cancer in 2019 I would love to try it direct to our church mixer
Praying for you 🙏🙏 May God heal you and bless you and your family and loved ones 🙏🙏🙏
I have a usbc to aux adapter, will deplike still work?
I would use it for home studio recording
Hi DRR,
Can we have a list of the songs that areplaying in the background :)
The latency test isn't working for me at all, it just says please unplug all devices from phone
Thanks for the video. I have a question, does the iRig also work on Android phones and are there differences with the latency between bandlab link analog mini and the iRig? Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching! Yes the irig works on Android phones, but not with the amplitube app that comes with it. This is why i used Deplike. There aren’t really any latency differences between the link analog mini or irig2 that ive heard. Pretty much the same thing.
36ms is a lot of latency. On my computer I stick to around 3ms when using MIDI keyboard controller, and from 10 ms you start to really feel it (disconnection between notes and sound), and around 36ms it will be very audible
you're not wrong there at all. It is noticable, but still workable. Android devices are notorious for bad latency unfortunately. take er EZ
I tried irig2 today and it doesn't work with Android 🤷
While doing this, can I start a chord tracker app on my Android device. I'm a little more of a beginner so I mainly play chords along with songs on my phone. Adding effects would be very cool. I'm currently playing through the Fender Mustang but it hasn't as many effects as I would like.
Hey, thx for watching. I'm not aware of a way to do that live while playing through an fx app unfortunately.
How can I connect my aero guitar via Bluetooth or USB MIDI?
irig ua... works online with amplitude not deplike nor tonebridge which doesn't recognize any device ...
Samsung 8! ok this video is 2 years old, yet it has valuable info .The guitar is in
Head Phones yet the video is in sync
What about USB guitar link ?
it isnt working for me, i have a note 20 ultra and like im using a usbc audio thingy
Android apps would be home or show later on down the road
When I tried to use my Galaxy fold 3 with irig2 the fold doesn't have a headphone jack so I got the headphone jack 3.5mm to USBC adapter and when I plug that in it does not do anything it says something is plugged in but even when I try to play music with headphones plugged into it it still comes out of the phone and doesn't come out of the headphones almost like it's not recognizing the adapter at all any idea why??
Im not sure why that may be other than the adapter may not be working properly, or not supported by the Fold.
Also, check Android settings to allow USB devices, you may need to google how to do that.
If possible, try another adapter from a different manufacturer, one thats highly rated by other Galaxy fold users if possible. check Amazon reviews
Any suggestion in a physical pedal that with function with in the app
IK multimedia has a Bluetooth pedal to switch presets and stuff, Im sure there are others to compete as well, but that's the one that sticks out in my mind.
Midi control please?
I have crazy amount of feedback squeal on overdrive any app, noise gate doesn't help much adjusting drive or volume helps but i should reduce it to the point it's almost clean sound any advices?
What has been your experience running external guitar tones into iRig 2 for recording? Does it work running line out from modelers and amplifiers?
Hello and thx for your question! I have run my processed pedal chsin into the irig2 and it works ok. I would recommend though that if you do this, you will either need some form of boost in the chain towards the end so you don’t lose too much gain in the chain before going into the irig2. This of course depends on how many pedals you have in your chain. If you’re only running 3 - 4 pedals, you’re probably fine, if you have 10 pedals, you’ll need an inline boost of some sort, or a tone conditioner on the end the bring the amplitude back up. All trial and error, but just try it out and see what happens. :)
@@DarkRoastRecording thank you, I appreciate your response. I would be running line out from a POD HD or from a Peavey Vypyr
Guess I'm out of luck on the giveaway huh. 😢 .
Welp... New subscriber regardless
Years late brotato
Irig 1 has ton of feedback in headphones, irig 2 has feedback in headphones?
With android phone
Ive heard of that issue with iRig 1, but Ive never had one. I dont have feedback in my iRig 2 or HD 2. havent had that with an Android phone or iPhone. I would say thats not normal behavior
Can you record inside deplike?
You can't record into Deplike, but you can use the app within Garageband on iOS as an audio effect and record within Garageband.
I use a android and would use it for everything
I'm trying to use irig hd2 with deplike and there is a lot of latency...
Hey, you might want to turn on the Real-time USB Audio inside the app.
I bought a cheap interface to work with Android and failed successfully.. anyone tested an interface (portable) that works with Android and N-track app ?
I'm using line 6 sonic port (which only supports iOS) with an old ipad mini and is very good. But.. can't charge the iPad while using it.
I would get the lightning camera connector kit with lightning power, then you can charge the ipad while using the USB as well. www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/MK0W2AM/A/lightning-to-usb-3-camera-adapter
can i hear my guitar via my phone speakers instead of headphones?
no, the audio device is being used by the irig or Go Guitar Pro, so you cant switch between them.
so can i use this too say send my guitar into my phone to make tiktoks?
and hear audio from a video to duet with a person?
Would have been better without the crap background music.
why not Amp Rack?
Amp rack for android? Havent tried it TBH. Could use a facelift though from the pics on google play store. 😁
10ms latency is max for guitar playing
Singer songwriter on a low budget. Would much appreciate the free code.
😴
i left after a few minutes because of the distracting background music...sorry!
thats my bad, Im learning. :) thx for trying though
