These are the best presets I’ve bought on ANY synth. Also, every preset but one is very useable and gorgeous. But Hydrakt? Hydrakt is basically a whole ambient track in a single preset. I love that you threw that in there - and I can’t wait to learn from how you made this. Wow!!!

I did a search to see if Don Solaris had made a sound pack for the Hydrasynth yet and ended up here. I’m not disappointed. I was listening for a while and then noticed it’s Substan, so of course it sounds amazing.
Been playing with this for the last hour, and am only half way through. Just brilliant! Love the work you put into the macros for extra value. Knew I wouldn’t be disappointed, and I was right. Thank you so much for this!
You can read more about the macros in your manual. But the macros are adjustments you can make to each patch that has assigned macros to the eight knobs surrounding the screen on the right.

Many things about the since are awesome (see my review here on my YT).....however there were a few things that really annoyed me. The worst thing, was the way that - when you're saving a patch, all the sound cuts out for a few seconds. I do a lot of 'sound sculpting' during my improvised sessions, as well as at weekly jam sessions. I wan to be able to save sounds as I create them, but having all the sound stop was constantly annoying.......I have an Access Virus synth, which is capable to creating all the same sounds (wavetables, etc.), so I sold it, hoping that in the future, they'd resolve this......

I have a silly question, it seems that you only have 4 of the 8 mutators at any given time. I used to have the desktop and never really liked it so sold it. The explorer seems great value because of the PAT keybed. It only comes with 4 mutator knobs with a page down button. Do you think this would be better than the desktop? I have a Expressive E that can add dimension for more mutators if needed. I am looking for an organic style of synth that I can play expressively without breaking the bank. I think the explorer may be the way to go. Then I will get these patches.
If you're not that concerned with creating your own sounds, then Explorer is definitely a good choice. Otherwise, the additional knobs and buttons on the desktop are really helpful.
@@substan_music I've done some critical thinking, and I have assessed my needs. The explorer is something I can do with and I have a FaderFox EC4, this have bases covered. What occurred to me though was, I can get a desktop later, in 6 weeks time for either dual layer or polychained. I do have my reasons and my space is limited, it is around 1K less than the Deluxe which I could never use due to space, and I have been looking for something that suits my needs and fits into my budget. So Explorer and Desktop comes to the price of a Peak here. I've done the math and I can see with your patches, going to places that other gear would not get me. I have other modules, and the ASM has been staring me in the face all along. My extra special is that E touche` pedal for some serious modulation duties. Thx for the response.
@@dankeplace Even though great sounds are possible with the hydrasynth, I have always had a kind of love-hate relationship with it... and I have to honestly admit that I use it very rarely. I don't know how important MPE support is to you, but I can only warmly recommend that you take a closer look at the Minifreak. This is an amazing synth for the money.. and I will be releasing a sound pack for it in the near future. For me it has almost completely replaced the hydrasynth.

Mayhem is by far my fav, and you ask so little for these patches, I just have to wait another week or so before getting the explorer.
