FAQ
Are these patches compatible with the original Korg Minilogue?
- No. I love the original one, but these sound were prepared for the Minilogue XD Keyboard and Minilogue XD Desktop.
Do I need any custom oscillators or FX to run these patches?
- Fortunatelly no! Every patch has been created only using original, "factory" oscillators and fx.
How to import these patches into original hardware synth?
- It's really easy. You need to instal official Korg Minilogue XD Librarian and connect your unit with a computer via USB Cable. Check the RUclips for the tutorials and read the Manual file included in the downloaded folder.
Is there a joystick configured?
- Yes! Every patch has some joystick modulations configured.
Is there an onboard sequencer configured?
- No, I've left the sequencer untouched. You can create your own themes or parameter movements here.

just bought. you really should get your hands on an OP6. you can really explore on that thing. i think you would be impressed. maybe you'll get your hands on a Pro3 as well. 2 VCOs and a digi OSC, modulation paths for days, 2 effects slots.....that's all you. lol.

bout to put some life back into my XD! impressive because the XD doesn't give you a ton to work with compared to something like the rev2. your rev2 patches are my fav. would love to see what you could do with the Op6. demo is amazing.

I feel like I prefer these patches from the rev 2 ones. Is it because the onboard effects are better than the Rev2?

Both. There are separate program files as well as whole library.

2 things quick:
1. I suppose I’ll be adding g these from Librarian TO my blank USER preset space aboard XD, yes? Like it’ll all FIT on XD, yes?
and…less dumb question.
2. I have it in my head that, to my ear, Summit is the most beautiful synth sound I’ve ever heard. Like…I wouldn’t pay an additional $500 over summit to own a Moog One instead. You’ve make a bank of presets for Summit/peak. I wondered if you found Summit (or Peak) to be amazing ? Ok…almost as dumb, given a completely subjective thing.

@@watchaddicts1213 1. Yes, but make a backup of your existing patches first. And see some YT tutorials of how to use the Librarian. 2. I've used Peak and yes, it's an amazing synth :) But Hydra is more versatile.

In the blind, after searching and searching [for THE sound I heard in my head] one day I heard these Strings and [O M G] BRASS and classic Polysynth sounds and remarked, “THAT is what I want to own!” It turned out to be summit. Darn it…fairly expensive.
Oddly, I am determined to keep XD & Nymphes (and even my brand new Microminsta2. I might be willing to sell my Typhon to help with finding. I was recently advised: DON’T ever sell a Dreadbox!! We’ll see.
HS, albeit beyond my brainpower, is an amazing feat, no doubt. And Glenn Darcey is a great and talented guy. Purely based on Magical sound, Summit rang my bell.

QUESTION: Mr. Steplowski, if you had about $2000 to spend on a synth/synths, would you purchase the Rev 2, or for the sake of variety, purchase say the Korg Minilouge XD, Deepmind12 (Desktop) and maybe another cheaper synth? The choice is a wider palette, or the depth of the Rev 2? Would really appreciate an answer and also look forward to buying sounds from you!!
You know I'm a synth freak so there are lot of dream synths on my list ;) For now I think I would go for the Udo Super 6, which is a digital synth with analog filters. It sounds amazing and has this analog vibe: no screen, great design etc. If you need a 100% great sounding classic analog: go for the Prophet 6. If you want an analog with multi-timbrality and lot of modulation possibilities: go for the REV2. If you want an analog to do sound design experiments: go for the Moog Matriach. And if it can be digital: look for the UDO. Get one synth and master it.
@@Synth-PatchesCom Thanks so much for your response man, I really appreciate it. I think it is looking like the Rev 2 plus the Empress Reverb are going to be the winners. I keep hearing how good reverb and a few FX added to the Rev 2 really take the synth to a new level. I also like that it is compatible with Omnisphere which I have some experience with. I also am a fan of James Blake who uses the synth, and I really dig the vibe. Thanks for your input though, can't wait to get the synth and purchase your patches. i appreciate the tip of Mastering the synth before buying anything else. Good looking out!
@@jmeditation Look for the Empress Zoia before buing Empress Reverb. Zoia has one of the best reverb algorhitms from E. Reverb (the "ghost reverb") plus tons of additional amazing features. I had Empress Reverb, switched to Zoia and now I'm considering getting the second Zoia :D
korg prologue and Deepmind 12 are both great. Nobody knows it but they are insanely powerful and the oscillators sound just as good as vintage.
Please make some patches for the bass station 2 BTW if you have the time. Thanks for making great patches 🎉

Do you let the Deluge generate some of these demos? Or all hand played?
Sequences were programed on the Deluge. Some of the themes were played by hand, but my skills are horrible ;P So mostly trusty Delly ;)

Hard to say. DM has more voices, XD has bigger fun factor ;)

Hard to say :) Minilogue is an analog synth with some limits in terms of modulation. Hydra is a modulation beast but it's 100% digital. You can check my reviews on the product pages (Hydra and Minilogue).
I have both, the xd is definitely more warm analog type sounds, and you can load third party FX (like from Sinevibes). The Explorer has really good layout and poly aftertouch, but definitely more digital and the FX are so-so, although there are some great analog sounding patches available for it. Both are great, hard to pick but for me the XD just sounds so good.
Will these work on a korg minilogue?
Only XD keyobard and module. Next I'm going to convert this soundset to Prologue.

Original Minilogue is quite limited in terms of modulation possibilities and FX, it could be hard to do the same sounds.

Hmm you man a soundbank for the virtual instrument? There is a new Microkorg VST plugin in which you can transfer the soundbank I've made.

Just wondering if you we’re maybe planning on doing any more which would work for vst versions. Or maybe diva which I mentioned in another comment as tons of people use that synth and been around for a while or maybe something else from the arturia collection would be sick 🙂
@@coralismmusic496 you can check my soundset for Microkorg, I'm quite happy with the results. It's an amazing piece of gear if you know the front panel and train the muscle memory :) Diva - I have it, maybe in the future but you know...working with a mouse is killing my creativity unfortunatelly :(
