Love when these two are on screen together! You can't beat that chemistry.
Sorry to be off topic but does any of you know of a way to log back into an Instagram account??
I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me
@Bradley Yael instablaster :)
DEF...biggfun....the sheere Happinez!!!
The sequence at 18:10 is the one that made me buy an XD, heard it in many demos and I was sold.
#brewtime!
I'm sold. That sequencer, the effects, the possibilities. Can't wait to own one.

luke fan club checking in
Luke's Kronos video made me buy a Kronos 2.
Now Luke's made me buy a Minilogue XD.
Luke makes my day, more than once...right man at the right place. Korg make ´m rich!
To anyone wishing there were extra LFOs - it has 4 lanes of motion sequencing. Just wiggle whatever control(s) (filter, pitch, shape etc) at the speed you want. Not a perfect solution but it does the job
17:37 SOLD! Shimmer built in! WOO so awesome.
I love how excited Jack is about Luke’s sounds being on there and Luke’s reaction to his friend (I assume) being proud of him, also a monster synth
This is really helpful. Just got the Minilogue xd as my first synth after playing around with my friend's Moog Matriarch. I love the sound and keys on the Matriarch, but this has a much better value for a beginner imho. The visuals really help with knowing what I'm doing, or not doing.
Waited for this one since i heard of the upcomin Minilogue XD. This team is an absolut UNIT. Appreciate your videos. Literally the only „long“ vids i watch on Yt. Keep up the good work. Much love from Germany.
Ja, die fetzen die beiden! Aber der XD ist auch ein Monster. Unglaublich, wie gut das Ding klingt! Der rohe Klang allein ist fett.
Kann es sein, das der noch besser klingt, als der große Logue?
Tristan Theuerkorn Heared similar comments before. I dont know if one can judge by comparing youtube videos about the two synths. Guess you have to try these in store. Haptic feel of prologue compared to Minilogue is on another level. Personally i dont like the plasticy feel of the bottom part of the Minilogue/Monologue series, but of course its another price class then the big boy Prologue.
Great presentation. You two make a good combination. So will the XD and the Prologue.
Also, that sequence at the end is gorgeous!
Ok, I’m sold! After dabbling with this beast at Guitar Center and watching this demo, I’m getting myself a Minilogue as my early Christmas present!
Mars The Apollo good for u dude.

+1
I am in the US, and I got one of these last week. It has a lot of power and sounds great. I already downloaded a couple of program packs for it and made a few patches of my own. I am looking to get the Minilogue XD Module now in order to get an 8-voice machine version of this. Great stuff here, guys - always a pleasure watching the videos.
Afterhours at Anderton with those two....
Would be interresting.
any video with luke from korg is an instant thumbs up
Great show Jack. I bought a JDXi after watching your "Rusty Spoons" blog.. But this blows it out of the water on every front. Damn
Bought one, it's amazing. I hope Jack will do another video on it!
Absolutely love this review. The reactions are well and truly deserved. The melody at 17 mins kills me. Beautiful!
Just ordered my module! On a other note, i love when these guys do videos together
Hey :) , if you want these patches: ruclips.net/video/i2rq9cMMt2s/видео.html I can sell them for 5$ :D
Monologue XD is a nice synthesizer. The quality build and presets sold me. Thanks for showing an overview and confirming its music production value.
My headphones during this video: "Please stop, i'll tell you anything."
Luke from Korg! Yes!
And I will get this to accompany my regular old Minilogue as soon as I get the dough for it :-P
These guys are so enjoyable!
Especially the faces from Jack are so funny sometimes. Great to watch them both and to hear the XD!
This synth is an only sweetspot!
Greetings from Germany!
Mine is on order at a place I use often. I think I missed the first batch and am dying to get my hands on it. It will pretty much be the final piece of kit i'll be purchasing for a while. Went a little spend crazy this past year. Not much else i need or i'll just be buying different brands of the same type of instrument. I've never had a hard synth, only a midi keyboard so i'm excited.
PNW AJS I have the same problem. Waiting for mine too.
It's always nice to see you guys together
Even though this would never happen, I would love a desktop version of this!
Bryce Arseneau i’ve seen a couple of people DIY their Minilogues into desktop units, so that’s a possibility
It happened my dude!!
@@caydilemma3309 i wanna see if I can do that to my Moog Grandmother
Simply break of all the keys and saw off the bed underneath. Hey presto! A desktop version. I should charge for this kind of advice.....

There is no Luke without Jack in this channel... I'm sorry.. if these guys aren't together doing a synth or keyboard review.. i don't want it ! lol
The adventures of Luke & Jack 😂💯🔥🎶🤟🏿
This one was particularly fun to watch. I was literally laughing out loud.
I love this bromance.
I absolutely MUST have this in my life. Time to bust out the credit card! 😂 Great video lads.
Amazing team. The first patch from Luke („Replicants“) is sooooooo awesome. Get every time lost for hours when i play this one ❤️👌
What a great product demo... I learned so much too
on my second watch, great video! Minilogue XD ordered and on the way!
Would be so cool to have second lfo for minilogue xd. May be Korg would remake Minilogue xd to second generation of it. Thank you 🙋♂️😄
Waiting for a Prologue XD cause I know if I buy a prologue, the XD version will be released a week later.... Please korg!
Jeff Kent lol don’t hold your breathe dude
@@davidfaustino4476 well, that's a sad outlook! There's heaps more things they could add! Perhaps aftertouch? That's one of the things holding me back. Maybe improve the already pretty decent effects by adding in a real spring reverb? An extra octave? Maybe a coffee warmer? The point is, the minilogue wasn't all that old and got a XD treatment, so why not the prologue, heaps of upgrades they can consider. I just feel one on the horizon I guess.
Jeff Kent no
yes prologue XD Module!!!
Good grief I love this synth and these men
Enjoyed the video, thanks! It's indeed hard not to buy this one as it is reasonably priced IMHO
Just bought one and it is amazing. Great video guys!!
Looks great. Especially the coding of an oscillator.
Jack and Luke together again !!!! Yesssss
16:00 LMFAO these guys are my favorite
This is so fun! Thank you guys!
i need that thing in my life... thanks
Get the XD module and get 2 of them and slave one to the other for 8 voices! Works great. Though if you have the space the Korg Prologue with 16 voices may be your best value. This synth is underated imo. 2 analog osc and 1 digital can be combined to create quite a few timbres. Still, the 2 modules in master and slave modes is a space saver to create an 8 voice analog synth.
Why would you do that?? The other module you added is useless..
Watched this for the 3rd time. Pure Entertainemente. Sounds are so lovely... and of course Jack in topform!° nioce.
Just ordered the white version. Stoked!!!!
Hey :) , if you want these patches: ruclips.net/video/i2rq9cMMt2s/видео.html I can sell them for 5$ :D
i would LOVE for this minilogue to have 8 voices. It would be absolutely perfect with all of its features.
its called the prologue
Huck that was my first thought as well, though the prologue is missing the step sequencer. The minilogue is very inviting with everything it has. I just wish it had like at least 6 voices.
@@Qagan ..... it will on next update, you see ... 👍🎶🍻
@@theaudioeng 6 voices 64 step sequence yes please. But no kidding, seems like a great synth this
@Rhizosphere havent used this, but my fear would be that it is less direct/intuitive. The XD looks real intuitive and quickly programmable. And also easy to sequence 4 motion parameters and polyphonic sequencing.
waaaaa ... can't wait for the module!!.. but you just rocking the keyboard version like that makes me wanna just get it with keybed even though i don't have the space :D
This guy looks as hyped as I am about it, love it.
Korg: "Basically if you bought a prologue in the last year you're a fucking idiot."
Awesome stuff, init? You sold me on this one! I have to have one.
I really hope with the XD release the og minilogue drops in price. Was gonna get a mono but waiting to see if the mini does drop at all
This drum sounds and pattern that Luke played in the end of the video are sick. I would by this only because of them. Not only of course but it's really great. Can you tell me are these like a factory preset or Luke patched them for the demo? Thanks for your fun and informative demos.
Shame that the LFO doesn´t have a random waveform, I use it very often
@@Hrotti synth noob here: what would you need to sync cv to your minilogue xd?
This DEMO sold me the XD. This sounded big thru surround 7.2. Windows did rattle. Only one minor let down, there’s NO HOLD key/note function. Other than arpeggio latch.
I just bought mine today :D
G.A.S. ist strong with this one 🙈🤞
Wow man I’m so happy I bought this thing!!!!🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼
that arp at 16:52 was absolutely gorgeous.
Will it do Danish Pete vibrato??
20:53 Cyndi Lauper is in the building ;)
Everybody needs a minilogue xd!!!!;+) OHWYEAAAH!!! WHAT A BEAST IN SHEEPSCLOTH....DEF MUST HAVE!!!! Back in the end of1999-2001 this could be the! Trance synth!!!!! Fatt ass sounds....thanx Korg
after this video i decided to buy it wt*? omg luke you are amazing
16:50 nice
Ummmmm.........the sequence at the end? Is this not the solo for the Nick Drake song Pink Moon?
Remi or Luke.. who does Jack love the most.... 'Fight'
I have oen of tehse, rarely use it. Its a difficult synth to fit in the mix (there are many, not just this one). Could be teh style fo music I make (techno) but only been able to get one sound used on a track. I thought with the knob controls I woudl be able to get sounds fast that work in tracks, but this was not the case. The range of sound is limited if you want sounds that are a bit different. The XD is sort of bread and butter synth and I think for most people in most genres they would get more out of it than I have. What I really want is a buchla, but I will never be able to afford one of those
Great demo and really fab synth .
I had the original but didn't like it. However this XD is impressive.
Getting the desktop version 🤔
Luke comes alive with Jack 🤣👍🏼
Someone coded a sampler, so you can just upload samples to this thing now, too
Ok now I have it since a few weeks. I don't know everything yet because I'm relatively new to synth, but as I try to fight my chronical G.A.S. I wondered : Do I need a Grandmother or MS-20 to compliment it, or does the Minilogue XD can do what the others can do (except modular connectivity) ?
I really cant make up my mind between this or the hydrasynth explorer. but due to the sequencer this has the edge at the moment. I am new to synth and dont use computers so what reasonably priced sequencer would you recommend so I could start being really creative with the XD or the hydrasynth?
what are you using for speakers? What's plugged into the back??
Came for the Jack/Luke bromance. Left slightly disappointed. Still the best vids on Anderton’s, and I’m a guitar player.
betweenthelines yes, jack needs to be jack. Not the sedated version
I ordered one in April, got an email to say it will be towards the end of may when it's ready to ship, fair enough i thought.
Got another email in May to let me know the date of delivery had changed to the end of June........so i canceled and ordered the original Minilogue off a different company.
(Note: the company i ordered from originally wasn't Andertons, just in case anyone thought i might be dissing them)
Obviously it wasn't the company's fault that i had to wait, or that the date of delivery kept changing, these things happen but i just thought that maybe the original Minilogue would be ok,
i was right, i'm more that happy with it, will i get the XD at a later date?, probably not, the original does what i need it to do.
how's that holding up? the standard version has the advantage of a two and four pole toggle which is nice.
At some points in this video the KORG demo guy is physically (if not actually) playing 6 notes, 1 left hand bass note plus a 5 note rhs chord. On a 4 voice poly?
it was on an arpeggio setting which plays through each note pressed one at a time rhythmically. so technically only needs one mono voice to do so.
16:00 So he is pressing 6 keys on a 4 voice synth...? Nice demo anyway :)
21:26 BRANDY THE BOYS MINE
Does anyone know of a stand that could be used to add this to a two-keyboard set-up (Nord Electro 5D 73 on bottom and Juno DS on top) for live gigging?
Help! lol. I bought the Minilogue xd and I loved it but I quickly took it back when I saw a sale at Guitar Center for the Moog Grandmother and I really wanted a Moog in my line up. Now....I'm trying to decide between getting the Minilogue xd again, or the Prologue 16. I love the idea of the Prologue but It bums me out that I loose the cool cut off and other features of the joystick that the Minilogue has. That's the only thing holding me back from pulling the trigger on the Prologue.
These 2 have such good energy together lol "condom on the sound" Lol
I'm deciding between buying a minilogue XD and a Prologue 8, I love the minilogue but I have an issue with there only being 4 voices.
I'm torn because i'm sure i'm going to delve deeper into synths overtime, so i'd much rather spend more to get more features/a better synth overall.
Does anyone have any opinion on whether the prologue is worth buying it over the XD? Thanks a lot!
Its one product where theres some benefits to both and many wish they'd have gone a bit larger with prologue and covered those gaps better like a flagship should.
XD is very clearly the modular choice and its a feature in many setups. Combined with other things and pushed to less of an extreme not everyone has the issue with voicing and can appreciate the sound, the sequencing and connectivity. But thats a certain type of player.
Prologue I see as totally unique to itself. People comparing specs will look at other brands and stall on basic omissions like aftertouch et al and thats fair -until you weigh in just how great prologue sounds. Thats its catch point. It sounds so good that its almost enough alone. Thing is that because of the few feature limitations vs what you can get when you go bigger, I took 8 voices to be a question mark. If you are leaping up to prologue and losing the features of minilogue as well as the larger footprint; is it worth it. And thats how I ended up with prologue-16. The sonic power and custom oscillators are insane. The compressor will rip your head off. And that does make it clearly worthwhile. You'll find dozens of reviews saying the same.
Its a difficult gig compared to the digital craze now. As the new synths like Hydra, have similar low voices sometimes or a lack of multimbre - but the feature depth and ease of use is crushing in value. They simply define themselves so well; its not even a debate and easy to select what you need.
Sonically speaking both of the korgs won't disappoint you. As a keys player I also needed a pro over a mini, for obvious reasons aside voicing. So if you consider how each might fit in a wider set up you'll have less issue deciding between them.
@@ErraticFaith wow thanks for the in depth reply, that’s very helpful !
@@benclark9720 No problem :)
The 16 steps seems extremely and unnecessarily limiting. It's obviously limiting (not in a good creative constraint way for me) to the point that I wonder if I'm missing something? Are they stackable in some way that that limitation does not practically exist? Other than that the synth sounds fantastic. I just tried one in person. Thanks for any info here.
Sounds very good but i dont know why its sounds to me like you record the monitor output with a mic and not direct, make sense?
Is it possible to play two sequencer at a time? So for example i have a drum sequence and simultaneously i want a arp sequence on top of it?
If you really want to hear what this amazing synth is capable of, check out HYPNOTICA-The black forest. You will be blown away!!!!!
23:48 Nils Frahm?
11:19 HOOLEY DOOLEY
Now we need an XD desktop module. Hint, hint...

Too bad they can hire like because these two make a great team.
That synth packs a mighty thwonk
c++ sounds easy! yeah
This is still the best Video 😂ever
a minilogue FS would be the best selling synth of the 21st century
Seriously struggling to pick a polysynth to complete my set-up (no seriously). This really looks great... Packed full of features, and a good price point for someone that's still really a novice like me. Sonically though I don't think it tickles the right spots for me. I want something that's lush and deep sounding, the Minilogue comes across as a little cold and metallic, (OG did in the flesh anyway). Torn between Minilogue XD/Prophet Rev2 the workflow and the directness of the interface looks great. The Deepmind 12 looks good too but I have the Model D/Neutron from Behringer too so keen to try something else. Any help?
Meaning I can load my open waveforms?
I wish korg would make a proper analogue drum machine...but fuck me right
does luke from Korg have his own channel ?
