With a warm engine at about 800 rpms Unplug the TPS and set timing to your engine specs. usually 10 degrees BTDC for KA24E Your timing spec should be on a sticker under the hood.
@@jogmas12 The Z24 has a different chain, tensioner and different slack side guide. Tensioner is at bottom on the Z24 and pushes directely on the chain. Slack side guide is mounted solid with two mounting fasteners. Slack side guide is adjusted to snug the chain manually on the Z24 at time of a new chain install. If the guide is not adjusted manually at time of install the chain will make noise even with a new chain install. Upper fastener hole in this guide is slotted to allow adjustment. If you can access this upper fastener you may be able to loosen and adjust guide into chain if there is still enough room in the slot to make another adjustment. If the head or block have ever been milled this lowers camshaft and in effect makes it necessary to swing the guide farther to make the snug chain adjustment. The Z24 can have chain rattle, can sometimes be fixed by manually adjusting slack side guide to snug the chain.
Thanks
No problem,
Measuring the chain is the best way to determine if its its elongated.
