Simply the best set Lego ever made I'm a bit nifted that Bag End is gonna be a lot smaller, I really wanted a Shire landscape set similar in detail to Rivendell
A great review, one of the best I have seen on this set. I don't have it but plan on getting it next year as luckily its retirement has been moved to 2026.
The only knock I have on this set is the open back doll house concept. Eventually I will purchase this but I think I will dish out the cash and get two copies so I can MOC the rear to close up. Great review as always
Amazing and spellbinding review as always, Sir. I have this as one of many sets to build after taking up an Amazon offer on Black Friday. A must buy, it is a stunning set full of charm and a nod with every Lego piece to Tolkien's world. You have wet my appetite to buikd this sooner than I had planned. Keep up the exceptional work. Your reviews are enthralling and pitch perfect. After watching your enthusiasm for the Lion Knights' Castle, this is another set I now want. You are a bad influence on my bank balance. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, best wishes, and happy Lego building for 2025 and beyond.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful words-it truly means a lot! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025! I hope you have a fantastic time building this set and many other sets-it sounds like we have an exciting LEGO year ahead. Thank you again for the support, and happy building! 🎄✨
definitely on my list, but seeing as they pushed back retirement a year to 2026, several ones retiring in 2025 like LKC, and the Hocus Pocus house are going first, Unless there is a great deal on it. Awesome review, Though I'd love to see some if any more criticisms, or a more in-depth look into the details you found most fascinating and why.
Thank you so much! It’s such a colossal set that if I were to go really in-depth, the video could easily be an hour long. As I mentioned, there are countless building techniques packed into every section-it’s truly unlike any LEGO set I’ve ever seen, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. As for its retirement, to be honest, I’m not sure it’ll happen anytime soon. I believe it’s one of LEGO’s best-selling sets, much like the Lion Knights’ Castle. Every time I visit a LEGO store, I see someone picking up Rivendell!
02:40 LEGO may have made it white, but it’s not a white dress in the film. Her dress is a very very light shade of a very odd shade of green! Just like snowspeeders and x wings (and imperial lambda class shuttles) are not white they’re all shades of grey but LEGO makes them white anyways! 😂
The only knock I have against this set is the scant lore details in the instruction manual. Buying this set as a fan of Lord of the Rings, I would’ve liked to see more references to the source material rather than building techniques, but that’s just my opinion
When I placed it next to Barad-dûr, it seemed slightly smaller, even though it has more pieces. So, I understand why the price tag might be a concern for some builders. But let’s be honest-if there’s one set to get, this would be the one!
The short answer is yes. For me, Rivendell stands out as the best set in terms of building techniques-I’ve never experienced anything like it before, with each step feeling unique from the last. Visually, it’s absolutely stunning. On the other hand, the Lion Knights' Castle offers more hidden features and greater playability. So, it really depends on what you’re looking for in a set. If it’s purely for display, I’d recommend Rivendell, especially if you’re a fan of LOTR-then it’s a no-brainer. That said, both sets are truly excellent, and I’m really glad to have them in my collection.
I haven't had the chance to build the Titanic yet, as it's well beyond my budget at the moment. If I were to buy it, I wouldn't be able to purchase other sets for review for at least two months.

I gave this set to myself for Christmas and you are 100% correct: it is a beautiful display piece! Great review! Thanks!
Thank you and Merry Christmas

Good review
Your videos about Lego sets are the best. I hope you continue to do some great videos like that. Thank you
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m always working to improve my videos, so hopefully, you’ll see even better content next year. Thanks again!
Wishing you a very merry Christmas Lukas. I will wake up to this tomorrow morning and looking forward to putting this together.
Merry Christmas, Craig! I hope you enjoyed the build as much as I did. It’s such a remarkable set-I can’t stop admiring it!

YEEEES YOU FINALLY DID IT ❤
I love this set. I would love to see sets for Bag End and Minas Tirith.

I bought this and build it a month ago. It's a stunning set but my only criticism is it's worth closer to $400 than $500.
When I placed it next to Barad-dûr, it seemed slightly smaller, even though it has more pieces. So, I understand why the price tag might be a concern for some builders. But let’s be honest-if there’s one set to get, this would be the one!
Is this better than LKC? I can't decide between the two and I can only choose one.

Little bit too late, isn't it??
It’s never too late is it
A wizard is never late, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Titanic Best lego ever .
Rivendell et lion Knight castle are fantastic.
