great feeling that i was here, WORLD YOUTH DAY 1995,fortunately given a chance that his mobile change the route & he passed in front of us waving, a very simple old man at first look but i dont know at that moment i felt like holy spirit is with me , i start to cry & just notice thats not only me, all the people was crying..no wonder he is pope of the people. i cant believe that the man who u saw 16 years ago is going to be saint now. i missed this because i had moved to toronto canada already. so i resolved that i would attend every world youth day there is, which i did and still does. i was in paris, toronto, cologne, sydney, madrid., now i am leaving for rio de janeiro WYD 2013. i pray that the wyd will be held in manila again; and when the time comes i wont miss it.
i remeber.. 7 years old palang ako nun.. sa province kami, kay sa mga videos ko lng nakikita ito mga ito.. dunno.. why there a tears in my eyes.. thanks at na-upload nyo ito for us na hindi nakapunta or wala pang kamuang muang noon.. salamat!!!
i was there during that vigil night, was part of the 5choirs who sang on that stage. i could even see myself from 1:14 to 1:28, tall capped long hair hahah! the air was like blessed the moment the Pope stepped in. my choirmate mel abuyo was the one who handed the big candle to the Pope and he was so lucky the Pope embraced him for what seemed like hours. oooh, what a wonderful night indeed!
I always cry when i hear this song. I was only 5 when this happened and my aunt who's the youth leader of our parish was there during that time. I remember when she was sick of cancer, in extreme pain and on the verge of death, she told us her story during this time with such enthusiasm and with a smile on her face. So whenever i miss her, i always watch any video clips the 1995 world youth day.
I will never forget this day for the rest of my life. I was nine years old then when it was happened and never had a chance to attend personally the event but we watched it on TV. I may not be there in person but in my young heart I feel the unity and overwhelming love. We love you St. John Paul! God Bless the world.

Hindi ako nakadalo nun dahil wala pa ako masyadong alam sa mga ganyang event iba kasi ang batang 90s nun para sa akin mga hindi pa ganun ka expose. Nag ka cut pa ako ng mga songhits at dyaryo nun kinokolekta o mga images ng event. Ang saya maging bata nuon. Kaya ng ng magkaroon ng Papal Visit muli, sabi ng anghel ko pumunta daw ako at makisaya sa pagdiriwang. Nakakluha at parang kakaiba ang pakiramdam. Iyong ang tagal mng tumayo para intayin ang pagdaan ni Pope Francis, ang saya after.Sana magkaroon pa muli ng ganitong event, hindi ko masasabing kaya pa ng katawan ko pero pipilitin kong makidalo muli kasama ang Santo Papa :). OH MY GOD, i had goosebumps while watching it. i was just 9 then when BL.JPII arrived in the Philippines, i really want to attend the WYD but then, they told me i was too young, it would not be easy for me to go with them then, so i just watched it in the TV and as I see all those crowds then, i was crying and i dont know why, maybe because i, as a Filipino, feel so blessed that the POPE is with us that very moment, and i believe that the POPE is really the representative of the LORD.
