- Reliving the moments and outpour of emotions during the last Papal visit by Pope John Paul II in 1995. Today, twenty years after, we also look forward to a memorable and peaceful Papal visit by Pope Francis.
Blessed to have been given the opportunity to be one of the delegates for the World Youth Day 1995! I was 15 and a junior in High School.

The WYD happening now in Lisbon prompted me to look for the WYD that took place in Manila. I was one year old when it happened. I never saw him alive, but his holiness was undeniable when I visited his tomb inside the Basilica of St. Peter. Yes, JP II is a true saint. And on April 2, 2023, I had the opportunity to serve the 266th Vicar of Christ in the person of Pope Francis as his palm bearer at the Palm Sunday Mass in St. Peter Square. He was the one approaching us. I couldn't imagine what was happening as he came closer to us. The Pope is coming and literally, I have his palm waiting for his blessing.
Pope john paul 2 please pray for us this pandemic that we face right now. Please pope tell the god the we loved him 🙏🏻😭🌏🌎🌍❤️❤️

I remember that time, I am a member of Opus Dei in College and I was active in our Parish as a Legion of Mary. When the Pope John Paul 2 was arriving in 1995 we went to Davao for vacation in December 1994 at our Uncle and Aunt house December then the Pope had arrived in January or February 1995 so we rode. Ship going back to Manila. As one of the delegates we arrived at Luneta Park welcoming Pope as a Holy man. We call him Viva Santo Papa or Carol Wotaywa as said then we sing Let us tell the World of His Love..wp .. We had overnight Camping waiting for our beloved Pope to pass by next morning and afternoon, then we saw him waving to us! A Holy and God fearing man, and a servant of Christ Jesus. 🤨🤨😇😇🙂🙂🙏🙏🙏😎😎😎😎

Reporter pala si Loren before?
If i'm not mistaken, she was a reporter for Channel 4. In the early 80s, it was a anchor for NewsWatch with the late Harry Gasser, then after Edsa Revolution in 1986, she became a news anchor for The World Tonight on ABS-CBN with the late Angelo Castro Jr. and hosted PEP Talk eventually The Inside Story.
