Hi guys! Have you ever been to the Caribbean 🏖 ? If so, which island did you like most? Let me know if you'd like to see similar videos with ATC coverage, curious to hear if you would prefer that over music 😏 Have a great day!😘
Beautiful! We live in the Caribbean and love it here. Our favorite Caribbean trip is to Saba via St Maarten/Stacia.
I’ve been to the ABC islands and to SXM. I made lots of videos and photos of planes landing at Maho beach. And because I shared the landing video of the KLM crew who were to bring me home, I got extra services during my flight back home. I could get into the cockpit (that’s where my profile picture is from) and got extra drinks and a business class kit. The Dutch Caribbean are such amazing places. My favourite is Bonaire because of the rich variety of diving spots!
@@stellarvi Must be so cool to live there!
Saba😹
Martinique
To the 11 who don't like this, Michelle obviously has sacrificed, worked hard and her video's are top notch. Educating and entertaining done at the same time and done well is not an easy task, Michelle does it great!
😘
@@DutchPilotGirl I want a heart as well. :)
The now 27 that don't like this, has been identified as Antarctic penguins.
They are just envious and jealous...
@@kaptnkaspy Ok, doing their happy feet thing....
I find full cockpit views very interesting - seeing the pilots, instrument panels and procedures and hearing the ATC comms as well as the pilots' eye view of the take-off and landing. All that, together with your matchless visual annotations, would be just THE BEST!
Thanks for your feedback! Will see what I can do!
@@DutchPilotGirl Very effective, professional use of your text widgets and callouts! Yes, the ATC would be good to hear, and perhaps callouts in the cockpit but I think you should keep the text displays, your sense of timing in terms of duration to read is very good. In general, I think it is wise to differentiate between cockpit videos and flight view videos. They both have their place but trying to do too much in one format makes the editing very challenging, and there is a risk of overwhelming certain viewers, especially on a short (beautiful) flight like this. This was really a pleasant experience. Thanks SO much! You are an excellent pilot, and great communicator.
@@DutchPilotGirl I agree with Alistair, more inside views of the flight deck would be excellent. I don't know if your fellow pilots or your company would approve, but here is an superb example that would be a good template for such videos:
ruclips.net/video/nZyjn_eh-zA/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/lERVlvIdCVI/видео.html
This corporate pilot has done a masterful job at putting the viewer right there with them along with good outside views and time spent at many cool or exotic locations too. (in my view the videos 3 years old are the best - new ones not so much - I enjoy Shaun and John the best)
@@dboss7239 Unfortunately my company and colleagues wouldn't approve, it's a privacy issue as well. In business aviation you often know the people you work with really well which changes the situation.
Wow excellent ur long distance take off due grossweight
This girl is one smart cookie. If I knew she was flying my plane I would sit back in my seat just a little easier.
That's what I wondered. Thought her plane was a 737. Isn't it?
Seeing you in the cockpit is what these rabble want.
Pity we did not see her in the cockpit....totally fake
Fantastic video, would like to hear you talking with ATC. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Thanks Dave! Might include ATC in the next one!
@@DutchPilotGirl please add yourself instead of the front view
I'll add my voice to those who would like more ATC and cockpit voice interaction rather than music overlay. Great channel Michelle. Congrats on the upgrade. 👍
Is there some legislation to not record the ATC audio? It depends on the country.
I'd be OK with just engine noise. The music is nice for intro or outro, but I prefer not for the whole flight. I love everything else about it. I can mute the music and make noise with my breath if needed. :D
Well, actually I do prefer music all the way. It's a refreshing difference to other channels. It's what makes hers unique. :-) I just sit back, relax, watch the view and read the overlays. Nice and calm. If I want to have cockpit and ATC sounds only, there's plenty of other options out there. ;-)
To each their own. As for me, I would rather have cockpit/instrument views and ATC/pilot interactions for a truly immersive video. If I want to hear music on these type of videos I can always turn the video volume off and play music I like from another source.
If you consider this your office then you have the nicest view of all the workplaces in the world!
I LOVE the little details...the moon 207,000 nautical miles! Only a really brilliant goof would note this!
Someone might clear up my confusion. Altitude is in feet, speed in knots, but then we get metrics. Why the mixture. Can't altitude be in meters? I understand (sort of) nautical miles, though that also could be in kilometers. Wonder if anyone ever proposed one system and the global industry just wasn't receptive. I totally understand "one language everywhere". No room whatever for misunderstanding in emergencies.
Oh Michelle, the captions are fabulous. They are informative without being intrusive. And the music is so soft and relaxing I fell asleep listening to it. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome! Not sure it was my intent to make people fall asleep though 🤣🤣
@@DutchPilotGirl I got into the same situation. I had to rewind the video a bit because I didn't catch part of it. Very pleasant, calm music!
Very good video! The overlays are helpful, so people can see what is happening or being done at that moment. Thanks for your high quality videos!
I agree except for falling asleep. ;-) I do like the music all the way. It's a refreshing difference to other channels. It's what makes Michelle's unique. :-) I just sit back, relax, watch the view and read the overlays. Nice and calm. If I want to have cockpit and ATC sounds only, there's plenty of other options out there.
Hey DutchPilotGirl, I felt I should come on here and just thank you for inspiring me, last month I got my Private pilot and currently knee deep in the IFR content going for my Commercial with the hopes of going into the regional. You inspired me to go for what I wanted from your first videos to your interview with Mentour and beyond, to just seeing how much more confident on video and speaking English your are now compared to when you started. Your 100K subscriber video you mention you hoped to inspire others to go for their hopes and dreams. Well you have, I wouldn't be a pilot now if I hadn't seen your channel first and now I'm enjoying my own sunsets in the sky. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for sharing this with me, you have no idea how much it means to me!! 😘 Good luck with the training and keep the wings level!
I dreamed of being a helicopterpilot when I was a boy.
That dream got spoiled by diabetes when I was eight years old. I just love your RUclips channel videos and all the information to all people that are training to become pilots.
Hi Michelle, I haven't been to The Caribbean Islands. I feel happy Michelle when you take off and landing successfully on Caribbean Islands by your flight BOEING 787. You can drive the flight very skillfully in the sky Michelle. I'm proud of you. You are my best pilot
Those views are breathtaking!!!
They definitely are!
This is "why we fly"... Absolute love for, high technology, physics, complex systems, optimized procedures, health, nature,..... life itself in all his aspects and manifestations! :) Thank you for sharing! Fly Safe!
Yes the aviation industry definitely is something else!
Indeed!
Hello Michelle. Love your channel. Thank you for taking us along with you, You are very gracious, Bruce🙂
Love the way you put graphic information and the notes in your videos. These videos are very pleasing to watch thanks for posting them.
Really beautiful video Michelle, perfect music to accompany the blissful & calm atmosphere. Your graphics are informative too without dominating the screen. Great work, looking forward to your next upload.
Thanks Julz!
Outstanding video. the screen overlays with captions were exquisite.
I'm totally amazed at her videos. Not sure if I see another aviation presence with all that detail!
And, another perfect landing. It’s a trademark of your style!
Studying for my final set of ATPL's right now. So far have first time passes thanks to your advice on this channel. Thanks again for all the content. Really keeping me motivated. All the best!
That so great to hear!! Good luck with the last ATPL exams!
Good luck with your exams! Are you purely focused on them right now or are you already looking for job openings?
2020 ATPL syllabus ?
same here, 6 down 8 to go, though I will do these 8 in 2 sessions want to keep my average percentage high. More for personal satisfaction than anything, I don't think airlines care that much about the average score of your atpls
@@thomaskessler9701 it's the old style syllabus so not the KSA.
As i'm going to become a pilot one day, u're my inspiration, thanks for being here and sharing your knowledge and experiences with others❤ loves from Poland 🇵🇱
Thank you for your kind words!😘
EYE AM VERY MUCH FOR THE DAY AND THE WEEK OF MY LIFE AND THE FAMILY
That touchdown was so smooth I couldn't tell exactly when it happened. I've landed 36 times this year and none were that perfect!! I'd be happy and fortunate to fly with her!! 🙏💛🥂
Such a wonderful and relaxing vid. Love ❤️ your graphics and music.
Thanks Roy! Appreciate you taking the time to comment 🤩
The 787 is literally my dream plane to fly. First the 737 max then after enough years experience i would be able to fly the dreamliner
Nice goal! Good luck 💪
Commercial airline pilot heavy jet, you so totally rock. You go girl !
Very apt music for the island of Aruba. Steel band music. Truly well made Michelle
Never been there but is amazing, nice weather also.
Usually the weather is great there! Very consistent as well unlike the Netherlands😅
Michelle, your video editing skills are phenomenal and this video was fantastic!!! I still remember my first flight aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It was 4 years on Virgin Atlantic's B787-9, G-VBOW, also known as the "Pearly Queen." I had a window seat and was blown away at how high the wing tip is! It was a memorable flight for an aviation enthusiast like I am!
Thanks John!! Really appreciate it! True the wings really bend really far during the flight!
Thank you maam. Reminded me of my days as a B 787 800 commander..just retired in Apr 2023 . God bless you and Happy Landings
Thank You for allowing me to live my dream. I felt my heart race with excitement as we approached the runway for landing in Aruba. I found myself trying to decipher all that wonderful information you posted onscreen. You can't imagine what your post means to me. Thank You again.
I enjoy watching your vedio although I'm not in the aviation but I always encourage my friends who want to be pilots to watch this vedio thank you for your inspirations
Your videos are very professional unlike others. I admire your skill and dedication. be safe.
We were there in February and plan two more trips this year. Wonderful diving. Lost two years to this Covid emergency - now time to make up for lost time.
Do we want more videos such as this? .... I think the thumbs up versus thumbs down says it very adequately. Thx for a nice ride!
this was so relaxing, thank you
Beautiful video and landing! This is the best series about commercial aviation I've seen.
FWIW: Flight levels are based upon readings of altimeters, which measure atmospheric pressure. A standard sea level value is 29.92 inches of mercury or 1013.25 millibars. Of course pressure varies but by setting altimeters to these standards all aircraft can fly safely at given altitudes.
In the US flight levels begin at 18,000 feet, the point at which the atmospheric pressure is considered to be half of what it is at the surface. Above that altitudes are reported in hundreds of feet, such as FL 240 = 24,000 feet above sea level. Below that pilots can get local altimeter settings.
Hallo. I was born and raised in AUA. Thanks for posting this video!!!
This was so AWESOME!! I took a cruise to Aruba and Curacao about 6 years ago and now to see it from this view was so cool! I can't believe I caught myself holding my breath when you were at 50', it was so real. You really know how to "Take us there". My favorite video of them all.😊
the most beautiful take off and landing i have ever watched and love the view in flight and its amazing that you makes so good vlogs of your flight and i like all the detailed descriptions in flight and before takeoff, keep it up Dutch girl Pilot you are a pretty Pilot Girl and i like you.
Glad to hear you like the video!
Lived in Bonaire and spent lots of time in Aruba and Curacao as well. I recall in December of '87 or '88 working for a company in Bonaire. Among our businesses was managing the oil and gas facilities of a Curacao company's Bonaire operations. This included supplying jet fuel to the airport. All went well for years until a Middle East sheikh showed up in December with his 737. The plane took off almost every day because the wives and kids needed to visit various locations near and far. Suddenly our jet fuel supply started reaching critically low levels and we had to arrange to have supplies brought in from Curacao ahead of schedule. If not there would have been a disaster at the airport.
Absolutely brilliant and spell binding video who in there right mind would not want 2 fly.with this pilot on a flight excellent
One of the smoothest landings I have seen. I literally could not tell when you touched down. Kudos. Great videos. Highly informative, a lot of work has gone into them. We spent a day on Aruba about 20 years ago, came on cruise ship, drove with a couple we met on the ship around the entire perimeter of the island. Lovely island. We also spent a day on St. Lucia, swam on lovely beach, also Curaco, Grenada. One of my favorite pictures was in market on Granada, school kids coming from school, gawking at my wife, who is six feet tall.
Beautiful and very interesting! It seems like everything appears in super slow motion when you fly! Most organised and professional! I thank you for posting! :)
When I saw the moon I thought I'll bet she mentions it, and boom you do. Love it.
Just a pleasant flight great take off and landing good job DutchPilotGirl
Wonderful video, Michelle! Animations are awesome. I would like to see more of that, maybe with ATC, but not essential.
Thanks Frank! Will try to make more!
FANTASTIC SCENERY:
HI Michelle, your are a diamond, thankyou for letting us see what goes on in the cockpit during a flight, we take these things for granted, trusting every pilots skills .
Good content, would love to see a difficult landing, respecting you pilots more.
Take care, safe flights.
Thanks William!
Meisje you have this figured out, this is amazing to watch!
Have enjoyed several of your videos. You are very skilled at smooth, soft landings every time. Love listening to your accent!
Absolutely gorgeous video. So aesthetically pleasing, so informative and technical at the same time. This goes for all you’re in flight videos. Great work! Aviation enthusiasts should really subscribe for great content! Thank you!
I’ve traveled to Dominican Republic , Puerto Rico in the Bahamas although I find they all have there own special uniqueness it’s hard to say where one shines more then the other .
FANTASTIC !! Specially with all those extra details you are giving. I enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you.
A very slick video with the on screen graphics
Glad you like it Jaimee!
Always on time for Dutchpilotgirl videos ❤️
Appreciate it haha!
Michelle, the video editing, music and captions are superb! Love your videos, especially these.
Thanks you for your kind words!
Wow what a video! Its my dream to be a pilot 👨✈️! I just started my PPL theory. Cant wait to begin flying✈️
Good luck with your training!
My wife and I have been to Aruba twice and loved it. We stayed in a very small local hotel hoping to see more Arubans than fellow Americans. We even looked at few houses that were for sale, but then reality broke in and ended that idea. We went on a company sponsored trip to the US Virgin Islands, but except for the beaches and sunshine we might as well stayed home.
When I was in high school in Ontario my room mate was from Curacao, but this was before the 747 changed air travel, so he stayed at the school during holidays while I took a steam train (one short leg to the US border, diesels elsewhere) home. He did go home for the Christmas break and came back very tanned.
Please don't change anything about your videos, they are unique. There are plenty of others on RUclips with ATC conversations, engine noises and instruments.
Thank you.
Im currently getting my private pilot license. I am scheduled for my check ride in the upcoming week! Your videos are what excite me for the future to come. I love hearing the communication between pilots and ATC because it’s something I personally can relate to and learn from. Appreciate all the content you dedicate time into. Wishing you a great day and clear skies!
Good luck with your training and upcoming check ride Olivia!
You're my inspiration since day 1!
Thank you for your kind words!
Take off, landing, cockpit shots. That is all we want.
Woah, the production quality on the motion graphics is lit. Impressive for this kind of content!
Hi Michelle, you made a fantastic video! It was a very pleasant surprise that you have a type rating for 787 also. It really gives more chances for seeing more parts of the World!
I personally would be pleased for hearing the real cockpit life like talks between the pilot's, ATC communication, MCDU adjustments, etc. ( Sorry for the MCDU, but I am an Airbus guy 😞)
Wow! Everything about this video is beautiful! I haven't seen your videos in a while and I have to say you have improved a lot. Now you talk better English and you seem more confident. Also, you fly the 787? That's a beautiful ✈ flown by a beautiful pilot in the beautiful Caribbean. Love it!
😊 Her things are about love this section that you did I just ran across it I have been studying lightly on pilots and how they do things this is one of the most informative ones in a practical sense hope you keep up doing stuff like this if you can and you have a wonderful day and I hope it finds this message finds you well
thank you very enjoyable especially me being disabled it makes life worth living. a+
This is truly some inspiring and incredible editing on that touchdown! If I could, I would be doing this all day but I don’t know how to😂
Just flew that exact route in Microsoft Flight Sim, while watching the video. Flew above that small island (point TNCC), pretty cool
Hope you managed to land safely!
Darned if she's still my favorite pilot ever.
Woauh that was beautiful
It's interesting that in this day and age when, in the world of science and technology where conformity to the SI system is regarded as the way forward, aviation can still bounce around from miles to feet to kilometres to metres to nautical miles. I'm guessing that is largely down to the internationalism of aviation, and the fact that not everywhere employs the metric system. Great to have your traditional piece of music for the final approach. I find these approach and landing videos very soothing - I'm guessing you're not quite so relaxed in the pilot seat. Thanks for posting.
Yeah. I notice FLs instead of meters. I'm used to it in the US, but not for foreign vids.
Stunning and incredible video! I’m lucky and blessed to be in this industry and travel often. The views from the sky are like no other! Your videos are always informative. B737-700?
Thanks Kyle! This is a B787-9 😏
@@DutchPilotGirl wow! My fave. Beautiful plane! Congrats!
That was amazing!!!! I love seeing my fellow women in positions society has deemed “for men”!! Break the ceiling ladies!!
Ya got me! I’ve watched a few of your videos before, but this one REALLY got me! I am now a subscriber. I love to cook dinner for my wonderful wife and myself. I ALWAYS put on some nice music that I find on you tube while I do it. I just happened onto this video while I was getting ready to start tonight’s dinner. This music is perfect! Thanks so much! Will be watching from now on.
HI…The scenery is beautiful, having captained motoryachts in the Caribbean, I would love to see cockpit shots and maybe ATC etc….Like to watch you work!! Thank you!!! Peace…….
Hi Michelle!!!! I didn’t know you were type-rated on the 787. I thought you were still flying the 737! Since when did you make that change and also, how many hours did you put into making this video? Thank you for this, it is very well done. 👍 ❤️
yes, gratulations! 787 type-rating done during covid-19 phase? I would really enjoy a video about your latest "job" upgrade 😃👋
The bigger and more advanced the Aircraft the easier they are to fly from what I hear..
@@nicknocturnal652 well yes, but no
Much prefer pilot/atc voice overlay. Music is fine but not in the cockpit.
Doing great, DutchPilotGirl!
Wonderful visual.seeing from the flight deck is superb....Thank you very much Ms...
Today I came to know that even the Glass which is made for aircrafts has minute scratches on it.
By the way, the scenery was amazing and it was a great video. 😀
Thank you.
Most of the scratches are on the inside of the window though... Pilots place all kinds of stuff on the glareshield 😉
Those scratches had me cleaning my monitor on the video from the landing at Bonaire!
Do you fly the boeing 787?
I was questioning the same
Congratulations. That was a wonderful 👍 flight.
It is Sunday afternoon and I was sitting on my front porch watching your video. Thank you and may all your flights be safe and happy.
Exceptional episode, Ms Gooris! Great soundtrack. You look to be in the left seat of a 787! You are obviously an amazing pilot. 😊
another great video!!
Thanks Johna! 😏 💪
Amazing video dutchpilotgirl. I really like to see how all the information like flight plans is used by the pilots.
How do you decide how much flaps you give at take off?
Thanks Sven! We decide the amount of flaps based on performance calculations. Weight, runway length, temperature etc.
Love the overlays and heads up display of data
You can be my instructor any day, you fly while I watch you fly!! Appreciate the courage the share this with many aviation enthusiasts Danke schuun
Great video, love the production value! Oddly, I never knew that Aruba was part of the Netherlands ... even tho I work for a large Dutch company. I learned something today LOL
Great video! Love the graphic info & style. As a non-pilot I find it easier to follow the procedures, kind of like sub-titles. Did you get type rated on the 787?
Hi Gerald, thanks! Still flying the 737 😉
Best Island in the Caribbean, nice people, climate and weather.Hello from one happy island
Agreed, Bonaire is a very nice spot to dive. Some good spots to shore dive.
I have been to all tree islands, so I loved this vid. ❤️❤️❤️ However, one little comment: Willemstad is actually a couple of miles more to the west than you indicated. But that's just a minor detail 😏 And I would love to see a landing on Hato.
Would like to see more of the interior of the cockpit especially a 787
Maybe next time! It's difficult to film both the inside and outside view (with proper exposure) at the same time.
@@DutchPilotGirl I get that. Thanks for your reply and stay safe

Fantastic views. Thanks for the video and detailed info at each step in the flight. Will try to replicate this in MSFS2020. 😊👍
