I finally got curious and looked up the Angela Vickers reference a while back: she's a character in the 1951 movie "A Place in the Sun," about a man torn between two women from different class backgrounds. I don't see a lot of people mention this so I thought I should share it.
she's always done her own thing, when Settle Down came out, it was vastly different to anything else happening in New Zealand music at the time...she dipped her toe into pop music for a while, but only for a while...Top of the World is a song from that period, it's catchy but it's still Kimbra...I saw Anna in the background, you got the dance down in no time...boom ba boom ba 👏👏👏👏😄
I'm not the only one in the northerm hemisphere who loves her! She is original and absolutely amazing! I also love good intent, cameo lover and many more!
This was kinda cool, almost with a 40’s feel. Good things come in small packages, also proven by Josh Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet, who is only about 5’ 5” and packs a lot of punch in his vocal range😉. Nice arrangement!
I kinda like this song... it's out there at the border of my musical spectrum though. Never heard of her before. I'd listen to it but maby not my first choice on my playlist.
