After an amazing week at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, we moved onto another resort people have highly recommended to us - Sensatori Punta Cana part of the Karisma Luxury brand.
In this episode we will introduce you to our new swim up room and parts of the resort around the beach etc. We go for a real treat to the Lobster Restaurant and compete in a game of Pool.

I'm on a looking at resorts spree on youtube lol, I've got the itch to book with summer around the corner. I try to go once a year to all inclusives, I love them, this one looks amazing that room right onto the pool and the bar right there is awesome. The only knock I have about Punta Cana is the beaches seem to be full of seaweed and brown these days, I was there in 2018. Cuba has amazing beaches but the resorts don't tend to be as nice as Punta Cana.

If you're asking about a resort in Punta Cana? Then, both Sensatori and Hard Rock are great, however Hard Rock is one of a kind if you're willing to stretch your budget quite a bit. On the other hand, Sensatori is good value for money and next door is Nickelodeon hotel which has kiddy facilities, with additional costs you can use their facilities.

What times do the pools close? Is there a certain time people have to be out of the pool? Or can you swim all night
When we were there, they closed it around 9pm to to clean it with chemicals.

May I ask if you were able to swim in your private areas after hours? Stayed at another secrets location, which prohibited swimming after 8pm.
No unfortunately as after 9ish they add chemicals to clean out the pools.
Hey! I’m looking at booking this place for September it looks unreal! Just wondering if you don’t mind me asking, for the swim up room did you pay any extra or was it just requested in advance? Trying to find an option on TUI but it’s not coming up 😞
Rachel Elizabeth hey, I’ve just booked a holiday here for June next year. When I was booking it gave me the option of choosing which room I wanted so we changed it from the standard double room to luxury adults area swim up room. Think it cost £192 extra to change the room to this one but you can do it all online through TUI. If it’s not coming up for you on the website then maybe there’s no more of those rooms available for when you want to go?
Hi Rachel, hoping you’re well and apologies for the delayed response! We got the room on upgrade upon arrival (we got lucky!) - but yes there is an additional cost. Try and contact Sensatori directly and request for Carlos Espinosa. Carlos was very helpful, and if he’s around no doubt he’ll try his best to assist you. Hoping you have a fab hol!!😊👍🏼

what times did you get the sun? we have booked a swimup room in the adults only area and want a room which gets plenty of sun, dont mind if it's only AM or PM aslong as we know which one so we can go to the main pool at the other time, thanks.
Hi, we went to Sensatori early November. We woke up at 7am and it was very bright and sunny. Sunset (from what we recall) was between 6pm - 7pm. Hope that's helpful and hope you have a great time!

Hi, as far as we remember and the period we visited I think it was up until 7pm / 8pm. Apologies we can't remember exactly 🙄. Hope you have a great time, if you're heading out there 👍😎🌞⛱

DiamondEyez121 Thank you. This particular hotel is exclusive to Thomsons long haul from the UK and a friend told us it's also available through the Karisma Luxury resorts from elsewhere. If you would like a corner swim up, you can speak to the General Manager Carlos Espinoza who can help you with that. He is really nice. Hope that helps

Hi can I ask is this the adult only honeymoon suite ?
As we have booked with Thompson for next year we booked the swim up honeymoon suite in the adult only area it was the most expensive upgrade , but seems like you get more in the premium big which is best adult only area or premium area ? If you could help that would be great.

We were told our room was a corner swim up. Unfortunately, we're unsure whether it's a honeymoon suite. Apologies. Feel free to give Thompson's a call and ask them to talk through all the types of rooms avail. Our room number was 8102. Hope you have a great holiday 😊
Apologies for the delay in responding as we just saw this. If you've already booked the honeymoon suite then you should be good, as although we've not stayed there, other guests mentioned it was awesome. This room was great value. However, we believe if it's your honeymoon then going all out in the Honeymoon suite would be a great choice.
Do you have to put extra for the cafe that does tea and croissants, or is it included in full-board?
Hi, no you don't have to pay extra for the cafe or for any of the other restaurants, it's all inclusive. Hope that helps!

Which hotel was this again? Because I'm planning on going to the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar and I want a swim up but i think this is a different hotel based on the video and I think I would prefer this one lol

+Mark Flanigan Hi, this was a corner side swim up room which are quite hard to get hold of, but if you request in advance then should be fine. It's a great resort, nice & calm so hope you have an awesome getaway! If you need anything else, just give us a shout.

Hi, we got sun both in the morning and afternoon. As you'll see in our other vlogs, we went to the gym early morning and it was boxing and we went for lunch late afternoon still very sunny. Hope you have a terrific time!

Hi, this was a corner swim up room, and we didn't have to upgrade. Pls feel free to ask them at reception to have a room close to the bar, I'm sure they'll try and assist as much as they can. Goodluck 👍

Thoughts on food, and catering, as well as outside restaurants
No, I'm afraid not. However, there is a variety of seafood and vegetarian options in the resort. I'm afraid we didn't explore the area around Sensatori for food so can't comment, as we only went out for excursions and most of our stay was in the Hard Rock Resort.

Which hotel did you think was better the hard rock or the sensatori
Although Sensatori was nice, however Hard Rock was completely unique, and one our favourites to date. Pls note Hard Rock is slightly more than double the price difference.

It does look amazing but the hard rock is a bit out of budget unfortunately, it’s really expensive! For the sensatori part, how nice was it? Or would you have tried a different hotel in the Dominican if you went back (apart from hard rock)? Thanks
@@adamwilson5845 Hi Adam, apologies for the tardy response! Agree with you Hard Rock is on the expensive side. Sensatori on the other hand was still lovely... Rooms are nice, clean and spacious, food was great too, staff there are super friendly and we loved the burger place for sure! It depends on what you're after, to go honest. All in all, Sensatori was good, and if you decide to go - we're sure you'll have a good time. We didn't visit other hotels whilst out there so can't really comment. Hope that was helpful 🤗
