I've stayed at 17 Punta Cana All-Inclusive resorts in the last 18 months, and I never prioritized the Lopesan Resort because it never stood-out to me because it was priced so affordably, so I never anticipated Lopesan to be such an awesome hotel!
As the name implies, Lopesan Costa Bavaro is an all-inclusive resort located in the Bavaro area of Punta Cana. The Bavaro region is the most electric and exciting area in Punta Cana - it is known for having some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world and exciting nightlife. Plus, Lopesan Bavaro is relatively close to the Punta Cana Airport.

Very nice hotel. The property is beautiful. Take lots of pics. Our room was a swim up pool across from the adult only pool. The breakfast buffet has delicious fresh tropical fruits. The infinity pool was awesome and not crowded. Can’t wait to visit again.

Now you review the Lopesan!! I stalked your page for a review of the Lopesan for a month prior to my DR visit. I just returned from being there June 23-29th. Your review is spot on. I'll be returning as I truly loved my entire visit, my Butlers service (Andres) was impeccable, the food at the Unique Beach Club was great and I enjoyed the animation team events. I didn't have any issues with my Unique room (3074) although I've heard others complain of minor issues. I will be returning hopefully in March.
I enjoy your reviews. You always talk about the exact things I am looking for. Great job. My husband and I are in our early sixties, and your videos have spared us some costly mistakes, and also showed us some wonderful options we may have missed. One thing, I would love to see in your videos, is a quick statement as to whether the room buildings have elevators. I know when your young this isnt even a thought, and when we were it wasnt either. We know that most of the newer resorts do have them, however, some of the older properties, even the renovated ones do not. So if you think of it, it would be awesome to know. Keep up the good work.

Another great review! Your style of filming brings me right to the resort and I always appreciate your insight. I've had Lopesan on the bucket list but kept seeing negative reviews about room malfunctions (lighting, toilet, A/C, etc.) With that said, your tour has all but confirmed that Lopesan may be one of the most gorgeous (and underrated) properties in the DR. I'm loking forward to your reviews of Finest & El Carmen as my fiance and I had amazing times at both and love the Excellence brand.
Exactly why I never trust TripAdvisor. If I would and did, I would have never uncovered the absolute gems that I have.

It was very nice. The resort is massive! Bring walking shoes. It was very relaxing. Not a party resort at all if that’s what you’re looking for. French restaurant was the best

Totally agree with your review. I've been there for 2 weeks in June and loved it. We booked Unique and it was worth it. The Unique buffet and the bar are amazing. The A/C in our room worked very well. The food in the a la carte restaurants was very good. There is so many entertainment options (escape room, axe throwing, bowling, videogames... they have 2 PS5 in the teens club). Do not hesitate and book immediately!
Lopesan's popularity is rapidly growing - I now see why... Price aside, it's one of the best in Punta Cana. The fact that I paid $300/night makes it one of the best value luxury properties in the Caribbean.
Unique buffet was better buy far from amazing and everyday the same....but yes happy to réservé Unique to have a quiet breakfast and lunch by the beach
I'm concerned about the a/c in the rooms not being cold. We're booked for next month. Is this true ??

Just back from a week here. We had an amazing time. Property is beautiful and even more so at night. Our room was excellent and very clean. Our meals at the restaurants were all great. Staff is very friendly. The property is huge so lots of walking it was not a problem for us. Pools were great and you should be able to find a scene that you are wanting. A few negatives, lots of boat traffic in the ocean which was entertaining to watch but may not be for everyone, buffet was a bit hit or miss but nothing major. Checkin was a little bumpy but again nothing major. Overall a great spot that we would definitely go back to.

Yo Mark! Elegance is one of the best values - you get so much for your money. Lopesan takes that to the next level. I think you would really enjoy it.
@@CoolistYou know I love your reviews BUT you undersold the family aspect here.This is a premium family resort that tries to masquerade as if it has an adult component. I am sticking with Majestic Elegance for now given it makes a clear separation. We were 5 adults, three rooms and spent 7 nights. The tricky thing about Lopesan is its "majestic elegance". Exceptionally clean and it really makes you think this is an adult resort with the spectacular upscale facilities and infrastructure as well as a tranquil vibe in the rooms BUT it doesnt leverage what it has. I found the entertainment really weak (day and night) This night club was closed 3 nights! Yes - spectacular 10 star gym, theatre and coffee shop but you are tripping over families - especially in the restaurants. A nice Brit Pub and Sport Bar but no food?? Restaurants are good (French is the best) and the buffet is consistently good. Thank goodness for an adult section at the buffet. I can see the appeal of this resort but by day 3 it was clear this place was focused more on families. It was a battle at times just to get a drink and they were often served in 6 ounce flimsy plastic cups. I was missing the Republica!

@@xxdiezelmikexxdiezel88 correct. No pool bar. This is not an particularly good adult resort. It has an amazing gym, decent food and impressive grounds as well as architecture but at the end of the day: the beach is lack (too many boats) and too many kids with minimal entertainment.

Nice review. I'm looking for a property to book now for myself and my parents. Everything seems nice here except the isolation. We really enjoyed Hard Rock punta Cana a few years back however we heard they have gone downhill. The reviews are bad now. But at Lopesan, There's no people. It's dead. I wonder if they at least have a foam party. But then again, without people what's the point, lol.....And imagine paying for the "Unique Area" which is more private, lol. I imagine It would be Literally just my family and the staff.
I haven't stayed at Lopesan yet but I have stayed right next door at the Melia. The beach is very nice but there are a LOT of boats parked in front of the shopping area between the Melia and Lopesan and directly in front of Lopesan so it can be quite noisy and a lot of exhaust fumes. The Melia beach is much wider than Lopesan so you can get away from the boats but not so much at Lopesan

great video. last year i went to the Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is also an amazing resort. I think is up there with Lopesan. But the Hyatt is more lay back..

You need to seriously check out the La Romana/Bayahibe area. It’s considered the rich area of the Dominican Republic. There is many great resorts and hotels one of my favorites is the Iberostar hacienda Demedicis

We stayed here late February, early March. The water temperature was perfect and I’ve never been in waters that calm.
The Mexican restaurant is amazing, you missed out.
This is a very large resort. If mobility is an issue ask to be near the restaurants and boulevard.
I really miss the coffee shop, so good.

My husband and I have booked this hotel for November to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I have been worried to go because Lopesan gets many mixed reviews particularly around service. When looking for where to book I looked at many of your other PC hotel reviews, and know that you are discerning. I was worried when I saw that you have now reviewed Lopesan it might confirm some of the bad reviews. However, after seeing your review I am now incredibly excited to be going. So glad you loved the place. My fears are put to rest.
its wonderful. the place is so clean its unbelievable...not rowdy, not loud, everyone is polite...
Went there last week. lovely lovely lovely AI resort. I did a unique swim up but barely used it because the pool was wonderful. never overcrowded. the only thing that was kind of "annoying" was that they cater to mainly Europeans. so me coming from nyc, there was a language barrier. sometimes they (pool waitress) didn't know name of some alcoholic drinks, so it would come back wrong. buffets were clean and never lacking. lots of assortment and all tasted great!
Love your video's. I noticed there is no swim up bar. How was the animation team around the pool? Any foam parties? What activities where around the pool? Going with a couple of teenagers in Feb/Mar 24 and want them to keep occupied.

The Resort is super cool !! I am going on that beach twice a year for the last 8 years !! the only downsize is the front beach too busy full of boats!!
Just got back from Lopesan. July 15, 2024.
This place is top notch.
Unique section is the way to go.
Food, drink, service is all amazing.
Property is well maintained with no seaweed. Next door however is a different story.
Expect to walk quit a bit but it’s cardio and burns calories.
Pools and bars have awesome service and drinks.
10/10.
It compares to and in some aspects swims out over other resorts like Mirage.
Will use this as a go to spot from now on.
Hi! You are correct! We stayed here in march on Unique and we loved it. The downside for us was that all the pools were freezing cold. Not a single jacuzzi even in the SPA.

Ive been watching all of your videos on Punta Cana, love your content, keep it up!! I was wondering if you could recommend a resort something that is all inclusive, that doesn't make you pay for room service, as you mentioned in one of your videos.. that is chill, meaning not 24/7 partying but still has something going on occasionally, with decent food, and overly priced. Can't wait to see what you think of Finest Punta Cana. We stayed at Excellence Punta, Excellence El Carmen and Finest last month. 4 days each. The adult side of Finest was our favorite. Excellence Club private pool suit was beautiful.

By far the nicest resort i have been to. Its brand new the food is good and the premium drinks are amazing. I went right when it had opened so the crowd was a little calm but this resort has so much potential. I would highly recommend this but it is on the more pricey side

Price depends on so many factors: seasonality, demand, week/weekend, number of nights, and many more.
I paid $300/night (one person). Affordability is a relative concept, but for a hotel of this caliber, that is a steal. They could easily charge 25-35% above their current rates.
@Coolist Considering Excellence Playa Mujeres runs $500+ year-round now, this one does seem like a bargain. Absolutely love PM Excellence so this is on my shortlist. Thanks again for review!

I have been struggling to find the right place bc we are going with some friends that are single and some that are married and it’s my husbands 40th and this place seems to have the right mixture of everything. Bc of this video we are now going to go here instead of the majestic mirage.
Thank you so much for your review of Lopesan Costa Bavaro- partially due to this review, we chose it as our vacation destination this winter; we got back a week ago. As you stated many times, the facility is *amazing*, possibly the nicest architecture, beach, layout, room, etc of any of the resorts we've been to (over 10, not sure exact count, between DR and Mexico).
..The one thing I'd like to emphasize and add to is the "inconsistent" food, i.e. getting the same dish but it's totally different quality each time. That was our experience, but more on the "it isn't good at all" side of things. The food alone would keep me from recommending this resort to anyone, unless something is drastically changed. I believe we had *one* good meal, and it was at a standard table at the hibachi restaurant. There were a lot of full plates sent back to the kitchen. Really sad. Good news is there wasn't much weight gained on vacation! LOL.
Looking forward to your review of Finest - we're going there September. But it was a toss up between Finest and Lopesan
