Jason Weaver opened up to VladTV about getting his start in the entertainment business after doing commercial work with Burrell Communications ad agency in Chicago. Jason explained that Burrell was a starting point for a lot of stars, including Carl Weathers and Minnie Ripperton. He went on to speak about acting in The Long Walk Home with Whoopi Goldberg, Brewster Place with Oprah Winfrey, and playing Michael Jackson in The Jacksons: An American Dream miniseries.
While speaking about the Jackson family miniseries, Jason explained that the family had a big hand in telling the story, and he revealed that Michael handpicked him to play the younger version of himself. To hear more, including Janet and 2Pac visiting the set, hit the above clip.

I vaguely remember the ABC promos for the Jackson movie. I was a small kid, but knew that this was a BIG deal. I love hearing the behind the scenes stories now because this movie was a HUGE part of my childhood. Michael, I think, for so many people was like a family member.
