I have a Dell Dimension 3000 it's not showing a pitcher on the monitor so I googled it so tell me if this is the problem so I can get a pitcher Baroni701 The 3000, has no AGP or PCIe slot, you need to buy a PCI graphics card. The 3000 troubleshooter is here BEV ??? Another thing I pulled up on google is change the Hard Drive and Dvd Drive or change the TFT and 1 CRT or the HDD but what will be the simplest thing for me to do to get pitcher and the Tower comes on ???
my father gave me his back in 2014 i tried to fix it up and the motherboard was broken it showed text that was jumbled and (smiley faces?) so yeah im sad i still have it i had so many good memories on that machine we had it since i was 4
In the BIOS leave the CPU speed on “Normal”. The other compatibility mode slows the CPU down for older hardware (I think). And by all means, repaste the CPU! If I remember from the Dimension 4300 that I had, the heatsink is held on by two strips of metal that arch up. Push one strip down in the middle and then pull the green plastic; repeat for the other side. I know you can figure it out!
My brother had one, but it was a 2.4ghz Celeron, and it was upgraded to the max amount of ram (2gb), and had a different brand cpu cooling fan. And the northbridge had a different looking heatsink. Had a 40 gig Seagate Barracuda that is still running today.
Those green cpu heatsink clips are extremely easy to remove without breaking them. There are a few RUclips videos showing how to do it. I've been dealing with them for over 10 years and have never had one break yet.
cee128d ya I had to take one apart for my college course for IT. Never seen it before but I figured it out in like 15secs. But the dried up compound will rip the cpu out with the cpu attached to the heat sink. Didn't harm the socket put it back together an it all worked got an a+ for that lab.
+m41c0ml1n3 Run the computer at full load for about 10 or 15 minutes to heat it up, then remove the heatsink. Twist it as much as possible to break the suction first though. Heating it up will soften the compound, often times enough that it won't pull the cpu out.
I have three of these at home right now, one personal PC: P4 2.80Ghz 120 GB SSD and 2 GB RAM and two other PCs rescued from a thrift store. Not quite as dirty as shown in this video but I did a good job cleaning them out and maxing out the RAM on both, removing the personal info and post them on eBay next week. Thanks for the look into the most inexpensive Dell Dimension 3000 found anywhere. Oh, I also had a Dell Inspiron 530S (another thrift store find), that one found a good home 8-).
I have a dimension 3000 that came with a Celeron D 2.40ghz, 256mb DDR400, and a 40gb western digital hdd. I upgraded it to a Pentium 4 HT 3ghz, 2gb DDR, a 8400gs 512mb and a 80gb 2.5in hard drive via a sata controller
Hi how did you get Linux on the dell?i I tried to boot into Ubuntu and Linux lite but my dell dimension 4500 won't boot from usb. Any tips? I can't boot from floppy disk and I think my disk reader is a bit messed up
I think compatibility mode is similar in function to the turbo button. If I remember correctly, back in the Windows 2K/XP side by side days, you would need to set a computer to compatibility mode in all applicable areas for best backwards compatibility towards a 9X OS (and as we all know, 2K is a 9X OS). On my Z97 Asrock Extreme 4 motherboard custom PC, there is a BIOS option for OS compatibility mode in several places or legacy mode in others.
That's CLEAN compared to some I have gotten from school auctions. It's pretty obvious when a system was used in a shop/garage ;-) Invest in a decent air compressor, if you don't have one already. The first thing I try to do before even bringing a system into the house is blow it out on the driveway.
Just inherited one of these. Was planning on getting rid of most components and just using the case to build a machine. Good idea or should i get a different case to handle modern components? And yeah realise buying is cheaper than building for low/mid end, it's just a wee side project.
I preferred the Dimension 82x0/8300/8400 design over the design of the lower end models. I had an 8300 years ago. It was ahead of it's time. Upgradable to 4GB of RAM (I think I had 1GB), 160GB SATA (not many computers had these in 2004) HDD, a 3.2 GHz Northwood Pentium 4 HT, and a Radeon 9800.
still got my 80gb maxtor hd from dele dimension 8200 works perfect still fully hd health jsut over heating problem and had it since 2001 and i also got maxtor 40gb hd
I really want to start buying old, cheap computers at garage sales and computer recyclers to make myself a Beowulf cluster for computing, because that would be awesome.
Hello, I really want to build a sleeper pc out of this case, and there aren't much info about this specific model. Do you remember if the motherboard mounts are standard standoffs, and would a standard M-ATX motherboard and PSU fit in this case? I'm sure the front panel switch will be propriatary, and would need to map the wiring for the power on switch.
My aunt gave me her dell deminsion 3000 and it wasn't dirty or dusty at all nor where any of the capacitors bloated or anything. I got all the accessories and software that came with it when it was new, including a dell printer that was bought alongside it. It has a 3.0 ghz Pentium 4, 2 gigs of ram, and a 80 gig Seagate hdd which is the original drive. Soon im planning on installing a graphics card in it so i can play some games, just gotta track down a pci graphics card first.
2 gigs is the maximum amount of ram these old dell dimensions can be upgraded to. Besides my plans for this system is turning it into a vintage gaming PC. I already have two gaming PC'S so installing Windows 10 is utterly pointless.
Well yeah, its a Pentium 4 for crying out loud. Lol. Only thing they're good for is generating crazy amounts of heat. Pentium 4 computers just aren't worth saving nowadays, especially since you can get a core 2 duo system for dirt cheap. Only reason I'm keeping this computer around is because I used to play on it all the time when I would stay at my aunt's house.
i have a maxtor diamond max and i was copying data of it and i didn't have a spare dell hdd sled and it only had sata in the hdd section so i had to use molex from my dvd drive so i had to have it on top of my case and it was rattling really loud and slowly vibrating of the top of my case
I saw worst front panel dust on an old Dell Optiplex GX1p and that was only because I accidentally broke it by dropping it on the side when trying to move it. I mean it still stuck on, but it would slide off eventually. I’m surprised that shit even worked, still.
I have just acquired one of these and it will not boot up I have replaced the battery still no boot. When I press the power but I gets a distinct interrupted buzzing spindly. If you are still available do you have any idea what is going on Robert
Oh god, I have a couple of these! I have 3x Dell Dimension 3000 and 1x Dimension 2600. Also have a LEGENDARY Dimension 8200. All of them have a Pentium IV. Wonderful stuff.
I've cleaned up plenty of these! the whole series that used this chassis.. Micro ATX.... I had to break the unit totally down, clean and check the ODD and the MB...... after I tear the system totally down, I take the chassis and wash it down in my Bathtub.... then I clean the fans, motherboard and power supply.... the power supply had an extra jack on it for the SATA power jacks, which I had to order off EBAY.... IF the MB supported SATA I would upgrade the hard drive and Order another hard drive cage and add a second hard drive. I also would add a second ODD for disc duplication.... because these units were all old P4 systems, I pretty much would put LInux on it and try to sell them.... which is hard now..... thanks to cell phones and tablets.... but over all, these were really nice starter systems. they all seemed to accept up to 2GB of memory and they would work pretty well.... but because of the age, they didn't like Windows 10 and just outlived they're usefulness....
I have a computer exactly like this, I've used it my whole life until 2012. Still, use it for DOS Gaming. But mine is way dustier than yours. I can't bring my self to clean it though. And what sucks is my friend ripped the Windows XP tag off it awhile ago.
I have one, but it has a Pentium 4 that I think runs at 2.8GHz. Plan on upgrading from 256MB of RAM to 2GB of RAM, and possibly attempting to install Windows 10 on it (currently has XP Pro SP3).
I know it is a really old 775 mobo, but have you looked into what other cpu's it could run? Possibly swap in a dirt cheap core 2 duo/quad, or experiment with a xenon 771?
hello I have a pc like or better with blue screen pop can you turn this into a gaming rig to stream and play games like battlegrounds or is just not worth the time
Good find, I picked up a Dell OptiPlex 755 for free today! It works, has the hard drive and Windows XP! I think it was a great find, but it seems to have been used as a server; the HDD has over 53,000 hours on it and it was only turned on 74 times. Wow. Great find though and keep up the good work with the videos! Looking forward to the new mic!
+cjyou1000 use the program called Crystal Disk Info. It is available freely online. I find it very handy, as it has told me when my drive was going on a different OptiPlex.
I have one just like it, only with a P4 CPU and 1Gb DDR2 memory, and a AGP slot with a video card in it. I'm going to install the latest Lubuntu on it.
I just started watching your videos but I like them. I stopped trying to keep up with the Jones' as it was costing me a fortune. I do like trying to get bargains now as it works out better value.
Woah, is that Celeron passively cooled? I remember my Grandpa's old computer being like that, but I have it in storage. I'll have to dig it out and look at it. That's out of the ordinary...

I have two of these. one of them keeps shutting off.. I thought it was a bad power supply.. but the two plastic lips holding down the cpu sinc broke, causing it to fall off, so I'm guessing that the computer malfunctions and thinks that it is over heating... and turns itself off? Please help me with this, I have ALOT of old family pictures on there.
Sorry for replying 2 years late. But we’re the clips green or black? If the clips were black you will need a new bracket to hold the heatsync in place. But even still the computer should still run for several minutes without one. Whitch makes me doubt it is a cooling issue. Try making sure everything that is either clipped or cockeyed in is making good contact by first removing and reattaching all the plugins for the power supply. If that doesn’t solve your issue please reply back to me.
the Datech fan is the worst of them. eugh. the bearings wear out faster than all the rest. the Nidecs are the longest lasting ones and will last the test of time for years to come. the PSU is one of the Dell-rebranded HiPro or Delta supplies, so that much is decent. Friend of mine in the telecom industry in western PA calls them the "Dell supplies that never die." this is one of the newer board revisions with solid caps from slightly after the cap plague issues-- no AGP, only two RAM slots. they were built to use up what was left of the massive stock of cases they made for these style of case and sold them VERY cheaply. the RAM speed is directly affected by the CPU bus speed. the machine and the integrated graphics will directly benefit from having another stick of RAM, since it's only in single-channel mode with the single stick. if you can find some 1GB sticks, you're good. a similarly-specced dimension 2350 is what I used at a friend's with a PCI FX5200 for playing GTA San Andreas on back in 2008. but that was a Northwood non-HT P4 2.66. decent, but still slow by today's standards.
RogerRHF the fun one for the 2350s is an 8400GS or above. I have a 9400GT 512MB and a GT520 1GB PCI card and have used both in a slightly newer machine-- amazingly, it can decode HD video just fine. with that card and 2 gigs, Win7 runs just peachy, as do most older games.
I actually have Windows 7 on this machine, it's not fast but it still gets the job done. I had an 8500GT PCI in the machine but it recently developed bad memory so I had to put back the original FX5200.
Subscribed, find your videos very entertaining. Like your positivity. Glad I'm not the only one saving computers from landfill! Cleaned up and put Xubuntu on an almost identical machine (except P4 2.8Ghz and different HDD, sweet). There was even more dust on it - wish I'd taken a photo to show! An even bigger wad fell out the front! Gross!!! (Having only the CPU/exhaust fan out back drawing air through from front of case causes negative pressure inside drawing more dust inside, I think. Better to have positive pressure with more fans drawing air in than blowing out.) It had the Datec fan and I'm glad to read from Sudos above, that's the good one, and the PSUs are good, so it will keep going, I did oil the fan to help. Had hard time also, getting the green plastic clips off the CPU heatsink! One was bent (melted!) so I removed them and didn't put them back in after replacing thermal paste. RE: onboard video. I did add more Ram up to 2 x 512Mb. I checked in the Windows XP Intel onboard video INTEL(R) EXTREME GRAPHICS 2 REPORT and no matter how much or how little ram was put in, the graphics memory remained at a minimum of 8mb up to 96mb. The minimum can be set in BIOS and was set to 1mb when I first got it!! That's extreme graphics, yeah, extremely annoying!). Wish it had an AGP slot. Oh well! Going to sell cheap to someone who needs a basic computer hopefully.
I've had this computer and the video card said something about standard vga and it prevented me from playing any kind of 3d games and it really sucked cause I was looking forward to use blender but it was first cheap So I just threw it away. I looked up RUclips tutorials and all I could find was something about my drivers not being up to date so I tried my best to find what exactly they were and still, I had no success.
plastic clips are a real pain in the butt , i broke one anchor from the heat sink base , had to wedge a memory stick under the inside of the chassis frame and the other end of the mem chip pushing against the fan on the heat sink to keep it snug and level , can't sell it like that , i wonder would crazy glue be ok to bond the heat sink right onto the cpu chip ?
Shit... This brings back memories, I had one when I was like 7 or 8 or 9 and I remember watching lego videos and playing lego games and hotwheel games, it was so slow it didn't even pause the videos i'd play
These are great for stealthy sytems, i've done it once before.... use an aftermarket mATX intel or amd motherboard with related components, your friends will see it and think your still rock'n a POS, when they couldnt be the wiser because of whats really under the hood.
I feel like you should get a wireless microphone that hooks to your shirt or something like that. Just a suggestion, since you like to walk around a bit so the audio goes in and out a lot. Love the videos though! Keep up the good energy when recording XD
people who want to wipe the hard disk and put on windows 98 to play dos games most likely, or people who had one when they were younger and want some nostalgia
i dell dimensions are my favorite :-) that is a nice computer you have there and is faster than my secondary desktop i use. i worked on a friends computer a few weeks ago & he had 3 hard drives. the WD had failed, but the maxtor and seagate still worked that suprised me the maxtor worked still because that computer was on 24/7 for many years. :)
Actually, you have to put your own games on windows now. Windows 10 (which my custom PC is running) does not come with any games by default. If I’m wrong you can call me out for it, but unless you had an older operating system and upgraded, you’re just going to have to install your own stuff.
Definitely not. For modern games at least. 2GB of RAM isn’t going to get you far. Also a 1 core CPU. No thanks. But you could run a lot of older titles. Like GTA San Andreas. Vice city etc. If you really wanted to you could replace all of the components inside with gaming components but then it isn’t really a dell dimension 3000.
Do you buy and sell these systems with the intention of making a profit or is it a hobby/content for your site/videos and any profit is just a bonus? I see systems like this sell on ebay for $40 or less and I can't imagine there's much of that left after shipping since those cases are so heavy. It might be more profitable to part it out or to sell locally via facebook groups and craigslist.
this Dell 2400/3000 Dimension is likely a Pentium 4 cpu, which is better than the anemic Celeron CPU, 2.1 or 2.4 that the lower end Dimensions came with. I have the same comp, which when I got it from Ebay, had 256 mg of ram, which wasnt enough to run diddly. I wiped out the XP and installed Linux mint 19.2 (32 bit) and put 2 GB of RAM. It ran badly on 1 GB, so 2 GB is the minimum to run youtube decently. I have two other Dell 2400/3000 models, the one you have is in good condition exterior-wise, must have been stored for years in an attic... my two Dells i've removed the DDR1 mobo and installed DDR-3 era mobos from Dell 790 and 3020 donor machines. Now I can run Windows 10 on these sleepers!
gavin bennett Yes, but your i7 it has hyper threading, multiple cores, smaller architecture (usually measured in nanometers), uses much less power (per core count), and supports 64-bit computing. So even though this Pentium Celeron has a high clock speed, it can’t do nearly as much work as 4 cores plus 4 hyperthreads at just 32-bits.
makes sense, there are 2 good reasons not to give out your ebay name, one is you don't want subscribers to know where you live and another is you don't want to make it look like you are advertising, i totally get it and respect the fact you dont want to give me your ebay name
these computers work better with their original system, that is XP. Drivers were released for it and so components work at maximum performance only on XP. It is still fine as you can still have the most part of softwares running on XP. Great deal BTW for 3 dollars
+AA Computers and Technology Indeed they were very well built but as uxwbill once said "Only Dell has done a few stupid things to give excellent systems a black mark, like loading them with crapware and providing them with far too little random access memory to make productive usage of them".
I had one of these except with a Pentium 4.
Same
Got a 3000 with P4 also. 2 sticks of ram, sadly the HDD is dead so it's been just sitting on a shelf.
@@peterforget8296 mine too but I'm gonna resurrect the PC and install Android-x86 on it.

Stop flexing 🙄 lol!
when they sold you the pc they sold you their personal life and history :3
LMAO! "if you like this video my name is Braxton, if you don't my name is Linus" HA! Nice!
LOL
I mean, he is right. Only Linus is idiotic enough to install Linux on a computer that’s a capable retro rig.

dont install 10. it may be too heavy for it. If you want to be brave and test new try Lubuntu. lightweight linux and i bet it make your pc to fly.
Mr.Haaska I don't like anything Linux unless if it is Android.
Oscat A. There’s an android like Linux.
I know it is a really old 775 mobo, but have you looked into what other cpu's it could run? Possibly swap in a dirt cheap core 2 duo/quad, or experiment with a xenon 771?
yeah it is mPGA 478B
oops, could have sworn it was an early 775, my bad.
valid mistake i would have made it too if i had not had one of these systems myself
Actually this isn’t a socket 775. It’s a 478 socket. Which means a single core 3.4ghz is the best CPU possible for it.
hello I have a pc like or better with blue screen pop can you turn this into a gaming rig to stream and play games like battlegrounds or is just not worth the time
Good find, I picked up a Dell OptiPlex 755 for free today! It works, has the hard drive and Windows XP! I think it was a great find, but it seems to have been used as a server; the HDD has over 53,000 hours on it and it was only turned on 74 times. Wow. Great find though and keep up the good work with the videos! Looking forward to the new mic!
how can you find out how many hours it has???
+cjyou1000 use the program called Crystal Disk Info. It is available freely online. I find it very handy, as it has told me when my drive was going on a different OptiPlex.
thanks
+cjyou1000 You're welcome.
nobletea 3400 cool. I upgraded mine with 8GB of DDR2 800, a 240GB SSD and an Nvidia GeForce 9500gt 1GB card.
I have one just like it, only with a P4 CPU and 1Gb DDR2 memory, and a AGP slot with a video card in it.
I'm going to install the latest Lubuntu on it.
No dell dimension 3000 EVER came with and AGP slot. You either have a very similar case design. Or have a different motherboard installed.
I love my 530s I have upgraded it to a q6600 8g of ram win7 64bit with a low profile gtx 750 ti and a 430w psu
I have a Dell Dimension 3000 it's not showing a pitcher on the monitor so I googled it so tell me if this is the problem so I can get a pitcher Baroni701
The 3000, has no AGP or PCIe slot, you need to buy a PCI graphics card.
The 3000 troubleshooter is here BEV ??? Another thing I pulled up on google is change the Hard Drive and Dvd Drive or change the TFT and 1 CRT or the HDD but what will be the simplest thing for me to do to get pitcher and the Tower comes on ???
I actually slapped a newer moth board into one of these cases. it was a lot of work but sorta worth it. lol. damn it was dirty to start with, too
I have two of these. one of them keeps shutting off..
Man, you're lucky! I wish we had some garage sales over here. I still need some old Win 98 Retro Pc
Can I have a URL of the eBbay listing please?
Why?
maybe he wants to buy the system
Jordan Woolery Idk
why bother, he'll overprice it
the Datech fan is the worst of them. eugh. the bearings wear out faster than all the rest. the Nidecs are the longest lasting ones and will last the test of time for years to come. the PSU is one of the Dell-rebranded HiPro or Delta supplies, so that much is decent. Friend of mine in the telecom industry in western PA calls them the "Dell supplies that never die."
this is one of the newer board revisions with solid caps from slightly after the cap plague issues-- no AGP, only two RAM slots. they were built to use up what was left of the massive stock of cases they made for these style of case and sold them VERY cheaply. the RAM speed is directly affected by the CPU bus speed. the machine and the integrated graphics will directly benefit from having another stick of RAM, since it's only in single-channel mode with the single stick. if you can find some 1GB sticks, you're good. a similarly-specced dimension 2350 is what I used at a friend's with a PCI FX5200 for playing GTA San Andreas on back in 2008. but that was a Northwood non-HT P4 2.66. decent, but still slow by today's standards.
I still have my 2350 that I like having around. I put 2GB ram, p4 2.4ghz, and it has the same FX5200 I got for it a long time ago.
Better to have positive pressure with more fans drawing air in than blowing out.)
It had the Datec fan and I'm glad to read from Sudos above, that's the good one, and the PSUs are good, so it will keep going, I did oil the fan to help.
If it had an AGP slot btw, I would probably use it as a Win98 gaming pc!
What's the best way to sell an old laptop one eBay??
love the linus burn at the end lmao
Could you add a newer GPU in the PCI slot
PCI is very obsolete by 2019 (2016 when you commented) standards. Modern GPU’s are made for PCIe.
plastic clips are a real pain in the butt , i broke one anchor from the heat sink base , had to wedge a memory stick under the inside of the chassis frame and the other end of the mem chip pushing against the fan on the heat sink to keep it snug and level , can't sell it like that , i wonder would crazy glue be ok to bond the heat sink right onto the cpu chip ?
Shit... This brings back memories, I had one when I was like 7 or 8 or 9 and I remember watching lego videos and playing lego games and hotwheel games, it was so slow it didn't even pause the videos i'd play
have you sold it yet
These are great for stealthy sytems, i've done it once before.... use an aftermarket mATX intel or amd motherboard with related components, your friends will see it and think your still rock'n a POS, when they couldnt be the wiser because of whats really under the hood.
great video braxton
I feel like you should get a wireless microphone that hooks to your shirt or something like that. Just a suggestion, since you like to walk around a bit so the audio goes in and out a lot. Love the videos though! Keep up the good energy when recording XD
Why don't you get an oem pc and make it into a sleeper pc? Even this Dell would be fine for a sleeper pc. What do you think?
just fyi, those plastic thingies are very easy to remove and are super robust. I had an identical cooler and kept the box for a future project
Can I take it home to see if I can clean it?
Dell Dimensions running xp still sell? I wonder what type of people buy them.
people who want to wipe the hard disk and put on windows 98 to play dos games most likely, or people who had one when they were younger and want some nostalgia
you can still upgrade em to windows 10. i upgraded mine by buying a windows 7 key and taking the free windows 10 offer
when I tried compatibility mode on my Dell optiplex 270 it slows the machine to a crawl
i dell dimensions are my favorite :-) that is a nice computer you have there and is faster than my secondary desktop i use. i worked on a friends computer a few weeks ago & he had 3 hard drives. the WD had failed, but the maxtor and seagate still worked that suprised me the maxtor worked still because that computer was on 24/7 for many years. :)
there are spiders living inside
cool
Actually, you have to put your own games on windows now. Windows 10 (which my custom PC is running) does not come with any games by default. If I’m wrong you can call me out for it, but unless you had an older operating system and upgraded, you’re just going to have to install your own stuff.
This PC is SOOOOOOOOOO filthy!
I have the exact same dell with 2 gb ram and a 2.8 ghz pentium 4. Kicks but at old games with a geforce 6200 pci
And its a hell of a lot cleaner
with a 40 gig WD
Peter Kapica Lol do you still use it
Nathyn I do. I use it as a temporary file server. Slow 10/100 Ethernet but it works
Peter Kapica Oh cool, I plan on buying one of the cheap dell optiplex off eBay and adding a decent graphics card to it
did Xubuntu 16.04. need more than 512 mb of RAM?
Maybe consider Lubuntu. Needs even less RAM
Is it possible to turn the Dell dimension 3000 into a gaming pc
I was given this free today mine has a p4 2.8 ghz in if up the ram to 2gb & could try a 6600 GT in maybe.
My 2014 intel i7 laptop is 2.6 GHz...
gavin bennett Yes, but your i7 it has hyper threading, multiple cores, smaller architecture (usually measured in nanometers), uses much less power (per core count), and supports 64-bit computing. So even though this Pentium Celeron has a high clock speed, it can’t do nearly as much work as 4 cores plus 4 hyperthreads at just 32-bits.
HWandW bruh
Where do you find all these garage sales? simply insane lol
nothing from what i seen try having computer layered in dust that the dust was black and it still turned on and booted
I got mine in the dumpster and a inspiron 531s but my 3000 uses a Pentium 4 and not a celeron
was it dusty?????
take a shot each time he inhales after a sentence
what is your ebay store pls
I do not give my eBay store name out to subscribers, sorry. Also I am not posting it on eBay till tomorrow due to time.
makes sense, there are 2 good reasons not to give out your ebay name, one is you don't want subscribers to know where you live and another is you don't want to make it look like you are advertising, i totally get it and respect the fact you dont want to give me your ebay name
i made a key chain from a cpu just like this one in this pc
Jason Kolibarov cool idea! :) im gonna make 1 from and intel AND amd processor! thanks! :)
Hi I have this pc laying in my garage but it has a pentium 4 in it is that bad?
Why would that be bad? A pentium 4 is the best CPU you can get for it.
you shoudlve put a gt 740 in it to see how it would perform
upgradeable to 2gb ram?
2GB is a the maximum amount of RAM it can handle.
these computers work better with their original system, that is XP. Drivers were released for it and so components work at maximum performance only on XP. It is still fine as you can still have the most part of softwares running on XP. Great deal BTW for 3 dollars
pochopsp Yeah but the pc would be useless on xp its to outdated
i have a comaq evo n600c laptop I got it from a garage sale for $3 it has a Pentium 3 in it
my old school has a bunch of those that believe it or not..THEY STILL USE!!
browsing the modern web with an old celeron must be fun..
i dont have any use for the that system lol, might be interested in the hp compaq tower :D
I love the old Dell Dimension line, I still have my Dimension 2350 and 4600 in service. Thanks for uploading this :).
They are reliable PC's I ran one as a server for a little and it never skipped a beat!
+AA Computers and Technology Indeed they were very well built but as uxwbill once said "Only Dell has done a few stupid things to give excellent systems a black mark, like loading them with crapware and providing them with far too little random access memory to make productive usage of them".
Is that 32bit or 64bit
