I've tried 3 of these with no luck. Initially they are great but after a few hours they will not hold center and you constantly have to adjust your trim. Time to spend a little more on a quality servo.
Really? I had one in my Kraton (30kg). Last me 2 and half years without a problem. Just replaced like for like about a month ago, and so far, the new ones holding up well
I have a 25kg one of these in my outcast 6s, has been working great. Definitely planning on getting the 35kg one eventually though and putting my 25kg one in my stampede 4x4.
Guys, I bought the blue 35 about a month ago, it's quick, it has the torque to do the job. but after around 3 hours of use i noticed slop in my steering when wiggling the wheels side to side. the problem ended up being center slop in the servo. I could have just got a bad one but keep an eye on it or it will drive you nutz!
I'm sure it does. But here in New England there are alot of cracks and crevasses and really rough surfaces. The servo gets worked hard. The tires get stuck in there and you are done or need to choose another line. I would recommend the 35kg for a little more money. Put a Kraton 6s on a carpet and steer back and forth a few times. Not much happening. That said, just depends on the need and more importantly the budget.
Yes I have the red one. I can say it’s better than what comes stock. But I can’t say if they are as strong as they say or they they’re better than other aftermarket servos
Yeah, my Granite is hard on servos. Mine took a 25kg version of this out in three sessions. It strips the brass gears. Get the beefier one or spend more for steel gears.
My friend just put the 25kg in my old granite. It works excellent. Edit: the granite we have is actually a Granite Voltage. It’s their hundred dollar version. It likely has a less powerful everything. However he did switch it over to 3s and brushless.
Another good video, I appear to be about 1-2 years behind in the fast paced rc world...lol I just got my 3s infraction(but snow and ice have prevented trying it out) and my servo in my kagama just went on me. I bought the 35 kg servo to try it out. I don't race, strictly rc for fun and I don't need the best of the best. If it works half way decent I will be fine, cheers. Is it straight forward to install in 1/8 corally trucks? looks easy enough, we will see. thx for all the info.
Yeah sometimes it can be a little bit of a loose fit and he was probably just doing it for these demonstrations. Best just to learn and solder and put ec5 on everything lol and reason I say ec5 is because they are easiest to solder imo.
These aren’t all the same just as a side note, especially the DS3218 regular vs pro 25kg, the regular version is lacking in speed and torque, just not a great servo maybe about the same as stock servos. The pro is noticeably faster and stronger though, still leaves a bit to be desired when watching videos of super fast servos. Currently trying to find one around that $30 mark that can compete with the more expensive ones. Doesn’t seem out of the question since the $18 DS3218 pro is pretty good, just not lighting fast.
Hi, check out RC Review. He tests every servo including these. The numbers are way over rated. I'm using the 35 kg blue one in my lasernut. Put those down on the carpet 😀
@@Todd_G_FPV I don't have anything as big as that. I guess it's what the need is. The 35kg is about twice the power of the 2075x that came in my TRX4. I moved the 35kg into the Lasernut and I went big on the TRX4 and put in a reefs 555. Crazy power! Get the 35kg. It will always be available for another project if you upgrade later.

yep... agree👍🏾
Savox no 1

I replaced the servo in my Mojave with the 35kg and love it! Now I'm putting them in everything lol 😆
Thank you so much! I just ordered two of the 35Kg using your link for my Kronos 6s and Radix 6s!
Thank you! I’m making something completely unrelated, but it’s nice to see that it most likely will work!
I have a 25kg one of these in my outcast 6s, has been working great. Definitely planning on getting the 35kg one eventually though and putting my 25kg one in my stampede 4x4.
Running the 35 in my 1/8 Kraton exb on 8s with the bec set at 7.5v and so far it's been great.
i heard the servo out of the 80lb monster truck is really good.
If you are referring to the 50 buck primal 1/5 servo, it I absolutely killer in my k8.
@@brutallyaverage8293 haha yeah, that one. i saw the 200 dollar one too. sooo much torque.
I have two of those blue 35kg servo on my crawlers for about a year now. No problem at all
The 35kg was lit.
I use to run those in my old heavy 3.3 t-maxx and work great and that heavy truck
The issue with the blue servos is the servo arm play you can make the servo turn 1/5 turn before it starts to hold.
They might be better now i got one for my 1/10 scale basher we'll see how it holds up
I have been useing these for a long time and i have had great luck with them for the price you cant beat them but great vid have a great day
They work awesome I have one in my brushless Granite [mega]

Thanks for the video i may buy one for my arrma thyphon
I've had great luck with them
Good video comparison. I've been using these for a few years in crawlers...
The 35kg can be run at higher voltage I think and its faster than the red 30kg and 25kg because it is a coreless servo. Hope they work out for you👊🏽

@@loum7008 I appreciate the info but after 35yrs with RCs I've got steering servos coverd..😁
Do you think they will hold up without servo saver ? Thanks JT.

Funny how you just uploaded a servo video I'm actually looking for a servo for my Arrma granite right now ! Thanks for the review 👍🏻
nice timing I guess 🙃🎊🎉

@@Dreson45 holy cow mine doesn't strip brass gears my motors go bad it's happened 2 times in like a month spectrum servos are junk

The “real test” is how well it re-centers and its precision or “dead-band”. Torque and speed are the only thing these cheap servos do okay at.
Hey quick question can it take a 3s lipo?
I used those 20kg in 3 of my buggies and i love them
I have the 20 in my 2wd Rustler, looking to get the 35 for my Rustler 4x4 vxl, great info as always!

Is the 35kg the pro model?
I've had the red one in a my ecx amp for probably 2 years
is that 35kg a good 6s v5 kraton upgrade?
Did you reset your end points after installing the servo just asked you didn't talk about it
Question....is that an EC5 plugged directly into an XT90? Is that ok to do? I'd rather not have to keep ordering adapters

I bought 2 of those 35kg servos and put them im my limitless and my kraton 6s exb
How did the 35kg servo go in the kraton 6s? Thinking about buying one for my 6s
I’ve run these servos with no issues (so far) as others have said! They are cheap $ for sure
Awesome stuff man thank you.
cool upgrade and info
Thanks 👍

i use very good HiTec / Traxxas servos are good on my any R/C tamiyas / traxxases...
few futabas servos
These don't last I had one in my kids stampede and after a few runs it just spins
I run those but the 0.09 sec ones
Man first again. I love this channel

Hello folks, a 35 kg servo is enough for an Arrma Kraton 6s Exb. Thank you very much from 🇵🇪
yes.but what is speed of it
