The Master of the Telecaster. Bowing to one of the great Guitar Gods. How lucky we are, to hear the man play. Hope he stays in VA, where he is loved and revered. Thanks , Bill. The good times and good tunes are forever burned in our souls.
Way too beautiful, glad to see this posted and to see Mr. Kirchen still at it...spent countless Thursday nights at the Sunset Grill in Annandale, Virginia to see his band. Thank you!
His show at Abilene last weds at the Rochester International Jazz Fest stood out for purity quality humor & joy.....my face hurt afterwards from laughing & smiling so much.GREAT BAND! thanx Bill!
Wow Im sorry I missed Seeing and Hearing Bill in Texas great player and song.. I used to live down the block from Red in Austin amazing players to behold.. they make it look easy...
Down to seeds and stems again. Smokers these days wouldn't have a clue, and damn sure don't understand how an album cover has anything to do with it. What's an album anyway.
@@davezelzer That's for sure. The stuff around today is so potent it takes me a half hour to compose an e-mail. It was all Mex and Columbian (seeds & stems). Wowie and Sensi (a few seeds & stems) Most of us just grew it out in the woods in the warm months and stashed the plants upside down in the attic. I didn't know anyone who didn't have seed burns on their shirts. Ha!
Don't think so - It's a Big Tex - check out his website - he can make you one just like it. Bill is the tops - lots of smiling faces - great entertainer. See him if you can
What is this amp??! I'ma guess.. Has to be Fender.. Some type a Reverb.. Deluxe Reverb? Not quite clean enough for Twin.. Any ideas? Or wait, Is that a Mesa Boogie blue light I see back there...
close to Lake Placid Blue. Only one I know in that color was the JagStang. Owned one back in mid 90s. Pawned it, and a RAT distortion pedal for 50 bucks. Drugs are bad, mmmkay??
It's a Big Tex tele. It says "Big Tex" on the headstock and I found this article that says it is is a Big Tex tele in the small print under the top photo: www.premierguitar.com/articles/Bill_Kirchen_The_Dieselbilly_King_Rides_Again
Less talk, more music=more famous. Never talk before, between, or after numbers except to say: "Hello .........." ;"This one's for the freedom fighters" ; and; "Goodnight".
Bill played our wedding reception, a most wondrous experience.
ahhhh, that sound... I´m in love... great band..

Tasty solo Bill. Great tone.
This guy is one of the best guitarists I've ever seen. Besides that, he has a sense of humor, and is fun to watch.
I've just discovered this guy, I alrready love him
He really understands the real nature of tele and takes most out of it.
My late mother loved this song - she heard me play it once and kept asking me to play it for her - even after I explained what the words meant!
Seeds and stems. We're old school
yea bud doesn't have those .no popping seeds to set the front seat to smoldering LOL
Glad to see such a sad, sad, topic addressed.....we've all been there.

Loved this band.
Bill's one of the best tele players - love the way he turns his knobs around to get the wah sound on his spanky chicken pickin'.
dean zelinsky does that on his dellateras aka his version of a tele!

Yea I feel ya. Great memories of my best friends older brother breaking up some bud on an old Almond bros album.
It's all sticky bud now or shake. I can remember the days of buying an ounce of colombian for $20.00., but half of it, was seeds and stems too.
@@starjunkie2804 Here in the North, we could buy what was called a five finger lid... 10 dollars. Probably over an ounce. It ain't 1969 anymore.
