I can listen to this lick over and over and over. This cat is so cool, I bet he did this all in one take! Love to see guys and lessons like this on the internet, thank you for posting this!
This is a whole new guitar technique! Bill Kirchen has a great sound on his instrument. He has taste and plays wonderfully musical phrases that sound extremely pleasing. Then he Chicken Pops all over the top of it! I'm in love.
What a guitar hero! I've never heard anything like it. I've got a pretty unique angle on guitar as I do a lot of Slapping and Popping - but not actually 'Popping' popping. That's incredible. The whole slap and pop thing comes from bass players like Mark King - You can understand where the Slap comes from, but the 'Pop' thing just means bringing the higher strings back up on the reverse stroke with your index finger typically, after the thumb has 'slapped'. It doesn't actually sound like a 'Pop'. This however, really does sound like a 'Pop'. Chicken Poppin' good!
This teacher is the best teacher for country style on youtube 👌🏼👏👏👏
Long live Bill Kirchen and his popcorn sound! Amazing!

Wow, Bill can play like no other. Great at explaining, and awesome that he took the time to do so.

Chicken pick'in by Bill Kitchens...It's REAL.
Can this riff be found in a recorded song?
Cool.....like someone tapping the bottom of a plastic mug sounding very percussive....an extension of the chicken picking technique
stari majstori na gitari
That is cute.
