That's the cons if you're taking the bus which stops at every bus-stop along the route. The timing is so unpredictable. The traffic, the weather, the accidents and sometime the animals i.e the livestocks can all contribute to the delay. It's better to take the express bus, a bit more consistent.
Are you rail averse? You walk a lot of places the LRT/MRT/Monorail could take you easily and quickly. For instance, it sounded like you thought of Klang. Every vlogger I've seen visit Klang did so by rail. Just curious. FYI, there is no rail connection across the border to Thailand. The Thai shut it down years ago.
