I really needed this video so much! I got follow botted last week with 1k followers and Twitch still hasn't done anything after reaching out multiple times. I was quite anxious of getting banned but after you clarifying, I'm quite relaxed again and even know what to do to make the chance of being botted again much less likely

But after watching this video, it reassured me that it’s okay and to just keep learning and grinding. I don’t know if you’ll see this, but your videos help a lot.
I usually have verified email on. It's honestly one of the most effective ways of dealing with bots. A maker of bots isn't going to constantly verify each bot in order to view channels.
This video came as perfect timing! I had so much issues with spam-bots, f2fbots and promotionbots ruining my chats that I stopped streaming some months ago.
hello my g, i have been botted lots of times before, even with 1000 live viewers that costs some money, or a 10k followers, but never paid attenion to it, today i said on my stream that applying for partner is getting hurt by bots and i got botted again, i just wanna say to my drillas out there, thanks to this guy we have some solution, and also never give up, there is always people who gonna give u hard times when you do better than them !
Thank you for this! Still new. I got raided within the first couple days of streaming and I got a ton of followers (96). I didn't even have game audio coming through! I thought it was cool at the time but just didn't seem real. The only chatters I get are people trying to sell me on graphic design! I adjusted my mod settings and even added Sery Bot. Hopefully it helps!
Great vid! I like how your 'how to add a blocked phrase' example uses a phrase you'd never, ever wanna block... I mean we all know 'moist' is one of the best words to exist... right?? 👀

If you block the bots or people you don’t want following you in general, they will be removed from your followers list. /block *username* in the chat and you’re good to go.
I’m just chilling, I have a baby so uploads are a bit more sporadic and I’ve been making more niche videos because I find them fun, it makes sense people see them less :)

Just saying but having your follow verification to 2 weeks or even 6 months doesn't do anything. I am being follow botted every day almost and the accounts are over a year old. Verrrrry irritating because nothing seems to keep it from happening D:
@@StreamScheme yeah so what I did was set shield mode to have phone verification on. I don't want that on usually but I've been being follow botted almost every day so I am hoping that'll help! Email verification is always on in general and they still get through with just that D:
The permanent "followers only" mode. I really do think that most who do it are just doing it to increase follower numbers (regardless of what they say), and if you've been on Twitch for longer than 6 months, then as a viewer, what you end up doing it just x'ing the tab immediately and going somewhere else. So, I imagine that backfires, because I'm not going to follow a channel that I'm now not watching.
This video is very good, however I wish Twitch would have better security to help against this growing problem as its getting even worse, there is a very helpful website that has a very large database of these bot accounts going all the way back to 2018, which they have stated twitch is aware of and tried to shut down... Big yikes in my opinion Twitch just doesn't care about streamers Safety, as ive had them spamming slurs and threats to my safety. Not to mention i have all the needed Safety tools so they cant harm me anymore, but they will remain lurking in my stream waiting until i raid out, than targeting the people i raid out to causing me to be blamed for it and being massively reported and banned even though it had nothing to do with me. I explained all of this to twitch and their response was to just not raid out if they are botting me, but due to having the safety precautions I dont even know they are in my chat at all so its a big mess ans twitch needs to step up to actually do more about this issue as it grows with some bots being in over 500,000 different streams according to the website previously mentioned
Bots can’t be in that many streams :) twitch updates the rules so unverified bots can only be in a handful. Not sure what more they can do on that regard. Personally it sounds like you should stop raiding out, if you know it’s hurting others, I wouldn’t continue it.
@@StreamScheme I'm confused though as I did some digging and every persons stream I saw had the same handful of bots lurking I'm not sure if they are "twitch verified" as they all seem interconnected to other bot accounts that were lurking so it's all very confusing. But yeah I unfortunately can't raid out anymore due to the issue, I just wish twitch would be a bit more secure with the growing hate bot rise, though I'm not sure what they can do against it

Stopping banned users from viewing stream is a feature we have needed since twitch existed...better late then never I guess

Can you do a vlog about ads not appearing their live stream, i see having bugs on twitch not appearing their ads
Don't trust any random spambots. Any given bot can scrape your channel info, get other user names in chat to spam them later, etc.

fortnite bots are annoying. And twitch ones
