Chiang was the most interesting and complex character in the whole show. His scenes are all my favorite. I kind of want NWR to make a black and white film next.

It's sweet to see that the show was a family affair. Also, it's kind of trippy to see Andreas as just a regular guy compared to the terrifying character he plays on the show, makes me appreciate his performance even more

it‘s weird since CC especially had the vibe for me that Jang tried his best to compromise his excessive style a bit to be a little more approachable for the sake of going hand in hand with CCs lynchian meta plane … still not casually enough it looks like. Rooting to see more from Netflix Winding Refn tho … a man can dream … lets see what the future holds.

He's playing us with the extraterrestrial business, but then Sun Ra did the same thing. Sometimes creating a cult of cool involves saying things that everyone knows aren't true but fit a harmless enigma.
Phenomenal show and great documentary. My ONLY complain is why did you not show more of Nic crying? It seemed like a very personal and interesting moment inside the mind of such a great artist
Not a fan of explaining art, so I won‘t do it in a literal way but to guide you a little bit: pay attention to what Miu does throughout her journey and fundamentally represents in CC and then look back at the sequence in EP6 and pay attention to what Refn did to visually describe & explain the character of Rakel (and her family).

He reminds me of David Lynch. Same problem in his films - he lets you walk around his head for 2hrs but he doesn’t know where to take you.
He’s been trying to make his own TP: The Return ever since TOTDY
I love refn, but he’s nowhere near the same level as lynch. Refn also over explains his films and removes any sort of mystery or interpretation.
