When you go tiny, the expectation is to be able to live debt free or close to debt free. These prices are crazy! They're just as expensive as a regular house and some don't even have full kitchens.
Most of these besides the first for sure don't seem to be actual tiny homes in the sense that they've been come to be known. There's a lot of them that just seem to be vacation cabins and cottages that people are selling after renting them out for years. The space has not been utilized very well like you see in modern tiny homes. I saw some absolutely amazing tiny homes on a RUclips channel in Australia and New Zealand that were 500-600sqft that looked much bigger because of the way they utilized the space. Not just Australia but many amazing tiny homes are on RUclips

Eating fresh is difficult at best in the winter in WY. Lots of snow to drive through to get to the store, everyday, to eat fresh 😊. High ceilings lose heat too -
I would have chosen #2 - the guy was kind of a controller. House 2 was Hawaii and right on the beach. They could have gently trimmed foliage to see the water. Furthermore, it wouldn’t have been difficult to screen in the kitchen and bathroom. I get his concerns, but it was the best. The chose a house w/o any character, landscaping or sense of Hawaii. He wasn’t willing to compromise and then 30,000 over budget. I bet SHE is paying for it
Why is it that realtors can NEVER come up with a house that is NOT over budget and/or in a part of town (or in this case state) where you want to be?? We absolutely refused to look at anything that wasn't in the area we wanted to be or that was over our budget. I know they do it to get a bigger commission but that is not being in it to make the client happy.
They are in it to make the client happy. The client is the vendor not the purchaser. A higher price is going to benefit both the real estate agent and the vendor. Its the agents job to get the best price they can.
Why do none of these talk about wastewater disposal on these remote houses? I'm sure they are on some type of Septic system, but what condition is it in? Having to upgrade or reinstall one costs thousands which can mess up a budget.

That first house is ridiculously priced. I have seen so many other tiny homes on living tiny the TV show and completely tricked out 650 sq for just over 100 thousand. Just ask the famous Rapper who is now a designer on HGTV.
I hate it when small houses are called tiny. In my categorization: Tiny is 128 - 320 square feet. 320 - 600 can be called a mini-house. Any thing over 600, and let's say up to 1200, can be called a small house.
Getting the membership is super easy, just takes a few minutes. But Costco does not replace other stores. They don’t carry everything. It’s an important part of shopping, but you still need other stores for things Costco does not carry.

That salesman is not very knowledgeable - maybe he doesn't know any better or the company he works for just doesn't offer good options, which is odd - I've several tiny house companies that seem to not offer 'it all' - how is that possible? The internet is flooded with tiny homes that have so much more than some building companies offer. Just about everything is definitely possible! The original tiny house concept was to build a house that was affordable, customized and with good quality materials at a fraction of the cost of a regular house. This is laughable.
