Great Session Catching Cod Pollack and Mackerel on Lures - Kayak Sea Fishing UK

- I had another fantastic day at Cambois fishing for cod, pollack and mackerel on the lures and light gear. I was up at 5:00am to beat the wind but it was 100% worth it with some great fish to the kayak. The rough ground around Blyth North Pier was the most productive with soft plastics and metals doing the business as usual.

Sounds like Robson green 😂 great vid mate.
He sounds like me man! 🤣 Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍🎣
After binge watching all your awesome vid's I really hope you'r going to be posting some more soon. After a few years break, I'm getting my kayak ready for a stint off Dover. I've never tried lure fishing but you've got me hooked. I really like the look of the Wildcat and was wondering how the battery for the motor is installed.. Thanks for many hours of entertainment.
Hi mate, good going if you’ve gotten through them all! Everything is primed and ready to go - has been all winter but the bloody weather has been atrocious! Haven’t had a day I’ve been off with less than 10mph wind since November! I’m keeping everything crossed for a settled spell and the minute the wind and the sea dies off I’ll be out! I don’t have a motor for the wildcat but I keep the battery for the sturgeon motor in a box behind the seat. Hope you get out soon pal! Tight lines 👍🎣
Wow wotta fish ❤
Thanks mate 😊🎣
Fishing at it's best or what? Cheers for the video.👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
Definitely worth getting up early for mate 👍🎣
Yes, Ha Haa, Brilliant .... your merch should definitely include that :)
🤣🎣
Some lovely fish there Chris, you must have had a great day . Loved it .
It was lush, couldn’t get moved for mackerel at times though! 👍🎣
Cracking video as always! You had a great session
Thanks very much I’m glad you enjoyed it. There’s been some canny fish around this year 👍🎣
Awesome video mate! Cheers
Thanks very much James I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍🎣
Lovely conditions Chris...chucking it down here..
It didn’t last Jim, the wind was blowing a hooley by lunchtime (as forecast) hence the 5:00am start. Some lovely fish though so absolutely worth it 👍🎣
Cracking session Chris
Thanks Joe mate, definitely worth the early start 👍🎣
another good video chris
Thanks very much David I’m glad you enjoyed it 👍🎣
Many thanks for posting some great content. Interesting how the sea can change from 1 minute to the next. Still waiting to get out, at least we now know that low pressure is driving the weather and the seas...can't be long now. Best wishes, Kev
I’m really glad you’re enjoying the content Kev. Yeah that wind was not forecast to swing into the west, when it did it met a huge tide going over some serious depth changes which is the last thing you want. Wind over tide in that situation is a bit of a nightmare. Luckily I didn’t have far to go to get back to shore 👍🎣
Well I really enjoy your fishing sessions 😉 much better than a lot on here..
Thanks very much, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content 👍🎣
great Vid mate
Thanks very much Jason 👍🎣
Great video Chris. Any chance in your future videos of showing you launching and landing?
Hi mate glad you enjoyed it, I used to do that but it turns out most people want you to get straight into the fishing! If you look at a few earlier vids you’ll see the launch and there’s one last year at Beadnell where I got tipped out on landing 🤣. Tight lines mate 👍🎣
Nice video. I can almost remember what it's like to get out😂😂😂
That blinking wind man! It’s been a right pain! 👍🎣
Another great video at a local mark. Need to get out !!! Maybe next weekend West permitting 🤞
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed it. This wind had been a right pain hasn’t it! Had to get up very early to hit the weather window but totally worth it 👍🎣
Been waiting on this all week , my new sib arrived I’ll be out this Friday coming
Excellent news William! Let us know how you get on 👍🎣
Love your video's. Recently bought my first kayak (Cambridge sunfish 2+1) and looking forward to hitting the mackerel here on the Moray Firth with my daughters.
See you later pal 🙌
Happy new kayak! Hope you have a great time on the water with the kids. Glad you’re enjoying the content! 👍🎣
Another great video , every time you say stick a bit of the stink on I think of my Evre drivers car after a bottle of signature squid went all over her van lol 😂
Oh dear! I bet she was she was happy about that! 🤣🎣
@@onthedropfishing she still reminds me of it every time she comes with a parcel 📦,
👍🍺
Cheers! 👍🎣
do you ever venture out into fresh waters? you should try loch lomond mate. love the videos btw just bought myself the force model from galaxy kayaks
Once in a while I do, I’ve done a bit of pike fishing in the past but I don’t publish that as pike anglers are very hard to please! 🤣. Happy new kayak!!! 👍🎣
Class! Is that little tackle box fitted to your rail marra?
Yes mate, it’s a cheap (£7) toolbox from BnM 😊🎣
Hi mate great vid, just after a bit of advice, do you know if the galaxy fx explora kayak are a good buy ? Cheers
Hi Neil I’ve replied on your other comment pal 👍🎣
Chris, what suit, boots and buoyancy aid, do you use?
Typhoon PS 330 Extreme Drysuit, Palm Gradient Boots and NRS Chinook OS Fishing PFD 👍🎣
Another great watch. What app do you use for your weather Chris ?
Hi mate, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I use Windy premium app. It’s the most accurate in my humble opinion and does wind, swell, current and pretty much everything else 👍🎣
Like the vids - what kind of dry suit is that? And does it act as a PFD
Thanks very much I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. It’s a typhoon PS330 and I am actually wearing a PFD as well. It’s just the same colour, it’s an NRS Chinook OS Fishing 👍🎣
Hi. Great videos. Just bought a kayak. Looking for drysuit. There are no more Ps330. There is some older ps220 for sale. Is it not too hot in warmer days spring/autumn? Looking at it and I dont like these pockets near chest. because I will wear pfd and the pockets will be useless. Thanks!
I've just subscribed recently..my question do you from time to time eat fish ,as I noticed all fish gets returned ..curious ?
Hey mate , thanks for the sub it’s much appreciated. I like to see them swim away as a rule but if one doesn’t go back for whatever reason it definitely gets munched 👍🎣
Do you keep any fish mate ? Avid watcher for awhile now great videos
Thanks Andrew I’m glad you’re enjoying the content. I put them back as a rule but if one doesn’t make it it gets munched 👍🎣
Hi Chris really enjoyed your video as usual Chris is your kayak a galaxy and what model is it it seems sturdy tight lines mate
Hi mate, glad you enjoyed it. This one is a Galaxy Sturgeon but I also have a Galaxy Supernova and the New Wildcat. All very stable. If you do fancy a Galaxy the channel has a discount code OTD5 will save you a few quid 👍🎣
Really fancy getting into this next summer… but one thing might be a problem, do you get sea sickness on a kayak?, is it bad/worse than a boat?
I don’t get sea sick myself so I couldn’t say really. I have a pal who does when it’s a bit rough but he just takes a sea sickness tablet on those days and he’s fine 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing thanks for quick reply, I’ll persevere I reckon, seems a shame to miss out
Hi. Sturgeon FX owner here. Nice video, thanks! How are you finding that electric centre mounted motor? What kind of battery are you using? And what's that good looking tackle box at your front left, please? Cheers.
Hey mate, the motor has been great for me, Ive been using it since September last year. I use a 100ah LiFePO4 battery which is total overkill but it means I can get three trips between charges when I’m away. A 60ah LiFePO would probably be more than enough for most. There’s a discount code on the channel if you do fancy one OTD5 will save you a few quid 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing Many thanks for that. Much appreciated! I've been looking at a 100Ah battery and the price has dropped considerably. I'd rather have a load of redundant power iif needed than run flat...! ;-) Thanks for the discount code. Also appreciated!
hi mate do you have andy parts cable and transduder mount for the reveal 5 cant find mine
Mate if you’d asked me a month ago! I don’t have the transducer now I’m afraid. Sorry pal 🥺
@@onthedropfishing HI CHRIS i LOKING FOR THE HOOK 5 POWER LEAD DONT KNOW WHAT I DONE WITH MINE
@geordiepiper2615 I don’t have one I’m afraid matey 👍
Why didn't you go out on the new wildcat?
This was Monday the wildcat came on Wednesday 👍🎣
What's funny as there is nothing funny at all
Just turn the volume down and put some tunes on John 😊🎣
There's always one.
