    Good day!
    I am sixteen and am really trying to obtain overall positivity and gracefulness. Yet, I think it is very hard to do so, when (let's say in school) you are put into inescapable situations with very crude, rude or negative people. In fact, very often people who love gossiping about people who try to improve their personality. Also, it's sometimes strange to be the only odd one out, when many other girls nowadays sadly look down on being a lady and self-improvement. Any advice?
    Have a nice day!

      Alyssa, thank you for your question. The life of a lady always involves taking the high road (and is not easy or convenient). Rudeness, negativity and gossip may be popular, but you don’t have to engage in those activities.
      It sounds like you could use more positive, kind friends in your circle. My suggestion would be to keep your head held high, even if you’re looked down upon for being a lady - and find some new like-minded friends! Perhaps you could join a new club at school or sign up to play a sport that you’re interested in to make new connections! The life of a lady doesn’t have to be lonely!
      Good luck!

      Hi Alyssa! ☺️ I know that this an older comment, but I just turned 17 and I’m in sort of the same boat. I’d like to improve myself and live a more elegant lifestyle, but it’s difficult to find likeminded people in my age group. If you’re looking for friends that have similar interests, I would love to get to know you better!

    I agree! I think everybody believe you, because you are also charming. 😊
    The problem is, when you are charming, most of the people don't know how to handle with it, they abuse , will be addicted of you and don't leave you alone anymore. You don't need to be a vip to have alot of fans or everyone want to be your friends. That's take alot of energy .

    Hey!
    I've recently found your channel, and I have a question.
    Just today, I was sitting on my own in the 6th Form block of my school, and some men made some sexist comment towards me. Now, I usually have a very quick comeback, but I kept quiet today.
    How would a lady come back to a rude comment while maintaining dignity and not losing her cool? Thanks! :) xxx

    • @TheModernLady
      @TheModernLady  7 лет назад +3

      Hi Amy, thanks for watching my video! I think the best course of action to take is to a stand for yourself, instead of keeping quiet.
      If you’re comfortable with it, you can address the harasser directly and tell him how it makes you feel when he says something inappropriate, for example “Please don’t make sexual comments to me. When you do that, I feel uncomfortable. I prefer you respect me, or just don’t acknowledge me at all.”
      A second option would be to address the harasser and define the behavior then explain it is distasteful, for example “Making overtly sexual comments to complete strangers is inappropriate. Please don’t speak like that to me again.”
      How do you typically respond? You mentioned you usually have a quick comeback when situations like that occur.

    • @amy__foad2648
      @amy__foad2648 7 лет назад +2

      The Prep Pursuit thank you for your detailed response! I will try and put these both into practice. Usually, I'll say a remark which cuts them down to size, and stuns them. However, in the heat of the moment these remarks are not always polite. Thank you again 😊

    • @TheModernLady
      @TheModernLady  7 лет назад +1

      You’re welcome, Amy!
      I understand! An initial reaction is typically fueled by emotion, which totally is understandable because anyone is likely to be angry too, if someone made those remarks!
      I’m glad you found the advice helpful!

    Hi Mam,
    This time I want your favour.
    Can you suggest me personally or through your videos...How to deal with Ex Friend?? (One with whom you don't want to talk)...& With Ex Boyfriend?? (One with whom I wanted to talk).
    I believe that sometimes it's necessary to ignore such people..but if I am such a kind of person who can't ignore..then what to do?
    I don't want to loose my grace by ignoring.
    If I am talking, am I compromising with my self respect.??
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Surabhi Pandey.

    • @TheModernLady
      @TheModernLady  7 лет назад

      Thank you, Surabhi for watching my video.
      If you want to no longer communicate with your ex-boyfriend, I would suggest you tell him you think it’s best that since you all are broken up, you go your separate ways, including communication. He should understand. If he does not honor and respect your request, it is not improper to let him know again you want to stop communicating and if necessary, begin to ignore him. Hopefully he will respect your wishes and be polite to honor ending communication since your previous relationship has already ended.
      I hope this is helpful!
      Have a wonderful weekend!

    How to control anger?

    • @TheModernLady
      @TheModernLady  6 лет назад +3

      The best way to control anger is to take a few deep breaths before saying or doing something that would later be regretted.
      Taking the high road in a difficult situation when you are angry is not easy, but is always worth it.
